From Wall Street Journal and USA Today Bestselling Author M. Robinson comes a second chance romance.
From the moment I laid eyes on her, Kinley was mine.
At fifteen years old I was determined to make it happen, but we were on and off for years until I got it right between us and finally made her my wife.
We were supposed to be forever.
So in love. So devoted. So consumed with each other. But somewhere along the way we lost sight of that love.
Ten years later and that love became anger. That devotion began to crumble, and we were consumed with resentment of life not working out the way we had planned.
We meant it when we vowed for better or for worse...

"How could we let life just get in the way of our love for each other?" Let me start by saying I loved this book. There was so much hurt and pain, but also so much feeling and SO. MUCH. LOVE! M. Robinson broke me with this book, and I had tears in my eyes, but she did put me back together in the end, and gave me all the feels.
"He was in my veins, in my blood, imprinted so deep in my bones I didn't know where I began and he ended." I loved Christian. Everything about him. His protective streak, which I'd already had a glimpse of in the previous book, and how much he loves Kinley. It's all-encompassing, she's his home, she's everything to him, and he doesn't know how to be without her.
"I was losing myself in her." It may be hard for some people to connect to Kinley, but it was easy for me. Her love for him is obvious, and she may just love him enough to let him go, so he can be happy. And that's where she's wrong. There is no happiness for Christian without her, and the same is true for her.
"The feelings he ignited inside of me were what fairy tales were made of. I never thought I'd find a love like his." This is a second chance story, but these are not two people who have fallen out of love or who are in a rut. They love each other, there is no chance of anyone else coming between them... but themselves. There's a lot of resentment and past blame for a couple who's been together for 20 years, and they've allowed themselves to be sidetracked from what really matters – each other.
"From the first time I claimed your lips, you were mine." M. Robinson goes back and forth in the story, showing us how they got to this point. How they met, how they fell in love, what they've shared, and him taking all her firsts. It's not linear, you see things happening in the past, you know where it leads to, and it fucking breaks your heart. She could easily have told it in the usual way, from the good, to the drama, and back to the good, but part of why I loved it so much is exactly because it's written this way. It felt real, and so powerful, to me.
The tension in this book is different from the previous one, and there aren't a lot of steamy moment. But the ones you get... yep, they're hot. I love how they fit together.
"I'll always replace your bad memories with my love for you." I'm keeping this spoiler free, and telling you only that they have a rough journey, but their love for each other is just so deep it can take on the freaking world. It's more than enough to set them apart and bring them back stronger than they've ever been before, to face forever together.
Thank you, Wildfire Marketing Solutions, for my ARC copy. This is my honest review.
typical marriage in crisis book. the plot was so repetitive that it got tiring after some point of time. someone explain to me how the h can’t get pregnant for/since 10 years or so but later just having sex with H a day or two before their divorce she gets pregnant????🤡🤡 Also, if you were having fertility issues, go to a fucking doctor for gods sake why do u want a divorce instead💀
to add: there was no such thing which mentioned she had fertility issues cause she didn’t visit the doctor but still she had her mind set on the fact that she couldn’t conceive. It was absurd to me that how she believed she couldn’t conceive at all and planned to divorce her husband.

