The Boys Who Loved Me

A lifelong friendship that became a rivalry. Three gorgeous specters of my past, hellbent on winning me back. Who knew coming home could be so deliciously complicated?

When the funeral of a childhood friend brings Kayla back to North Glade, she's forced to face the very reasons she left. And when three sizzling exes reveal they still harbor feelings for her? The men come up with a very unique way of determining who gets their shot.

There's Warren... her first in every way. Whiskey brown eyes. A lady-killing smile and a roguishly handsome face, set upon shoulders to die for.

Then there's Luke, tall, blonde and perfect. Warren's best friend... at least up until he and Kayla shared that smoldering hot summer together, just after their breakup.

Finally there's Adrian, the brooding tattooed god. Thick black hair with mountains of muscle; a friend with benefits so raw and savage Kayla could never hope to resist - nor would she ever want to.

Choosing between them becomes an impossibility... until a very unorthodox solution presents itself. One that leaves Kayla breathless and filled with butterflies, while fulfilling every last one of her far-flung fantasies.

But North Glade still harbors its own share of mysteries, as outside forces begin aligning against their tight-knit little group. Will Kayla stay long enough for one of her suitors to win her heart? Or will a more unconventional arrangement present itself... one where she gets to eat her cake and have it too?

THE BOYS WHO LOVED ME is a sweltering, stand-alone reverse harem love story filled with suspense, humor, new adult romance, and enough molten hot action to melt your kindle (author not responsible for molten kindles). HEA guaranteed!

Look, it wasn't awful or anything; it just wasn't very great. I found Kayla to be far too sweet, and I didn't really like any of the guys. The best part of the book is Adrian's father.
The characters were 27 but they still acted like 17 year olds. And it annoyed me that Kayla kept refering to the others as boys, because they are clearly men. She could have used "guys" instead, if she didn't want to use men, but boys just doesn't work for their age.

In less than an hour of listening she already had sex with two of her exes. Only a day has passed since she he came back to her home town for her friend's funeral... Isn't she at least a bit sad? I'm not going to wait for the third guy... It is way too hard for me to like the heroine.

I liked this story. It has loss, love, courage and forgiveness. Miss Wolf did an outstanding job with regards to her character development and world building. It flows nicely and has a remarkable plot. I liked to say that all is well that ends well, but you have to get through heartache and a bit of insecurity,. This book is well thought put with the author taking us on a journey where you know its not all roses. A nice story to have on your shelf! I would definitely like to read more from this author!

Kayla is back home for a friend’s funeral and is forced to confront the very reasons she left. Her exes, Warren, Luke and Adrian. Which one will she choose or will another option show itself? Fast-paced reverse harem read with loads of drama, suspense and emotion. Great characters, with lots of depth, sizzling chemistry and an entertaining story. I liked it.

Elizabeth's death was a turning point in their lives!
by sewsummore

Kayla returned to her hometown for the first time in seven years for the funeral of her best friend, Elizabeth. So much had changed over the years, but she was looking forward to meeting Warren and Luke, both her former lovers who had also been friends with Elizabeth. Warren looked the same, only better, the years fell away, and she was in his arms again. He had been her high school sweetheart and her first until they broke up shortly after school ended. Luke met her the next morning, and the memories of their time came rushing back. Since Luke and Warren had been mates, they had tried to keep their relationship a secret, making up for all the times the chemistry had been there, but never acted on. When Warren found out, he went crazy, and their years of friendship ended that day. They both left town at the end of that summer, and it was Adrian who was there to pick up the pieces when her parents died together in an accident. Three men she still had strong feelings for, despite the passage of time, three men who were beside her when they said their final goodbyes to Elizabeth, their childhood and teenage friend. That night, it was as if the past had all been forgotten, four of them mourning the passing of their friend. They moved to her hotel unit from the wake, and the men celebrated life by making love to Kayla. The alcohol may have played a part, but the love they had for each other and the friendships they had in the past made it right. The next morning over breakfast, they asked her to stay and choose one of them, something she could never do! Their story does not end there. It was just the beginning. However, you will.have to read the book to discover what more life has in store for Kayla and her lovers!. This was a beautifully poignant story..of friendship and love. The love Kayla shared with the three men was beautiful to read about. What the future held for them all was inspiring and rewarding? As children, Kayla and Elizabeth had grown up together, best mates and friends. Elizabeth's death was a turning point in all their lives, and I find myself fortunate to have read their story.

I received this book with the understanding that I could leave a voluntary and honest review.

In this book we meet Kayla, Adrian, Luke, and Warren. When Kayla comes back for her friends funeral she meets up with each of her ex's at different times. Each of them mean to show her what they had was real and they want her back in their lives again. Her leaving wasn't just to see life past their small town it had to do with the men in her life fighting because of her. She just couldn't do it and so she ran away. The thing is while back she reflects with each of them men of how her last moments were with her friend that has just died. She wonders if she could have done more with her and for her. She wonders the same with each of the guys. What happens when the guys quit working against one another to get her back and start working together? Will this be a HEA or are there more secrets that could possibly drive them apart?

Another hit out of the park by this author. It does have its ups and downs I really want to tell you about. However I don't want to ruin it for any other readers. I will say this book will have you hooked from the first word to the very end. I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.

