I was in the mood for something different from what I normally read to kind of reboot my brain and this was perfect. Although our stories differ I can totally relate to being bullied all through school. My heart went out to Lenox.
Lenox has had a difficult life. She's scarred on part of her body due to an accident when she was younger. Her sister, Savannah has been the #1 person who has bullied her and made her life hell. Her best friend, Dean and her brother, Dalton always tried to protect her. Until the day Dean turned on her because he was dating Savannah. He's humiliated her, hurt her, used her, and so much more.
She keeps forgiving him until he marries her sister. They havent seen each other in 4 years so this holiday season is going to be interesting. There is a lot going on in this book. Its not just romance. There's mystery because people in Dean's life have disappeared and Lenox is connected too. Its an enjoyable read and keeps you on the edge of your seat. Not because of the mystery thing but just because you want things to work out for her.
There are some things I want to say. Lenox's Mom should be horsewhipped. She knew Savannah was bullying Lenox but did nothing for quite awhile. Her Father was oblivious and man I wanted to kick their butts. Not to mention I wanted to kick Dean's butt repeatedly for the things he did to her. All his promises to her and once Savannah gets back in the picture he sort of reverts which ticked me off. Not a lot but a little. Ultimately, things work out but man they really fought to get there. Another thing is....SPOILER AHEAD I know I said I didnt want to spoil this but I need to kinda mention it because some people might be bothered by it. Dean is still married to Savannah when he comes back BUT according to him they are getting divorced and have been separated for awhile. Lenox and Dean start an affair and him still technically being married I'm not okay with that. I got past it but just not my thing. Now at the end it changes my feelings because of what is revealed but again they didnt know it at the time they had their affair. So, it still bothered me a little. I'm anxious to read something about Kelsey...now she's an interesting character.

When Lenox finds out her sister and her brother n law are coming home for Christmas she was not going to have anything to do with them .When Dean comes to town without Savannah ,Lenox's life is about to change . He is on a mission to mend the rift between him and Lenox and mend their friendship . Or will the Christmas spirit help mend their hearts . And rekindle the love that they had for each other . But one thing for sure is Christmas is going to be one hell of a ride .
Ok I absolutely adored this story it is a fun Christmas read with a great second chance at romance. Lenox is such a sweet woman, she is one that is sweet but has a spine of steel . She is kind and loving but has been through so much in her life . She never let anything get her down but she is also hiding a secret that no one knows but her . So when she pushed she pushes back . Dean well he is sexy and has a heart as big as all get go but he has so much to make up for . He did Lenox wrong when they were younger and now that he is back he has so much to make up for . There are moments when he is just needing a good slap upside the head well because he is a typical man . We also get some insight from their friends and see how their family is . Savanah as you read through this book at first you kind of feel for her but as you read you really get a hate on for her . She is evil and I mean evil and you really just kind of want to punch her hard in the face .But she might redeem herself or not. s
This is a book that has so much going on . The author takes us on a fun filled ride that will have you laughing and crying . The characters are well written and complex, and you will cheer for Lenox all the way through out the book . This maybe a Christmas book but it also a second chance romance and a redemption story all rolled into one . I really like this authors writing style and her no nonsense approach to the characters . The only thing that stopped me from a 5 star was it seemed to drag just a tiny bit in some areas and a few other areas it seemed just a little rushed . Over all I did really enjoy this story and would love to see more from these characters . So this is one for your Christmas reading list , check it out you will not be disappointed .

Yeeaahh... this was definitely NOT for me. I read the book after believing the rating... my bad😒!
I don't like heroines waiting to be fed scraps of love and attention; and Lenox (h) was just that.
I hated that she begged the H to be her first kiss 🤢(even when he was dating her evil sister (ow)), gave her v-card to the undeserving H (he tells her to clean up and leave before his family comes back and to keep it a secret)🤮, and later on started an affair with him while he was waiting for a divorce from the ow. The last part of the book looked like a soap opera where the H pledges his undying love to her, her sister aka ow (who poured hot oil over her, scarring her when she was young coz she hated the h) patching up with her, and her family (her mom turned a blind eye to her sister's evilness) and friends cheering the H and h's union (you gotta be kidding me!!!) 🙄.

