"Perché, oh, perché mi sentivo come se non avessi controllo intorno a Blair? Perché dicevo cose che non avrei dovuto? Perché la toccavo ad ogni opportunità? Perché l'avevo baciata? Mi fermai nel mezzo della mia tenda e mi passai una mano sul viso. Ruggine, dopo così tanto tempo, lei ancora mi scuoteva come nient'altro, come nessun altro. Era stata il mio mondo. Era stata il mio tutto. A quanto pare, lo era ancora."
Siamo giunti all'ultimo volume di questa magica serie, anche se nel complesso non sembra proprio l'epilogo, ma solo un altro capitolo (e in verità mi sento di dire che c'erano altre corti da sfruttare per altre storie). Qui abbiamo un bel second chance con quel tocco di angst che non guasta mai, un grande amore sfumato per le leggi di stato e la codardia (perché sì, il nostro Red ha il brutto vizio di darsi alla fuga ogni due per tre, cosa che vi farà desiderare di prenderlo a schiaffi, perché se si fermasse DUE SECONDI a parlare si sarebbe risolto tutto anni or sono). Se il nostro principe ribelle Red si fa amare per lo struggimento con cui segue la nostra principessa, e odiare altrettanto facilmente, ho invece apprezzato senza riserve Blair, una donna coraggiosa, altruista, pronta a fare qualunque cosa per il suo regno, in qualunque ruolo la vita la porti (forse se si fosse concentrata meno sulla politica e più sulla sua vita privata non avrebbe passato anni di rimpianto mi sento di dire). Mi è piaciuto anche il fratello di Red, ottimo il suo colpo di scena, e bello rivedere i vari personaggi dei precedenti volumi riuniti per la battaglia (perché pare si incontrino solo in quei momenti XD che poi non si può proprio definire una battaglia epica...). Avrei voluto sapere cosa dicesse la famosa lettera, qualche flashback sul passato dei nostri protagonisti e un epilogo più inclusivo per i vari personaggi. Piccola nota, in un paio di capitoli pare che l'editing si sia preso una vacanza rimpiazzato da google translate al peggio della sua forma (e casualmente proprio durante le scene spicy XD).

I love the world building in these stories and Red and Blair had me hooked. The chemistry sizzles and I fell for the world and the suspense this story brings. Even though I haven't read all the previous stories, this can stand alone but it did leave me wanting to read the others.

Totally entertaining and fun! Love magical Fae adventures and steamy sweet romance! Cool, interesting Fae world and exciting action; good danger and suspense. Both main characters, Red and Blair, are likable and they have great chemistry. Enjoyed the whole story!

The apparently final instalment of the Wyth Courts series by Juliana Haygert is confusingly, both the best-written book of them all, but I still couldn't care much about the characters.
The author definitely took turns to tone down the misogynistic message in the first few instalments and gave us a female main character who knows her place and is capable of standing on level terms with the men (surprise surprise!). That said, Redlen, the main male character, is not very interesting, continuing the protective-to-the-point-of-possessive trope that followed all the men in this series without much in the way of a personality, and the idea of seasonal-related magic runs into a dead-end with the Fall inspiration, which recycles a few ideas from the Winter and Spring chapters.
Still not highly recommended, but at least the characters, while not incredibly interesting, aren't as problematic as before.

When Redlen, the rebel prince of the Autumn court, is called back home, more surprises are waiting for him than he could expect. With his brother, the crown prince, being dead, war with the Sea elves approaching, and the love of his life playing a vital part at the court, Red will have to face all his fears and collect the courage to defeat all obstacles and claim what's his.
A fast-paced tale from the beautiful and deadly world of the fae courts, enhanced by a steamy romance between Blair and Red. I enjoyed the way the two were dancing around each other while doing the best they could for their people, their court. There were some points regarding the story building that I did not fully get (eg the chance to get a cure was there from the beginning, and many more lives could have been saved in the war - if the rulers were as good leaders as the rest of their actions suggest, they would have definitely thought about this solution earlier), but all in all it was a nice and easy read.

As always, an okay read with kind of awkward writing and poor editing. The story was enjoyable and the characters likable, but it was kind of predictable what was going to happen. And the story just felt rushed through, no development in the characters or the world. I’ve read four books about Wyth now and still have very little idea of its makeup aside from brief mentions. Still, quick books seem to be trending these days, so I’m sure there are plenty of readers out there who will enjoy these. And I can admit to being overly fussy about terrible editing because it’s impossible to turn off Writer Brain, so I tend to notice every little gaff that other readers might overlook.
I’d say give the Wyth series a try. If you enjoy spicy fantasy romance books starring broody fae men and their love interests, and aren’t expecting the next literary masterpiece, these will probably be a perfectly enjoyable read for you.

I love Blair. She’s ready to defend her kingdom even when she’s hurt. Redlen runs from his family problems. He’s a fox shifter. We never find out why the sea elves are trying to take over the Autumn court. Maybe they just like that season better than where they come from? There’s some angst between Blair and Red, but not much. They are too busy defending the court and helping those that are sick. I still don’t understand how the crown prince didn’t die. That’s a plot hole. Love that we see the other characters from the other books. Highly recommend reading this series in order. This is the last one, but there are still other courts like the day court, night court, etc., so I’m curious if the author will continue the series later.

autumn rebel by Juliana haygert. This was my last favourite of this series. Yes the world-building is outstanding and the plot is worth it but I just didn't connect with these characters as much as the previous ones.

This omnibus has been a wild ride for sure. This last book had the most interesting plot of all of them. I stayed up late last night to finish this.

Another hit for me. The pace was yet again nice and easy in this book. I was able to sit and read it from start to finish with minimal interruptions.
I enjoyed both characters in this book. Redlen (Red) had left his kingdom because he lost the girl he loved to his brother from unfortunate circumstances.
(I am trying not to give too much spoilers, yet trying to give a good review 😊)
Blaire was in my opinion a bad 🍑 as Fae. She didn't want to sit on the sidelines and just be another pretty face. She was strong-willed, yet hurt that Red left her without saying goodbye.
How can the two Fae's reunite without a fallout from the kingdom? Can they both betray Lugh or can they find away?

A part of me was going to rate this three stars due to the fact that it was easy for me to put down and I wasn’t always rushing to pick it back up. SPOIL ALERT-
Anyways, the beginning captured my attention! I was sitting on pins and needles for the first part of the story until things kind of slowed down, even though it didn’t really. I enjoyed bouncing between Blair and Red’s point of views, sometimes I didn’t when a certain chapter ended on a cliffhanger. But that’s what keeps you hooked, right? Their romance trope was “the one that got away” and though I enjoyed it I wasn’t fully swept away by it. However, those moments where they lost control over themselves, whoa, this girl needed a fan to cool herself off!
Overall I haven’t read many fae books and this honestly made me want to read more because of the world building. Even though you don’t need to read the previous books in this series, as it’s a standalone series, this book definitely makes me want to pick up the others! Especially since at the end I believe they brought up a lot of characters from the other books and it made me feel like I’ve missed something even though I didn’t.
