The story begins with Todd, the ex and Piper and I didn't like it much but then Damian is introduced, which make things interesting. I was initially confused as how would Piper and Damian meet but it happened.
I liked the plot but there were certain portions I just couldn't digest but otherwise is was a decent quick read.

After reading the first chapter I did not think that I was going to like the book/story. Piper’s conversation with Todd - her boyfriend at the time - was lacking any real “reason” type of information and it seemed unlikely that she would be the girlfriend of that type of guy. Not even opposites attract type of situation because it was obvious that she would not be a “taken for granted” type of person. I felt as if her personality was being portrayed in 2 different ways and I couldn’t decide who she was.
Then Damian is introduced! Damian’s introduction was great. I felt as if I got a good idea of his character right away. It worries me a little that I didn’t find anything wrong with my view of him when I found out that he was a hit-man. The writing of his thoughts about not having a woman and not having been with a woman in a period of time was great.
Piper was snatched and tossed into a car, passed off to a stranger, taken onto a boat, and given information about her situation. Information she took and started considering what she needed to do to make it happen. All this happened to a woman without her screaming, yelling, kicking, alerting the public and just plain freaking out. Although this was beyond ridiculous, I was still interested enough in the story to continue reading, hoping it felt like I could make sense out of the rationale.
Okay, chapters 7 and 8 were torture to me…the conversation these two had were mind-blowing - just terrible to me. I have no problem with dark romances, but a lot of the treatment and words exchanged was not warranted. He had literally, just met her. She clearly was doing what he asked and what he wanted, but he spent ½ the chapter telling how he was going to regulate her every move by force.
It was somewhat nice to see how Damian’s and Piper’s relationship started to grow and become genuine for them. Damian telling Piper about himself somewhat and obviously developing feelings for her. The friendship with Fiona made for some good reading at times.
I thought of many things I liked about the book/story, but not enough to really like it. I’m 100% sure that its due to my element of taste as it relates to dark romance, mafia type stories.

Damian: (Dark Mafia Kingpins Book 3) by Naomi West is another dark mafia romance story by this author that is filled with danger, violence, chaos and plenty of passion. Damian is a hitman for the Santiago Crime family but finds he has to take more work on to pay off a debt he owes his boss Carlos. When Carlos's stepson Todd Baker who Damian does not trust or likes, gives him a job a job to do, he will be thrown into a situation that will set the course of intrigue, danger and plenty of steamy moments between him and Piper when at first they meet. In order for Damian to complete the hit, he learns he has to have a fake wife to take on the cruise to kill Rich Chamberlain ordered by Todd and sanctioned by Carlos. But Damian is conflicted by this job as the hit on Chamberlain doesn't make sense to him. Piper is feeling uneasy with her boyfriend Todd and decides to end things with him, once she see his violent side she flees and goes to stay with a friend. Now Piper finds herself taken, bound and gagged by Todd and given to a brooding, dangerous sexy man and told she will be posing as his wife. Piper had no idea what Todd was capable of as he has shown her his true character. Once at their destination Piper finds she is frightened and scared for her life as she is given over to Damian. Right from the start the interaction between these two will take off as Damian can see a submissive side to Piper and he will now use this to his advantage to keep her under his control. Piper finds she has no will power with her interaction with Damian as he is bringing up desires she has always craved. Will this fake marriage end up becoming more? Will Damian ever be free from the Santiago crime family and what is Todd hoping to accomplish? Will the overwhelming chemistry between Damian and Piper end up with a complication that will have Damian willing to die to protect Piper. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book. This is a must read.

If you love fast paced books that draw you in and keep you engaged this series, the Dark Mafia Kingpins series, is for you. Although all fast-paced and standalone books, I recommend reading in order to get the most enjoyment. The story is about Damian. He’s a hitman for the Santiago Crime family. After certain events, he has to take more work on to pay off a debt he owes his boss Carlos. Damian does not get along with Carlos's stepson, Todd but Todd gives Damian a job a job so even though he doesn’t trust him he needs the money. Damian finds out he has to have a fake wife to do the hit and that’s where Piper comes in. He needs a fake wife to take on a cruise where he is going to kill Rich Chamberlain - the hit was ordered by ordered by Todd and sanctioned by Carlos. But Damian is conflicted by this job as the hit on Chamberlain doesn't make sense to him. Piper, it turns out was Todd’s girlfriend and recently ended things with him, once she see his violent side she flees and goes to stay with a friend. Piper is kidnapped, taken, bound and gagged by Todd and given to a brooding, dangerous sexy man and told she will be posing as his wife. Piper had no idea what Todd was capable of especially his violent side. Once they read her their destination she is frightened and scared for her life as she is given over to Damian.