Oh my emotions!
Not going to lie, you look at the cover and read the title you think "Oh this looks like it might just be a cutsie little Christmas story". Yeah this story is the furthest thing from that.
Don't get me wrong, there is a HEA for Lennox. But man, having to read everything that Lennox was put through by her family, from Dean, from the people in her small town...It's amazing that she turned out to be as sweet and caring as she did.
Yeah she may put on a façade of having thick skin and having people convinced that nothing gets to her, but underneath is a woman who just wants to be loved. She wants to be loved by her family and even wants the only man to ever see her for who she is to love her as well. Goodness after everything her sister put her through growing up and even going so far as to do what she did to both Lennox and Dean, Lennox was still willing to go sit with Savannah in the hospital!!
If I had any kind of complaint about this book it's that I really wish we would've gotten to see Lennox and the parents after everything came out about Savannah. For them to be so oblivious as to what was happening underneath their own roof I kind of wanted to see how they dealt with that.

Lenox was one of those girls that were always teased and tormented all her life, no matter it be her sister, kids at school or strangers on the street. Not beautiful as a child, disfigured in an accident and no self-esteem, she lived her life knowing that she is loved by a good friend, her brother and the boy next door who she has known all her life. But when people are cruel and betray her, she refuses to let them see her cry, staying silent giving looks that could kill, but being alone breaks her down. I loved the story but at first hated that Lenox took all the crap that she did and thought that she was a wuss but as I read I found she loved deeply, long and forever. Her strength is amazing no matter what life throws at her. But when the love of her life comes back into it, she is going to be in another fight with herself about what she wants without hurting others, yet making herself #1 for the first time in her life.

I could not put this book down. It kept me up all night, I had to finish it. Lenox is an unreal character. The things she went through and is still sweet and nice and loving. You will cry when you read her story. Her family has been caught up in what would others think attitude, and her dad and brother with their head in the sand just made me mad!! Her mom needs to be… well I doubt I could say that here. They were described so good that you feel as if they are real. Dean – uggg what a weak man. His character should be all alpha yet he is not most of the time. He should have been a lead yet he was a follower. Finally, he found the strength to do what he should have done years ago. Now his mom and dad were great. So happy the author created them for this story.
This story had twists and turn that had you rethinking what you knew and what you thought the ending would be. The ending ! perfect. I for one am looking forward to the next book.

What a story! I never saw it playing out the way it did. V.J. Lee snuck that one in and it hit like a freight train. Lenox is a in her words orange hair and not the pretty kind, freckles orange again, and scars to boot. She doesn't see herself as pretty or even cute. Bullied most of her life even still as an adult. She carries scars no one sees. Dean he thought Lenox was beautiful she was his best friend right up to the point when he married her sister and moved away.. Lenox has moved on sort of. Now Dean is back for the first time and all sorts of things start to fly including the past. Then just when you have resigned yourself into thinking this is a happy ending romance you maybe wrong! Missing people, murder and mayhem saunters in leaving wondering how did I not see this?! This book is so full of action, thrills, romance, and enough steam to keep you coming back for more!

This story was not what I was expecting at all! I'm not gonna lie, I had mixed feelings for a while with Lenox and Dean. My heart was in a tug of war with my gut through parts of this book. But, when I hit the last 25% of this book, my jaw dropped and my emotions went crazy. The ending was fantastic!
I was VERY excited to see that Cosmo made an appearance in this book also. If you haven't read The Others Agency, you must so you can meet Cosmo!
I love how VJ Lee writes her stories very realistically. Her characters are in the here and now, just like they were your next door neighbors. Her story flowed well and everything was tied up in a neat little package by the end.
I do believe that Kels (the BFF and my favorite character) desperately needs her own story! **hint hint**

A Lenox Christmas has all the feels anyone could want. This story combines 2nd chance at love with mystery, suspense, murder, angst, jealousy and love. The author has taken us on an adrenaline filled rollercoaster ride that must be read until the very end to figure out who done it. Your main characters Lenox and Dean will pull at your heart strings and you so want everything to work out for them as they so deserve it. If you haven't read anything by V.J.Lee please consider this book as you will not be let down. The twists and turns in this story will keep you on edge. I really enjoyed this story and recommend it.

A Lenox Christmas is not your typical Christmas romance. Dean and Lenox's second chance romance is filled with plot twists, steamy sex scenes , suspense and a mystery regarding missing women. The characters are so well written triggering very strong emotions towards them. I found myself wanting to hug Lenox at times and admiring her strength at other times. There were several that I despised, especially as secrets are slowly revealed. A brilliantly crafted tale that I guarantee you won't be able to put down.