I can only imagine how much sweat, blood and tears an author must put into a book only for some readers to give it a low rating. I’m SO sorry for what will follow: That storyline was one of the worst I’ve ever read. It was all over the place and had a tad to much of everything. I caught myself jumping over the words just to make it quickly to the end. The book follows a married couple. Literally highschool sweethearts and soulmates but after 20 years together and even married, the woman wants a divorce. At first the reader doesn’t get to know why but after a while one could figure out the reasoning. Which is plain dumb if I’m being honest. About until 60% you’ll get to know the couple better. How they met, how they got together and their endless love for each other. Mind they were still kids when they met but were talking about serious “forever loving” stuff. Very unrealistic. So why the divorce? Because the wife allegedly couldn’t conceive. Even though the husband is a OBGYN she refused to let herself checked by him. She just assumes that it’s almost impossible to get pregnant that’s why she wants the divorce. But they still love each other and even fuc* all the time. Which results in a *surprise* unplanned pregnancy. Which leads to throwing away their plans of divorcing each other. Which leads to me questioning why? Like wtf did I just read? A healthy marriage is not only about giving birth to babies. It wasn’t even an option to discuss surrogacy, adoption or IVF treatments. That is 20 years of marriage for you. Literally no communication and arguing over nonsense. I really anticipated the release of this book. And once it was available I BOUGHT it. I have KU but despite that I bought that book. I should’ve known it sounded too good to actually be that good. That is literally one of my longest rant when it comes to a book. Again, I’m apologizing to the author for this bad review but I will never get back the time and money I have wasted because of this book. *English is not my mother tongue so bear with me.*

The reason why I enjoy the marriage in trouble trope is because of the angst, the fight to get back together, the grovel and the love between the two main characters. Everything I just mentioned I got in Second Chance Vow.
The story is fast paced and switches between the past and the present. Both worked for me. The story was predictable but it became such a minor issue because of the love Kinley and Christian had for one another. They met at fifteen years old and the bond they formed and how it evolved over twenty years was the reason why I enjoyed this story so much. Christian wanted to protect and show the inexperienced and broken Kinley everything in life was just precious and beautiful. Their life has been opposite when it comes to the parents they have and their upbringing. In the present time their marriage is falling apart and all the emotions that came with it was deep and intense. I felt the conflict was resolved too easily but that’s just because the angst and them fighting to keep it together individually and their marriage was so thrilling to read. I wanted more of that.
The side characters were great. I haven’t read Second Chance Contract and it didn’t affect my enjoyment. This book can easily be read as a stand-alone. I’m especially intrigued by Jax. His friendship and loyalty to Kinley was a highlight and I can’t wait to find out who’s going to be able to tame this man. I got my marriage in trouble fix satiated and it was so GOOD!
4 Always & Forever Stars

She did it once again. She ripped our hearts out and made us feel 𝑬𝑽𝑬𝑹𝒀𝑻𝑯𝑰𝑵𝑮. Christian and Kinley were as real as if they were standing right in front of you. They were alive and burrowed themselves in your heart until the very last page. These two came to live right before our eyes - the good and the bad, the ups and the downs, the love and the hate.
You felt everything with them. The heartache, the swoon, the anger, the love, the hope. They bled out into this story. It hurt so good. So real and raw. This story will resonate with SO many readers. It's just that relatable. It's real life done Monica's way and it was so good.
You might need tissues to have close by. It's not easy and it will be messy, but you might just see the bits of light and beauty in this one in a lifetime read!

This one didn't work for me. I loved Christian. Kinley, I didn't like for pretty much the entire book. She had some good moments, but they were really few and far between. I was able to pick up really fast why she wanted to leave, and honestly, it was super predictable. I'm realizing this won't work for me in a book. It just seems so immature. It also wasn't hard to figure out what was going to happen to actually get them to work things out. I mean I'm happy for them, but again, it was predictable.
But the biggest thing that didn't work for me was the constant back and forth between past and present. I get that we needed a background, but for me, the book needs to start in the past and graduate to the present and continue. That's just me though.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Naur I've learned my lesson. I should stick to my decision of staying far away from M. Robinson books. Better staying away than reading her books and giving them low ratings.
Most of the scenes and dialogues were cringy as fuck. Christian lowkey annoyed the fuck out of me, I never wanted to smack the back of someone's head so bad. The only good part from this whole book was the ‘now’ part where all Kinley and Christian did was fight, that was somewhat entertaining to read.
