Previously titled Bear Princess.

A king bound by disguise...
A princess bound by duty...
A hidden enemy poised to topple them both!

Damitru has been patient, waiting for years for the right time to claim his mate. The Princess Miahela thinks he’s a commoner, and now that she is being wed to the highest bidder, it forces Damitru’s hand. This wasn’t the way he wanted to do it—he’d wanted to woo her, to win her heart and have her choose him despite being ‘poor.’

But Miahela’s sense of duty is too strong - she’s willing to deny her heart to serve her country.

The time for chivalry is over.

Damitru will play his hand. Now is the time to reveal that Miahela’s humble suitor is really the king in the mountain - and he will allow no male to claim what is his.

Swept away to his mountain castle, Miahela must learn to rule over a wild, untamed Court. A hidden enemy lurks in the shadows, threatening not just Damitru’s crown, but their lives.

Bear King is a contemporary paranormal royalty romance for readers who love shifters, fairy tale retellings, royals and steamy fantasy romance. 2nd in the Royals of Casakraine series, this is a HEA fated mates standalone.

Emma is a Black/white Muslim American mom of five, ages 6-22, in her mid-forties just trying to live her best life…which usually includes coffee, wine, and an unfortunate habit of one-clicking any pretty special edition that winds up in her feed. (If you DM it, she will come.)

She likes K-pop (#army, #moa) cultivation dramas (Till the End of the Moon,) precioussss silence, and collects more makeup than she uses.

She bends knee to Michelle Sagara West, Anne Bishop, N.K. Jemisin, Grace Draven, J.D. Robb, and Nalini Singh—a nod to Sanderson, Goodkind, Eddings, McCaffrey, and McKinley.

If you are looking for romantic epic fantasy set in complex, diverse, sex positive worlds with morally gray societies, powerful anti-heroes with THAD energy, multi-racial heroines at least 35—if not 350—coming into power, and a central theme of family, both dysfunctional and supportive, then you will binge her stories..

I received this for a honest review. The authors are doing a great job with this series. Though it would help you know more about the characters in the book this can be a standalone.

Princess Mia has so much spirit. She has a small part of her mom in her. I think she understands her mom a little more before this book is over. She learns it is hard to be Queen. The last thing Mia wants is her brother to step down from being King. But since the council does not want to recognize Hannah as her brother’s wife and mate then he feels it necessary. I really do not like the council members in this series.

If Mia takes her mothers place then she is not free to love her true mate. The council would never approve of someone that is not royalty. She has been in love with him as long as she can remember. She can only hope he loves her too.

I loved Dami. He was so full of surprises. He was determined not to stand by and let another man/bear become Mia’s mate. She was his and he was staking claim on her. I loved the dominance he took over her. There was nothing going to stand in his way and he did not care what measures he took to have her. In all fairness he did warn her.

Mia learns that she does not know Dami like she thought she did. He has a secret. One that could change everything. Will it change her feelings of him?

There are a couple of characters I did not like in this book Aurelia and Dielric. Aurelia had feelings for Dami and I think she did not care what she had to do to get Mia out of her way. Dielric, well I think you need to read the book to see why I do not like him. Trust me when I say you will not like him either.

I liked Chan. He was would do anything to keep Mia safe. He was loyal to who he served and because he had loyalty to that person he had loyalty to Mia. I like Brigit as well. She was there when Mia needed her and help Mia through a very hard time.

This is the continuation of Bear Prince only this time; the main character is Andrei’s sister who’s in love with, what she thinks is a commoner. With Andrei abdicating his throne in favor of being happy with his mate, Mia is now put in a position where she must wed before becoming Queen because of an old law. This brings out men from several lands trying to become her husband and the commoner she’s in love with stepping forward as the king of a neighboring land. Mia goes though quite a bit in this story and you get to see the kind of person and Princess/Queen she will be. She encounters some very interesting people along the way also like Brigit and Chan. I enjoyed this story even more than Bear Prince! This story sets you up for the Queen Izobelle’s story, which is sure to be juicy! Hopefully, Hannah will have the baby in that story as well.