This is another wonderful book in this series They are all filled with dark passion and dangerous deeds but that is what you expect from a Mafia based book and this one is no exception It draws you in from the first page and keeps you until the last page

Piper is the girlfriend of Todd but after seeing his violent side she wants nothing to do with him but he won't allow he to walk away in fact he has her kidnapped and gives her to Damian to play the part of his fake wife. Damian is now conflicted not only is he not sure about the hit on Chamberlain but he is falling for his fake wife and wanting to make it real. Things really escalate when he discovers Piper is pregnant can he find a way to extract them without getting them all killed You will have to read to see

Piper ends her relationship with Todd and is terrified over how he reacts. So she goes to stay with a friend yet when she goes to leave she is snatched and thrown in a van. She is forced to change clothes in front of her ex as he delivers her to a man she's never seen before. Damian thought he was getting a pro for this job but its looks like Piper was grabbed off the street. He takes her because he needs to finish the job. Piper is scared but she'll do whatever she needs to in order to survive. Damian is a rough man but even that doesn't stop her from wanting him. Will Damian finish his job? What will it mean for Piper?
This is a great story once I started it I couldn't put it down. The chemistry between them is steamy hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

A cruise she will never forget
Damian is the third book in the Dark Mafia Kingpins series and is the story of Damian and Piper. This story is intriguing, fast-paced and have me questioning things along the way. Once again Naomi West has given us a story-line and characters that are wonderfully woven together with action, mystery, suspense, danger, kidnapping, a Mafia crime family, a hitman, an innocent woman who go involved with the wrong man and a lot more. The book is well written, the story-line is solid and the characters are well developed, even as they are scary there is more going on.

Amazing writing, a dark page turner riddled with suspense, betrayals, kidnapping, secrets, lies and unexpected twists and turns. The plot and storyline flows smoothly and the characters are well developed and easy to relate too.
Damian is a hitman for the Santiago family and his latest job is to take out a man Chamberlain, but the hit doesn't make sense to him. To make this hit, Damian need a wife and Santiago's son Todd kidnaps, bound, gag, threatened and forced his ex Piper to be Damian's wife for the job. The HEA at the end of the book for Piper and Damian is well deserved and very sweet. I loved the book, excited to read the next book by this author.

This is a different love story about a contract assassin and a young woman who gets caught up in his con for his latest job.
Damian is a complex character. He has an underlying aggressive and violent nature, but he can be gentle and considerate.
Piper is a simple young woman who is attracted to his violence, especially in bed.
I enjoyed this story, which is part mystery and part love story - the two lovers as well as father and daughter.
I recommend this book.

Assassin Damien is expecting a beautiful though hard woman when he is told he is getting a fake wife to cover his story for his current hit. He isn't expecting sweet, scared Piper who made the supreme mistake of breaking up with her jerk boyfriend. Now she cooped up on a yacht with a hot, brutal, the sex is slammin, hit man. The best she can expect is to make it out of this alive with her heart intact.

What a fabulous read. This book has everything a good mafia bad boy book needs. Plenty of everything. Excellent characters and Damian and Piper are so hot together. As with any mafia story you can expect intrigue, action, violence, betrayal and of course plenty of passion in between. Will they stay together after the cruise finishes? A very well written and exciting read.

Damian the Hitman is paying off a debt to the mob! But he's ready for it to be done, he's more than paid off what he owes, but when he gets a call for another hit, he's there. He's receives his "Wife" from Todd the Dons stepson. Expecting a hooker he's surprised to find a beautiful young lady, interesting! Piper was kidnapped by her ex fiancée and forced to play a long. What should have been an easy job turned into a very tangled web. I liked this story a lot, certainly wasn't boring!

Love, love, love! this book. It’s book number 3 in the Dark Mafia Kingpins, and it’s kind of fast paced, but you get the hang of it. The story altogether is phenomenal. I enjoyed the characters a lot. I enjoyed the story. The danger, drama, violence, etc. It all has your heart racing when you’re really into it. I recommend this series so far!

An exceptional book three in the Dark Mafia Kingpins series, a fast pace page turner that will keep you engaged from start to finish! The story line is well-developed, emotionally deep, and well written with action, twists and turns, drama, danger, suspense, ups and downs, drama, secrets, strong characters, off the charts chemistry, and more. Definitely recommended!

Killer Book
This book has a great story line. An assassin and an innocent thrown together on a cruise. He has motives, and a strong attraction to her. HEA is in the cards for them in the end. My only complaint is the author thanks you for reading “ Andre” when I just finished “Damien”. So there’s another book out there to read? Gotta check it out. I also have lingering questions about what happened to other characters in this book. I hope there’s a sequel….

Dumbed her Ex, then kidnapped
Damian is on a job and meeting, what turned out to be her stupid ex, using Piper to get revenge for dumping him, Damian was not happy because she was not a professional, she was an innocent but he had to make they best of the situation. Damion was t very kind and layer down some ground rules so they would both survive. Surprising it has a happy ending.

Yes Damian!! Naomi hit it out of the park with this third installment to the Dark Mafia Kingpins series. Damian is my absolute favorite. I couldn't get enough of him. This book is filled with so much thrills, you won't be able to put it down. I cannot wait for the next book.

Book 3 in this awesome series is a fabulous read. The main characters have amazing chemistry together despite not wanting to be together at the start. It’s a wonderful dark Mafia romance that is a must read from this author who is one of my go to author’s.

I good read. Action packed and the characters were fleshed out pretty well. Storyline drug on in a few places but kept me reading in others. An overall good read, I’m glad I found this book!