The man in the cover seems intellectually challenged. I don’t know if the intention was to look sexy, but he failed miserably. Whatever. This is definitely better than the other one I read from this author, where the hero was almost forty and talked with the language of a 13 yo who has just found out dirty words. There’s a marriage in crisis. A man and a woman who have been in love for 20 years, no shit! Wonderful love story, beautiful bodies, amazing careers and all. They can’t have babies though. And he’s an ob gyn. He’s been working himself to death lately and the heroine can’t let him ruin his life because she can’t have brats. They also are having therapy that is always a good thing but they seem unable to communicate and she is determined to have a divorce. The hero is one of the best heroes ever. He loved her forever, protected her forever and married her and cherished even when she was unhappy. He doesn’t want to divorce her because even if they are always quarreling she’s the only thing that matters for him. Sadly she goes on with her divorce idea and so, unhappy and crying and sad they get a divorce. I couldn’t stand this heroine who decided that he was better without her, even when he told her he wanted her forever. She didn’t let him decide for himself. Then it turns out she’s pregnant and so no divorce and happiness everyone. There are things to be explained. Her mother was an alcoholic and a bipolar, so she was taken by social workers and her mother was kept away from her, but when she graduated her mother came back and told her she was clean. The hero wasn’t very happy with this new situation because he knew the damages that the woman did to her daughter. For some time she was ok then she started drinking again and one night the heroine decided to drive her home because she was drunk and had an awful accident where she had her tubes damaged. The hero married her anyway but then he resented her and started working more and more. Or so he thinks. I think he only reacted to her obsessive and paranoid ways. I think that the heroine was guilty of all her misfortunes. - she decided to drive her crazy mother home when the woman was having one of her maniac moments. So she had the accident. The hero tried to stop her but she didn’t listen. -she never checked herself afterwards in what ? Ten years since the accident??? Really? While her husband was an ob??? - the matter of children. They could have had some therapy or else they could have adopted. I understand the importance of being a mother but there are other ways. And you married the man first of all, not a sperm donor. - turns out she could have had a minor surgery and all would have been well. And she made his life hell become they didn’t get pregnant. - when crazy mother comes back she accepts to see her again. Nope: the woman already did enough damage to her and her husband. The hero was truly in love and was strong and supporting . He deserved better. I wish all heroes would be like him. A man you can count during difficult times. The book was good, there’s some angst but eventually all will be well and I felt quite good reading it. Continuous slide between past and present aren’t my favorite thing but I understand that some of it was necessary to understand the dynamics of their relationship.
As the daughter of an alcoholic mother, I have to say what a fantastic job Robinson did portraying the roller coaster of emotions, the fear, the uncertainty, and so many more. It is the foundation of who you are, but it is shaky, and all you can do is hope you make it through intact.
Kinley had already been through a lot when she was placed with her aunt in sixth grade, and while it was a better situation, she still didn't get the unconditional love that every child deserves. She had spent her entire life building a steel wall around her heart, and all she knew about love was disappointment. In spite of all that she was incredible, she was sweet, clever, and sassy at times.
Christian was swooning in the midst of pain and alpha; he was living out his nightmare, and it seemed that no matter how hard he resisted, he was on his way to a shattered soul rather than a broken heart.
Christian's rage and bewilderment were evident, but the bond he shared with Kinley shone through on every page, bringing with it a barrage of emotions as these characters battled their past and present while their future may very well be imploding before their eyes.
Kinley and Christian were faced with so much, and I felt this story could very well be about real people. The raw gritty emotions that they felt, and the ups and downs they faced were situations that any of us could face.
Second Chance Vow was so much more than a rekindled romance. A seductive mix of scorching chemistry, a swoony alpha hero, a broken but remarkably strong heroine, raw heartbreaking angst, forgiveness and healing, love, so much love, and steam.
Second Chance Vow is the second book in the same world as Second Chance Contract but can be read as a compete standalone.
This is a marriage in crisis, second Chance romance, small town, family trauma with flashbacks.
Christian our hero loves his wife Kinley more than anything in the world. He is loving, protective and is blind sighted when his wife Kinley asks for a divorce.
Linley and Christian have been together since they were in high school. Kinley was only 15 when she first met him. We read that scene and some flashback scenes in order to get to know the couples history better. In this breakup, unlike some other Second Chance Romance novels, there is no misunderstanding or someone trying to plot to break them up. This was a straight up actual issue that the couple has been dealing with for years.