I think this series should definitely be read together. Each book can stand on its own, but not very well.

This installment deals with the fall out from the first book and throws the female protagonist from the skillet into the fire.

The plot was a good one, toughening up the Pretty Princess for a life of a Warrior Queen and the challenges she faced were fcking way more hardcore than the challenges Hannah faced in book 1. And Mia met those challenges in a phenomenal way and made me really admire her.

But I almost lost all love I had for Mia's Mate. I wanted to slap the sh*t out of him a couple of times and their issues with communications were never resolved. He's still on my LIST by the end.

I loved Mia. It was so easy to sympathize with her breaking heart as the duty she’d been raised to fulfill was rapidly stealing away her happiness. However, I greatly enjoyed watching her grow into her own personal power. Dami was kind of another story for me. I wasn’t a fan of all the secrets he keeps from Mia and I thought he left her woefully unprepared for Khai politics. I loved seeing him grovel for forgiveness though. And, the bloodthirsty parts of me think the villains of this book got away too lightly.
I received a complimentary copy of this book through Booksprout as part of the box set.

Bear Princess: by Emma Alisyn

Absolutely riveting paranormal read! Plenty of intrigue,a phenomenal plot, plenty of steamy actions. Very interesting paranormal story and great read, although it could use a little more editing. It was my best read in a very long time. I actually bought her next book which I have not done for a long time due to my Kindle Unlimited Membership. Congratulations Emma Alisyn! Great writing style!

He had met her covertly for years, she under the impression that he was a commoner, with the Kingdom of Khai, arriving each time their convoy changed. They recognized they were truemates, but her loyalty stopped her from consummating that bond.
Now, under pressure to find a husband, she was to be amazed at who he actually was.

Now Mia had to put up with her mother the bear queen being in raged. It was all the assembly's doing, her brother and his bear had mated a human and she was was having his baby. The assembly would not expect her has queen or the baby as heir. As if he would marry another just to please them after his bear had chosen there wouldn't be a baby with anyone but his mate! So he did what he had to he gave up being king and named his sister.
Poor Mia now has 60 days to find a mate. Sad thing is she has but he is someone the assambly and her mom will not permit. He is just a poor farmer but her bear picked him and even if she gave him up the assambly will still not get thier heir.
Oh boy are there some twist to this story lol! I love it, the plot, the characters. It's fantastic I can't wait for the next book. This series is awesome.
Book was gifted for an honest review and I honestly loved it.

Princess Mias mate is not what he seems This is book two and you get a little update on Hannah and Prince Andreis as they continue with the bigotry of Casakrainian. The real focus id on Andreis sister Princess Miahela, Mia for short. Mia grew up knowing who her mate was or do she thought. With all the trouble Andries has abdicated and gave up the thrown leaving Mia to be Queen upon her Queens death. Mia is morning the loss of a future with her mate, there is know way the council will let her marry a commoner. But when she tells her mate he becomes angry and leaves only to return and be announced as King Khaihalland. This is there story and trials. This is a excellent story that pulls on a full cast of characters leaving a full cast to interact with each other. I received this for free review.

Happily ever afters aren't always meant to be, but sometimes it just takes a while to get yours. I am completely on the side that everyone should get to marry for love and just because you are in line to be Queen doesn't mean you have to marry someone everyone else considers someone of proper station. Dami is one sly man though, especially not using his title from the beginning to woo Mia. You have to admit its the best when someone is only willing to play dirty when they are about to lose who they most love.

Even though its completely new and different world for Mia when she goes to see Dami's land I believe that its a nice difference. I loved the entire story and I'm especially happy with the ending.

