Welcome to the Order, a society of gentlemen who know when to stop behaving like one.

Addiction is hell. Love is worse.

Teodor Rey is a sinner. A rock star with a guitar in his hand and the world at his feet, Teo wants the one thing he cannot have: his harmony. The only woman who ever soothed the artist's tortured soul and satisfied the dark passions that rule him. The same woman he betrayed with a narcotic mistress. Teo conquered his addiction to drugs. Never his addiction to Eva.

Eva DelZotto is a freak. A runaway with a finger in the air and a pen in her hand, Eva finds solace in words. Secret poems about the desires of a misunderstood girl who the world refuses to love. Until a boy with a guitar steals her secrets and teaches her how to live them. The same boy who leaves her behind. The one who will always own her heart.

Judas is the savior of rock and roll. An explosive band with a bad boy reputation and bonds that run deep, Judas is on the way to international superstardom, yet their front man is far from satisfied. Teo resurrected the band's career, but without his muse, nothing can resurrect his soul. When the band takes a hiatus from touring in New York City, divergent paths cross again.

First love. Obsessive Love. Lost love. Can Teo and Eva regain what they lost? If so, at what price?

My name is Eva DelZotto and I'm a freak. Or so I've been told by everyone except the man who loves me, Teo Rey, my rock star. Harmony is our story. This is our song:

I walked a lonely road, my spirit crying for being
Then I turned around seeing
My reflection in kaleidoscope eyes
My soul exposed in words, her beautiful lies

So many things I didn't know answered by ugly voices
While I made the wrong choices
The mystery of my life: what is love?
How can the sinner in my heart rise above?

I wish I'd never left her alone in New York City
Sold my soul, pride to pity
And ran away from sacred love to hide
The narcotic mistress who'd become my bride

I can't remember all the empty promises I gave
Walking from cradle to grave
That kept me frozen in the bitter white
To blind me from the truth of her saving light

But passing time has a way of making spirits bolder
Or life just made me older
To give me strength to travel foreign ground
And forget the twists of fate that turned me round

Standing on the threshold, our restoration play begins
Doesn't matter where we've been
Our sin is washed away, the past undone
Taste redemption on my lips, our battle's won

Eclipse me with your fire, my sun, and bend me to your light
Burn me and bring me to life
Believe my vow, be the song in my soul
My truth, my muse, found in eyes of gray and gold

Before we were born something entwined our souls together
Our spirits bound forever
Feel that promise in my kiss, let it be
The only truth to guide us, my harmony

Only Jillian Verne could have pulled off this book. I expected to like it - I loved her other Masters of Order novels - but I’m not usually a fan of Rock Star romances or extensive flashbacks. This is totally the exception to the rule. Although it qualifies as glitterkink - it takes place in New York and Paris among the uber-wealthy - it is so much more. Eva and Teo broke my heart and made me smile, often within a few paragraphs. Moving between their teenage years and adult reunion, Jillian weaves a riveting story of two people struggling to love each other while growing up and getting past their demons. They fail, succeed, fail, and succeed again. Mix in a truly wretched villain (Edmund needs to meet a GRR Martin quality justice) and some of my favorite characters from the other books in the series (I really want Darion to get his own novel) and you have a holy wow, 5-star read.

Even Soul Mates Must Work To Achieve Harmony

An incredible story that has been beautifully written. It chronicles a young couple, destined to be together yet, tragically unprepared to cope with their own personal truths.
The complexities of youth, a lack of living skills, elusive desires and a yet undeveloped love of self, complicate their ability to identify the truths that are completely intertwined yet, as individual as snowflakes. A breathtaking journey of the evolution from self-loathing to self-discovery.
Harmony describes what an arduous struggle it can be to self-acceptance and finally, reveals the perfect beauty found when you realize that, because you love yourself, you can now properly love another.
This is my first read by Jillian Verne. And though I am out of order, it was a perfect place to start! 5 Stars as this will go on my TBRR shelf.
Ms. Verne has given us a lovely, yet tumultuous, insight into the human condition, highly complex characters and world building with significant substance. I thoroughly recommend Harmony as a standalone but will be reading the series from the beginning, as soon as possible. It would be a shame to miss out on such a talented, "Mastery" of the written word.