Christian at times seemed to blame Kinley for the huge elephant in the room that had a lot to do with their issues. Kinley felt she couldn’t keep arguing and putting each other through that so for her it was easier to throw in the towel. Christian doesn’t feel the same way and tells her that he’s willing to fight for her.
I know a lot of people love this book and felt a lot of emotions with it but I’m sorry to say I didn’t feel the same. I’m rating this a 4 star because it was well written and nothing was seemingly bad or wrong with it, it’s just that I didn’t feel any emotional connection or romance. It didn’t give me the feels.
For some reason I just couldn’t connect with the characters so rather than feel like I was inside of the book, I was reading it from an outside perspective and didn’t connect to it in any way.
Review by Lisa Kane Kinley and Christian have been together for 20 years. They were high school sweethearts, and eventually married. But their marriage is imploding and Kinley is buckling under the pressure. She wants a divorce so she can stop feeling the weight of the guilt on her shoulders that she is the reason their marriage is broken.
Christian is a successful (judging by the way he spends money, "successful" is a huge understatement) OB/GYN. He's the antithesis of the typical doctor-he's got tons of tattoos and he's quite the crude talker. Now I can understand the tats, but the way he speaks-I just can't picture that guy being successful in med school yet alone heading his own practice. But....that's what he does. Plastic surgeons, infertility docs, those physicians are usually bleeding money, but Christian somehow is able to buy a mansion, his wife a six figure car, and at one point, a yacht. Really? That seemed a bit extreme.
Let me get back to the story. Kinley is an English professor who had a horrible upbringing with her alcoholic mother. Her back story rips out the reader's heart as she was disappointed, humiliated and hungry for most of her childhood due to her mother's selfish addictions. But she rose above that, mostly with the help of her best friend Jax and when Christian entered her life at 15, he became her rock.
These two weathered multiple storms and in spite of all they have, they are missing an important piece that they both long for but lack. Now many couples have the same problem, I'm not sure why they didn't explore other options as they obviously have the means to afford alternatives that most couples can not afford. Kinley wants Christian's life to be complete and she thinks she is the roadblock to his happiness.
Christian has let his work and career take over his life and Kinley and his marriage have suffered for it, but he wants to change that. The question is-is it too late?
I didn't read the first book in this series, but I didn't feel lost as to the characters' histories. I have read some call this a heartbreaking book, but I think it was mildly angsty. Kinley created most of the drama herself instead of focusing on ways for them to have what they both wanted. Christian is a bit hard headed but he has good intentions. Jax story is next and I have to admit, he intrigues me.
SECOND CHANCE VOW by M. Robinson is the second instalment in a series of interconnected, contemporary, adult, erotic, romance story lines. This is English professor Kinley McKenzie-Troy, and OB/GYN Christian Troy’s story line. SECOND CHANCE VOW can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story line is revealed where necessary. Kinley and Christian were first introduced in book one SECOND CHANCE CONTRACT originally titled ALPHA CEO.
Told from dual first person perspectives (Kinley and Christian) using present day and memories from the past, SECOND CHANCE VOW follows in the wake of Kinley Troy demanding a divorce from Christian Troy, her husband and the man that she loves. Kinley and Troy have loved one another from the first time they met; high school sweethearts from opposite sides of the track Kinley and Troy’ s twenty year love affair has struggled for close to ten years following one devastating night that changed their lives forever. Kinley Troy hasn’t been happy for a very long time, and Christian hides his disappointment by working long hours, leaving his wife always alone but a surprise revelation pushes our couple back together, a revelation that had been a long time coming. What ensues is the rebuilding romance and relationship between Kinley and Christian, as the reader is up close and personal with twenty years of heartbreak, pain, betrayal and trust.