Miahela

In my review of Book One, I referred to it as the appetizer for the main course. And while this book may well be all that, I'm thinking book three could hold that honor. Which will be a treat, because I loved this book. It features a strong female bear shifter raised to serve, attuned to politics,
and prepared to place the needs of the people above her own. So when
her older brother (Book One) abdicates as Heir to marry his human mate, Mia is thrown into the role as his successor. And all hope for her own happiness dies, because she met her mate ten years earlier and duty will not let her have him, a commoner. But Dami has been keeping secrets from her, including who he really is.

Given to me for an honest review. Bear Prince is the first in the series and both are standalones. I prefer to read books in order, but you can enjoy the Bear Princess not having read Bear Prince. Miahela (Mia) is the sister of Andrei, the Crown Prince, whose mate went back to the U.S. and Andrei followed her. The Queen wants them home. The Queen is not happy, but she is even more unhappy that the Prince has abdicated. The Queen now turns her eye to her second Heir. Being queen ruins all of her dreams. She has known her true mate since she was 16 and wants an ordinary life with her mate. How is she going to avoid selecting a mate that the Assembly has chosen? No one knows about her mate.

Miahela is a princess and she will soon become queen. Mia is in love with a man named Dami. The problem is that Dami is a commoner and would never be accepted as a ruler, even if he is the queens mate. Mia will soon find out that Dami is not an attache for his government, but is in fact a king. Mia will move to Dami's kingdom and find herself in a strange land with, to her, even stranger laws and customs. Fantastic book, I loved reading Mia's and Dami's story.

I received this ARC free from the author in exchange for an honest review.

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I was really excited to see Andreis' sister, Mia, get her own story, and I wasn't disappointed! I loved both Mia and Dami, and thought they were a great couple together. It was interesting seeing how they dealt with the cards fate dealt them, and there was just the right amount of mystery and action to keep you guessing what would happen next and how things would work out for them.

I can't wait to read the next book in the series.

A good story with a nice plot and interesting characters and settings - close to ruined by the narration style. There were words missing, sometimes I had the impression a whole sentence or even paragraph was omitted. To me, it seemed like the draft version was published instead of the nicely written full story, the changes in settings and conversations were way too erratic for my taste. So was the language at times - a female bear may be called a "sow", but in a story about shifters, I found that inappropriate.

Sorry, just did not do it for me.
I love shifter stories and saw this advertised for free.
I enjoyed the beginning if this book then it just lost me, I just could not get into it. I did not relate to them at all and had to force myself to finish it. I wasn't sure what time frame we were in, modern or old.
The storyline sounded really good but I just found some of the things that happened were silly.
Have not read book 1 and probably won't.

I'm not going to go and repeat what you can read in the synopsis of the book, what I am going to tell you is this book is great !! It has love and betrayal, pain and sexy sweet times. Princess Mia learns to trust her Bear and King realizes she's more than just a princess or Queen, she has what it takes to be his forever mate. 5 ☆'s for Emma Alisyn's story telling.

GoodRead,
This was a good story, although the Queen is a but, the princes is the complete opposite. Now she has to marry, to be the Queen. Will she marry for love or duty. Who in all the lands will get her hand. Will she go quality, for this and much more, grab your copy, and your favorite drink and turn the world off you don't want to miss anything. I received a free copy for an honest review.

To be or not to be Queen?

I could not wait to read about the fate Mia and Dami from the first book in the series. Mia and Dami are fated mates but the problem was that he had a secret that came to light when Mia had to choose a suitor. Dami was a King. Not a commoner like she thought.

I gave this book in the series a four star rating.

Mia is in a pickle. She is in love and knows who her mate is, but since she is now the newest heir because of her Brother lol she has to choose a mate from the one's the assembly has given her to choose. Will she follow her heart, or will she do what is right for the clan and marry just anybody for power?

Great bear stories

This is the second story in the series. It is about bear SHifter royalty and their mates. And of course politics with the council. Both stories were great and I high recommend them. I cannot wait until the next book comes out in,
March.

Enjoyed

I enjoyed reading about all the relationships and how they interact with each other and each situation. The results of the rapist is better than our judicial
system. I really like how the author weaves life topics. So, onto the next book.
