In this volume, we finally come to the climax of the slow-burn romance that was literally burning through the pages (No out intended).
Furthermore, I have now fully understood the rationale behind the mature genre tag. This story is not intended for those with a faint heart, as it delves into uncharted depths. Prepare yourself to be caught up by the intertwined journeys of both Sehun and Yooshin, as they navigate a complex web of emotions.

"With you, it's not that I won't. It's that I can't."
While I found the previous volume a little lacking in the romance department - though there was a whole lot of tension! - this next volume was really satisfying on that front. What I appreciate about the novels compared to the manhwa, despite the manhwa being a very faithful adaptation, is that you actually get to read about what goes on inside Sehun's head and you get to understand why he acts or talks the way he does. It adds a lot more depth to his character and he doesn't come across as asshole-y as he does in the manhwa.
That's why I found Sehun to be the highlight of this volume. It's surprising that, for all of his ruthlessness and callousness when it comes to work, he becomes a very different man when it concerns romance. I won't spoil much more, but a good number of his interactions with Yoonshin in this volume are very tender!
The language of the translation is still very stilted, which is the biggest reason why I'm docking a star from my rating. I took a glimpse of the Tappytoon translation of the novel and I believe that it uses much more natural prose - so if you're not particular about owning a "forever copy" of the novel via eBook purchase, then purchasing and reading the novel via Tappytoon's serialization model might provide a better reading experience.
Next volume should be the last one for the main story. I'm excited to see how the external conflict with Yoonshin's sister gets resolved, and to see how much more devoted to each other our couple can become.

I loved this volume! We learn more about Sehun, the plot moves forward quite a bit, and Yoonshin and Sehun's relationship continues to grow. While I loved the story, the translation is still not great and there are quite a few typos. Still not enough to keep me from reading, but the stilted dialogue makes the bedroom scenes a little more awkward than they should be.

Life is so unfair? I want a Yoonshin my life. Confident and genuine about his emotions, and mature enough to recognize someone's scars and inquire about it without prying and to take the first step because he knows Sehun is not. Yoonshin, solid 11/10. No wonder his blind date immediately said she wants to marry him. I want to marry him.
One complaint: the author when they want to talk about the tone keeps saying "frequency" and it is slowly getting very annoying.

The novel itself was great, but the difference in the quality of the translation by Word Excerpt between the first and second volumes was really disappointing. Not only did it switch over to period novel-esque language out of nowhere, but it also lacked basic editing. The novel deserved a better translation.

The legal parlance is interesting and Sehun is definitely less vicious as the story progresses.