Kinley McKenzie’s earlier years were fraught with neglect and abuse, and our heroine found solace in Christian Troy but Kinley’s life long, best friend Jax Colton has always been a proverbial burr in our hero’s side, a burr that is always there for our story line heroine. Christian has never stopped loving the woman who had stolen his heart and his soul but years of disappointment and heart break have forced our couple in different directions.
The relationship between Christian and Kinley is one of second chances; a rebuilding romance in the wake of our heroine filing for divorce, and the revelations of what their future will hold. The $ex scenes are intimate, passionate and seductive.
We are reintroduced to Christian’s sister Autumn Troy-Locke, and his best friend and Autumn’s husband Julian Locke(Alpha CEO/Second Chance Contract), as well as Kinley’s best friend Jax Colton, Kinley’s mother Linda, and Christian’s parents Emma and Steven Troy.
SECOND CHANCE VOW is a story of heart break, pain, and grief; enabling and addiction; acceptance and love. The premise is emotional-the author does a wonderful job dragging out the suspense; the romance is captivating; the characters are desperate, lost and struggling.
This is the second book in the “Second Chance” series, but can totally be read a standalone. It comes as no surprise that it is indeed a second chance romance, but it’s unusual as it’s a married couple that is struggling in their marriage and trying to find a way back to each other. The pain of their separation is palpable.
This is told in dual POV with lots of flashbacks from the present to the different stages in their relationship. The love and devotion between Christian and Kinley was so amazing. They have the highest highs and the lowest lows. But the source of their conflict was definitely a surprise to me.
This is a roller coaster ride of young love, angry love and heartbreak. But the one thing you never question is that these two love each other, even when they are trying their best to move on. The spicy times in this book are off the charts, so we know there are no problems on that front!
This is a really emotional book. Especially so, if you’ve ever been in a relationship or marriage that’s gone through a rough patch. But you just care so much about these characters that you are willing to wade through the weeds with them.
I received an advance reader copy of this book from Wildfire Marketing and these are my honest opinions.
Wow! Second Chance Vow is absolutely AMAZING and so beautifully written. There are some very intense moments that seriously pulled at my heartstrings. Christian and Kinley’s story absolutely blew my mind and boy did these two put me through the wringer.
M. Robinson definitely put everything she had into this book and wrote it with such passion and soul. The storyline is realistic, relatable, raw and very emotional at times. The angst and roller coaster of emotions is definitely worth it and to date, Second Chance Vow is M. Robinson’s best work. Christian and Kinley’s story will linger in my heart and my mind for a while.
M. Robinson was determined to drown me in sweet angsty agony in Second Chance Vow. My heart was dying a thousand deaths and then the author healed it too. It was swoony, dirty, heartbreaking second chance romance perfection from the queen of angst. 200% real and raw feels in an epic love story.
Kinley and Christian has been soulmates since they understood the meaning of love. They have been married and madly in love for years. Now they have a affluent lifestyle and successful careers. Christian is a reputed OB GYN specialist and Kinley is a professor of English. But time and one big regret or emptiness has slowly destroyed them from inside. Kinley cannot fight anymore and Christian won't let her go. . In romance, we usually see the lovers struggling initially and then finishing with happily ever after. But M. Robinson changed the game. Here we begin with a couple in love and married but the life is breaking them apart. The angst was so extreme. I felt like the author is stabbing at my chest and twisting the knife till I was an emotional mess. And then she took us through their journey from the beginning. The dreamy explosive days of young love, the sweet burning desire and the delirious blissful days..and then the torture and heartbreak. I don't think the author could make it any more real or intense. Kinley has lost so much and she always lives in fear of losing Christian. Our girl is brave and stubborn and sweet and has the biggest heart that forgives over and over while getting hurt. She will do anything to make Christian happier..like breaking their hearts. And Christian..oh my goodness! He is really the most amazing book boyfriend! He put Kinley's broken pieces together for years and he put her happiness first always. He is c0cky, gorgeous, protective, over possessive and the best kind of alpha. Oh the author showed his pain and devastation so brutally and my heart was aching so badly for them. Love is the most important thing but its not always enough. They had to work through their resentment, bitterness, anger, frustration, pain and heartbreak those were accumulating over years. And yes love always wins but not before the walk through emotional hell! Kinley and Christian's passion was just too hot to handle. All the dirty talks and filthy moments! But their emotional connection was even more powerful and they had to survive! I almost cried with that final twist because it was just so beautiful and blissful! . If you are looking for a romance where the strong emotions will hit you like a tornado and you will feel the aftermath days later, Second Chance Vow by M. Robinson is definitely your next pick. . I reviewed an early copy voluntarily
Second Chance stars Second Chance Vow is the second book in the Second Chance Series by M. Robinson. This book starts a little different for a second chance book as we know and have heard parts of their story in the first book. I was hoping for this book to be just as great as the first book in the series but alas it wasn't. I will however go on and read the next book.