"Here's the thing... I've a bittersweet feeling about this story. I've nothing against bully romances and second chances but for some reason I didn't like Dean at all. Was it bad that I wanted Lex to end up with someone else? Lol don't hate me DJ wasn't that bad but the whole background mess was fishy and didn't seemed right for them to be together but ultimately it was nice. Not saying it was my favorite ending but I'm giving it 4 stars because the characters and the plot itself was good yet the H wasn't 5 stars."

This was a huge roller coaster of emotions, what looked like a sweet Christmas story was not what it was. Lenox has endured years of bullying and abuse from her family, school and community including the one person she has always loved, who married her sister. Dean has always had feelings for Lenox but ended up marrying her sister. But he is back for Christmas and declaring his love for her, can she trust him or is this just another cruel prank?

OMG this book!!! How many emotions it provokes. Lenox being bullied all of her life and keeping her heart beautiful, she is a true warrior. Her family? I deeply hated her sister and her mom and her father was oblivious to everything and anything. Dean??? I hated him and wouldn't have ever forgive him but.... He is a narcissist no matter what they say. His parents??? They were awesome!!!! This book will twist you inside out and then change it all and twist it again. I loved it and can't wait to read more from this author!

This is a great read. I was engaged from the beginning and could not put it down. This is a second chance romance with a lot of angst and every other emotion you can think of including wanting to punch a character or two. Lenox was always bullied by everyone except for Dean and her brother. Then Dean married her worse bullied and now he's back without his wife and he wants to mend all the wrongs he did.

I hope when it comes out on audible it has a narrator who can do it justice and bring all the emotions to life! 2nd chance love, murder, suspense, and oh the angst!! I was hooked from the start and everyone I thought I figured it out plot twist! I loved Lenox as she is so down to earth. Definitely recommend this one!

Love story and suspense
As I sit here writing this review in tears.. such a perfectly written story. A story that starts as a twisted Christmas love story, with a tiny bit of thriller entwined into it, turns into a steamy, erotic twist of murder and mayhem. Plot twists, steamy romance and family secrets. Even if romance books aren't at the top of your reading list, give this one a shot.

What a story!

Amazing
Wow. When you first start reading you think maybe love triangle, also second chance between Lenox and Dean. This book definitely pushes boundaries and then bam a plot twist no one sees. I was expecting a cute Christmas story people fall in love but it is so much more. Amazing story.

I didn't even read the blurb on this story. So I had no idea what I was going to be reading. I was not let down! I absolutely loved it. The danger, suspense, love, family. This story has it all. I loved Lenox and wish I could be more like her! What a outstandingly strong woman she is. And Dean...makes you want to punch him in the throat and love him too! A definite must read!

This story is a closet full of skeletons. Lenox's mother should have had a lot to answer for. Dean and Lenox have some issues to work through, between her trust issues, a police investigation, and a spiteful sister, they have their work cut out for them. I enjoyed Dean's speech to the bullies; and Savannah's call to Lenox.

Not your mother's Christmas story! Lenox has had a difficult life to say the least. But that doesn't stop her from being who she is. Her story is heartbreaking and shocking. Don't expect this to be a book that's always filled with happiness. It is one of the realist books I've read in a long time. Definitely worth reading!

This is a fantastic read! I love all the twists and suspense that came with this Christmas tale. Dean grew up in this story and I'm so glad he did. I love Lenox. She is the definition of strength and grace. Such an amazing Christmas story but so much more!

It kept me guessing
Wow. It's not normal for a romance to keep me guessing but several times I was certain the book was going one direction for it to make a sudden sharp turn I didn't see coming. I want a story for Kels, Dan and Dalton. Maybe even Calvin.

Interesting Read. At first I wasn't so sure about where the book was heading, didn't seem like my cup of tea. But I decided to keep going and I'm glad I did. There were twists and turns I did not see coming.

I will admit that it took me some time to get caught up in the love story of Dean and Lenox but once I did, I couldn’t stop reading. The struggles they had to get to their happy ending was worth every heartache along the way.

Most probably like it, just not me.
Considering that this is my very first time reading this author, I gave her 3 stars. Did I like the story? Not really. Why? That core of the story is good, I just didn't connect with or even truly like most of the main characters.

A great Christmas story by VJ Lee. It will grab your attention from page one and doesn't disappoint to the end. Looking forward to seeing some of the other characters in future stories. I especially enjoyed Kels, everyone needs a friend like that.

I had a blind date with a book for this book and I’m so glad I did this and got this book. Not only will i do another blind date with a book, I also will look up this author and read more of their books