Spoiler Ahead This was a really good book. This was my first time reading this author's work. Teodor Rey is a sinner. A rock star with a guitar in his hand and the world at his feet. Teo wants the one thing he cannot have: the woman he calls his silent harmony. Eva DelZotto is a freak. A runaway with a finger in the air and a pen in her hand, Eva finds solace in words. Secret poems about pain and self-punishment and the submissive desires of a misunderstood girl who the world refuses to love. Until a boy with a guitar steals her secrets and teaches her how to live them. Teo meets Eva when she is 17 years old when she is taking a class at the church that his brother is a deacon at. I liked Eva right away she was spunky sassy and knew what she wanted. Teo is the hot arrogant sexy front man for his band but h has his demons he is a tortured soul he is at odds with his inner Dominant he craves doing things to Eva but feels it's wrong so he takes pills to try to shut it out. As his drug use gets worse he turns to heroin and he's off and leaves Eva behind. Four years later Eva finds herself in the hands of an abusive Dom Edmund, but she is hunted by the love for Teo who is now a international Rock Star now that he is clean. Teo is also hunted he has lost his muse so he sleeps with a lot of groupies to rid himself of his inner Dom. This was a really good book I loved how the author told the story in past and present times. I also liked how the men in the order came to Eva's aide when her Dom beat the crap out of her Darion who was training Teo to join the order and Jerard her friend who her former master let her play with. This was a really good book. I also like Teo's sister Isabella and her husband she was the one who forced Teo to clean up his act when the drugs got to bad and she was also looking for Eva so she and reunite her with Teo. The sex scenes in this book were hot especially the one at the club with Teo, Eva and Jerard. This book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling and even though this is book 4 in this series and I haven't read the other books in this series. I am looking forward to reading them. I hope that the author writes about Jerard, Isabella and her husband.

The books in this series just keep getting better and better. This is the story of Teo and Eva. They fall deeply, irrevocably in love with each other when she is only 17 and he is 19. She is homeless and he is a struggling musician. They are true soul mates, and they worship the ground each walks on, but ultimately that isn't enough. Life doesn't turn out easy for either of them. Teo gives up on his love for Eva, thinking he is doing what is best for her. He feels he is deep down evil with the things he wants to do to her, and he just won't believe her when she tells him she craves what he gives her. He finally leaves her behind and succumbs to addiction. He does manage to rehabilitate himself, but still stays away from Eva, even though he never gives up loving her. Poor Eva, left alone and heart broken, makes a bad choice and becomes a paid mistress/slave for a man who is a complete sadist. She agrees to a 4 year contract which is almost the death of her, both physically and emotionally. Cue the entrance of the other Masters of the Order. Some of them rescue Eva and slowly teach her to love herself again and regain her self esteem. Others have the job of getting Teo to finally understand he isn't evil inside, and his wants and desires are acceptable if done with love, control and a willing partner.

The writing is excellent, the feelings feel true and the story line is well told. This is an excellent addition to the Masters of the Order series. While it could be read alone, I highly recommend you begin with book 1 and continue on. Reading about all the Masters and their stories adds immensely to the enjoyment and understanding of the dynamics of all the characters in the book. Well done, Jillian

WOW just WOW!!! This book ripped me to shreds and then put me back together...twice. This was truly a beautiful book that had me feeling every emotion under the sun!

Teo and Eva are both lost souls struggling to accept their passions, desires and most importantly, themselves. Many people in their families have criticized and even punished them for darkest desires. Therefore, they spend the majority of the their adolescence and early adulthood filled with shame and self doubt.

Once The Order pushes full force into their lives they begin to accept themselves for who they are and embrace their wants and needs. This also gives us the opportunity to visit with old friends as Darion, Jerard, Nico, Sabin, Jacques and their ladies entrench themselves into the mission to save Teo and Eva from themselves.

The book flashes back from the present to the beginnings of their relationship. It allows us to see into the past and understand what is driving their actions in the present. Each flashback gives just enough to keep the reader wanting more and more of their story. That would explain why I read straight through the night and well into the morning! I literally could not put this book down.

This book and this series are absolute must reads for anyone who enjoys a deep and fulfilling romance!!

This was, in many ways, a hard book to read. It was dark because of the angst in both Teo and Eva. Two lives, one love torn by guilt, self loathing and lack of acceptance of their own true nature. Teo's reluctance to embrace his Dominance destroys his relationship with Eva and drives him to drugs. Eva's lack of self worth leads her to believe she is not deserving to be anthing more a whore. It takes a lot of work by members of the Order to finally retrain these fated lovers' thinking and actions to become their authentic selves.

*** Complimentary copy given by author for an honest review *** Thanks Jillian

I must say that this series gets better as the books roll out. IMO this has got to be the best written book but my favorite is still Godsend. This one has the sexy, musician Dom and new member of the Master of the Order - Teo 'Matador' Rey. He has been chasing his demons of addiction ever since meeting the sweet Eva DelZotto. Eva is smart, submissive and a poet but has yet to fully explore her potential for fear that she cannot find true love. These two had to find out what being in the 'dark' truly meant before realizing that love has it's own light at the end of the tunnel. Cannot wait to see what the Masters of the Order have next.