This is my first book by M.Robinson. I’ve seen her on TikTok and love her creative videos. We’re both going to be at an author event in Boston, so I thought - I need to read her stuff! I’m so glad I did. Loved this story of a marriage in trouble, it’s a very different take on a traditional romance and I’m here for it! Looking forward to reading more!
Second Chance Vow was a beautiful story, sad at times when you are reading about their pending divorce, joyful at other times, and a very emotional read. I loved how the story went from the past to the present, revealing everything this couple has gone through, all the good times and difficult times and how they affected their relationship. It felt raw and very real as this couple tried to find happiness again. I can't wait for Jax's story!
I enjoyed reading Second Chance Vow. Desperate to have my question answered, I read this book in almost one sitting.
Having already met Christian and Kinley in Second Chance Contract, I was delighted to have the opportunity to become more acquainted with them both. The author wrote this story to be enjoyed as a standalone, and I anticipate that you will go back to read Julian and Autumn’s story if you haven’t already done so. I absolutely love Christian and Kinley - they have fabulous personalities and huge hearts. I adore the connection that they share and was sad to see them having to deal with some difficulties in their lives. There is no doubting how much they love each other, which was wonderful to witness. They also have fantastic sexual chemistry that may leave you needing a cold shower or two.
This is a fast-paced story that I seemed to read quite quickly too. In my opinion this suited this particular storyline. I absolutely loved that the narrative switched from past to present times and was told using both Christian and Kinley’s POVs. I gained a greater understanding of the history that the couple shared and what led them to make the life changing decisions they were facing. My only grumble is that I found the storyline to be very much a constant throughout - I would have liked something more to it. I also found it to be a little predictable.
As expected, Julian and Autumn feature in this novel and it was fabulous to see how life was treating them since Second Chance Contract. We are introduced to Jax who is Kinley’s best friend and I cannot wait to read his story which is planned for a February 2022 release. Jax is a wonderful friend to Kinley. I loved not only witnessing the friendship between the pair but also the interactions between Jax and Christian. I’m excited to discover what Jax has been up to.
Second Chance Vow is a story about love, loss, anger, loyalty, acceptance, forgiveness and selflessness. It is an easy and enjoyable narrative to read and I award this novel 4 stars.
I kept seeing this book all over my Instagram feed with rec videos from the author, so I had to pick it up. I’m glad I did because I really enjoyed it. I devoured it in a day! It wasn’t like anything I’ve read before because it starts with them already together and getting a divorce. It was refreshing to read from a different perspective.
I really liked Christian and Kinley, it was obvious they loved each other despite planning on getting a divorce. But that fact is what put me off a little because it was so frustrating seeing them both argue and repeatedly say they don’t want a divorce but still go ahead with it…and then they get back together straight away when something happens which was causing them problems. Don’t get me wrong, I loved their happy ending but it just felt a bit sudden, like all their problems were suddenly gone.
Despite being somewhat frustrated at times, I really did enjoy this book and I’ll definitely read more from this author!
Our Queen of Angst is back with the most delicious butterflies inducing, tummy twisting story of a love that'll hurt yet melt your heart. 😍😍😍😍
OH MY GOODNESS... I'M FREAKING OUT. CHRISTIAN AND KINLEY. I CAN'T BELIEVE HOW ABSO-FREAKING-LUTELY GORGEOUS THEIR LOVE STORY IS BECAUSE EVEN AFTER BEING TOGETHER FOR YEARS, THE PAIN AND HURT THEY GO THROUGH AND YET COME BACK TRIUMPHANTLY INTO EACH OTHER'S ARM AGAIN. SIGH!!! 😻😻😻
Mind you, Ms. Robinson makes you work for that delightful togetherness though. We get to see Christian and Kinley today, breaking off, hurting themselves by hurting each other.
Then there is the past where we get to see how this two came together and how slowly became an inseparable part of other's lives.
I was so feeling frustrated and all the over the place over why a couple so in love would even want to part ways and the days leading to their separation will truly make your tummy hurt. I JUST WANTED TO SCREAM AT BOTH OF THEM. FREAKING JUST STOP AND GET TOGETHER.
And when all hope seemed lost and I was so hurting along with them. OH MY... I SO DIDN'T SEE THAT COMING. I WAS LIKE 😲😲😲. JUST LIKE CHRISTIAN AND KINLEY AND I DIDN'T KNOW HOW TO REACT.
AHH. Stories like this that make me work like heck and make the end so worth it because of the labour of emotions and feelings that I was tossed into, are definitely one of my absolute favorite ones.
ABSO-FREAKING-LUTELY HEART TOUCHING AND DELIGHTFUL. LOVED FREAKING LOVED THIS ONE. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
M. Robinson broke me from the opening pages, and she did not hold back. I loved every moment of Kinley and Christian’s journey. There really are no amount of words that can truly convey the feelings evoked from reading this phenomenal book. The author took me on an emotional journey from love to hate, anger and forgiveness and the sexy times. This is an all-consuming, unputdownable, heartbreakingly beautiful story; the authenticity and relatability of the characters is beyond riveting and makes this book a 10 star read.
Audiobook: M. Robinson grabbed my heart from the opening pages and didn't let it go. Sebastian York and Maxine Mitchell's performance was out of this world amazing. I was broken, I cried and I fell in love. Their story was narrated perfectly, with the right actors. I absolutely adore both Sebastian and Maxine's voice and I feel that they brought the story to a whole new light with their narrating. This story hit me in all the feels! I love it and it's worth listening to!
Kinley's standing in front of Christian demanding a divorce, a divorce from the love of her life. This will either be a turning point for the two, or the end of a great love. What happens now is up to them. Will they find their way back to each other? Or have there been too many years of disappointment and pain between them to overcome?
Ah the angst. It's the main theme of an M. Robinson story, and it's present in spades here in Christian and Kinley's story. I ended up liking it, liking both characters, definitely more so than their predecessor, Second Chance Contract, which is his sister and best friend's story. This second chance seamlessly weaves between the past and present, showing the start of their relationship when they were just kids, detailing the choices and behavior that led to their troubled marriage in the present. I was feeling for them both, wondering how the author planned on getting them back together, IF they were going to get back together. Troubled marriage stories can be tricky for me, but I'm really glad I read this one, because it's pretty great.

If you have read my reviews, you will know that I wasn't a huge fan of Alpha CEO / Second Chance Contract and the main guy.
Knowing that he was part of the MC's lives in Second Chance Vow, I was cautious and a little wary of if I was going to like this one.
Never fear, I did enjoy Second Chance Vow a heck of a lot than the other book, and the A-hole CEO is a lot better when he is in this one).
I liked that we had our lovelies together from the time they first met, rather than having to meet up again as adults.
I liked seeing them go through adult problems rather than teen angsty issues. I liked that we were seeing a couple struggling and heading for divorce. Whilst at times I felt their arguments were due to not talking and listening to each other, they felt real and heartbreaking.
Though I did feel like the tension between Christian and Kinley's best friend was childish and I wanted both of then to grow the eff up. Like, I got it as teenagers, but man as adults you looked ridiculous.
But there is a rainbow after all the storms they have endured, and it put a big smile on my face as I was reading. I just wish they had gotten there earlier! a>
If I could give this book 10+ stars on here. I would.
“𝑾𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒐𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓 𝒇𝒊𝒓𝒔𝒕 𝒐𝒇 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓𝒔 𝒄𝒂𝒏 𝑰 𝒉𝒂𝒗𝒆 𝒏𝒆𝒙𝒕?”
This has all the emotions you could think of. I swooned, I cried, I laughed, I gasped… I couldn’t put it down!
I loved that even though this book was based on Christian & Kinley, I loved how much we got to see Julian & Autumn throughout this book.
Christian & Kinley has been together since they were 15yrs old, while also being married for 10 years. They have hit a rough patch in their relationship & are in the process of signing divorce papers.
Christian doesn’t want to sign them, Kinley is insisting it’s for the best because she believes she isn’t enough for Christian anymore & he should have more than what he has currently. (No other way to really say it withour spoiling the plot..)
This book goes back & forth from ‘Then & Now’ Seeing how their relationship was while they were young teens, to how their marriage is now 10+ years later.
“𝑾𝒆 𝒘𝒆𝒓𝒆 𝒇𝒊𝒈𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒔 𝒐𝒇 𝒘𝒉𝒐 𝒘𝒆 𝒖𝒔𝒆𝒅 𝒕𝒐 𝒃𝒆.”
Christian & Kinley both grew up with very different childhoods/families. So there has always been things Christian doesn’t understand about Kinley.
There was one night that really changes everything about what they had dreamed their future together would be like… or so they thought!
Despite all the drama & heartache. The steam was EMACULATE. Dr. Troy really knows how to please his girl..🥵
If you loved Second Chance Contract, formerly known as ‘Alpha CEO’ this is the second, interconnected book to the series. Julian has a decent part in it, which I truly did love. Julian is my #1 man!
We also get to know Jax, who is Kinley’s bestfriend. I love him. The third book in this series will be based on him & I cannot wait for it!!!
Oooh this book made my heart hurt. We met Christian & Kinley in Second Chance Contract because Christian was Autumns brother and Julians best friend and for most of that book these high school sweethearts were literally couple goals, until the little cliffhanger ending. I loved the little insights and cameos we got from Julian and Autumn in this one too.
Second Chance Vow picks up where that left off and we finally got insight as to what imploded this seemingly rock solid couple. M. Robinson is totally the Queen of Angst and oh boy did she bring it with this book. We see both present day, and flashbacks fleshing out their relationship and it gives us a much clearer idea of the battles they’ve faced and grown with together.
Christian was just delicious, his love for Kinley was just so apparent everywhere.. he loved her hard. Total book boyfriend material. Kinley’s battles really were tough.. I felt so bad for her, but I also wanted to shake my phone and tell her to just stop and listen to Christian haha!
There wasn’t a whole load of steam in this one, but the scenes that were there were so hot and intense! Absolutely loved them. And of course, M.Robinson gave them the perfect ending to fix my poor bruised heart! Now when can I read the next one?!?
Second Chance Vow is the story of Christian and Kinley. They've been together since high school and their love is going strong. But years after high school they're currently signing their divorce papers. Christian doesn't want a divorce, but Kinley does. Christian will use all the time before the divorce to win her back because there's no way in hell he'll let her go.
I finally got to know Kinley and Christian and seen their relationship. After I read about them in Second Chance Contract, I couldn't wait to read their story. I couldn't help but feel bad for Kinley and her past. I love how Christian chose to love and care for her. Christian was a player turned boyfriend overnight from Kinley. Their type of relationship is what we hope for in high school. Kinley is that little girl waiting for her mother's love, and as much as she is a strong woman her weakness will be my mom. Not going to lie, but her mom pissed me off. After knowing what happened in the past, I couldn't help but feel remorse for Kinley and Christian. Second Chance Vow was truly heartbreaking. It shows the ups and downs of a marriage and how to work through it. The emotions in this book were so raw and real.