This was a 3.5 star read for me. A shared tragedy brought Kayla, Warren, Luke & Adrian back together in their hometown. Warren was her high school sweetheart, when that went south she saw Luke for a while till he left. Then she and Adrian had a friend with benefits thing going till she eventually left town to escape her tragic past and to pursue her dreams.

The story is told mainly from Kayla’s POV and the guys get about 2 chapters a piece, despite that we were able to learn about the guys and what happened to have them lose touch with each other.

Where things get a bit wobbly for me is the rest of the plot. There are some mysterious and property-damaging things happening to the guys at their automotive garage that don’t make a lot of sense, there is a plotline that involved Adrian’s dad that is a bit murky. Plus the tragedy that brought them back together seemed to not be as relevant as the story progressed and it was quickly pushed out the door.

I will however say thank you to the author for not having Kayla call herself demeaning names when she embraces her sexuality and has fun with the guys independently and as a foursome.

So if you are looking to see if you can have your cake and eat it too, come and check out Kayla’s world with her 3 guys.

I liked this story, but at the same time, I think Krista Wolf should've added a backstory that the readers could've physically read and experienced along with the characters, instead of just being told of what happened years ago. There was a disconnect there, at least for me.

And the fact that they immediately jumped into bed together after being apart for so long less that two days after the FMC comes back to her hometown was a little ridiculous to me.

And, I can't believe I'm saying this, but there was TOO much sex in this book. I get the guys all had amazing chemistry with the girl, but it felt like they had sex instead of talking about their emotions and feelings in depth. This part of the story made this foursome feel more surface level, not like they couldn't live without each other.

I skimmed the last 25% of the book, because the FMC decided she wanted to be with all three men and there was still a good chunk of the book left (like 100 pages or something) and I just wanted to move on to the next book.

I still absolutely LOVE Krista Wolf and will continue to read her books, but this one just didn't hit the mark for me, unfortunately.

Hopefully it will next time though.

Some things just make you realize what is important in you life

There is nothing like a friends death to put your life into perspective and cut through all the crud to get to the good stuff. This is what happens for Kayla when she comes back home to attend a friends funeral. There she crosses paths with three men who she has shared a past with only maybe that past is not so far in behind them all. There is Warren, her high school boyfriend and first in all ways. Then came Luke, Warren's best friend who she was with after Warren broke-up with her. Lastly there is Adrian, who she was with after Warren and Luke left town. Each man wants Kayla back again and they do not hide this fact, either from her or from each other. AS she cannot choose a new dynamic is formed which involves them all, no worries as there is no MM in this story.
If you love RH romance with a lot of heat then Krista Wolf is definitely an author that you need to read. She can develop a story, add nicely written characters and weave it all together in a well written book.

Oh wow, this book is soooo flat. No conflict whatsoever. Everything is just so easy.

(SPOILERS AHEAD)
Kayla arrives in the city and boom, she hooks up with all three individually one after the other, a few hours apart without knowing that the guys are OK with it. Warren and Luke fought when they were younger, then boom, they are best friends and now partners. Adrian was previously a one night stand then boom, it became love. Kayla was supposed to choose, then boom, the boys were suddenly ok with her not choosing. Kayla was supposed to leave, then boom, changed her mind. Even with the rift with Payne Jr, boom, suddenly disappears because Adrian's father just had a drink with the Dad. Everything just came along too easily in the story.

And also, Kayla was fucking 3 men as soon as she arrives in town without mention of condoms, questions on being clean or on protection. Helloooo STD! And since she didn't know the guys were ok with sharing her, she was basically cheating with them. I may have missed out on the heroine's internal struggle/thoughts on what is happening. But I don't think so.

This book is fantastic! The story of Kayla, Warren, Luke and Adrian, childhood friends who have all returned to their hometown for a friend's funeral. Kayla had a relationship with all of them at one time and it caused a rift between Warren and Luke. She returns home to find that not only have Warrena and Luke made peace, but they are business partners. Adrian has also returned home and all three guys get another chance to be with Kayla. Soon she will learn the truth, that they all still have feelings for her and wanted another shot at having her back. Things will get better between the four of them while it will get worse for Warren and Luke's business as it is vandalized several times. When it's time for Kayla to head back to California, they beg her to stay and make her an offer that in the end, she can't refuse. They want to share her. She agrees and things just keep getting better for the four of them.

Second chances of the hearts
The Boys Who Loved Me by Krista Wolf is a very well written, exciting and entertaining reverse harem romance. Kayla, Warren, Luke and Adrian are a diverse group who clearly have an abundance of love between them that generates a deep connection between them all - from chemistry to the hearts to life.
The plot is exciting from all perspectives creating interesting backgrounds for these characters independently and as a group. There’s more than enough going on, in addition to the steamy group scenes to keep the reader continuously engaged in this story and the characters themselves. These characters share so much history, emotional depth and meaningful connection in this second chance, making this reverse harem romance well rounded.
Overall, a well written reverse harem with fantastic characters exploring a unique and thrilling second chance. The HEA is pretty spectacular as well!

A girls dream

This was an interesting story. It is reasonably entertaining with a little drama. Unfortunately the intimate scenes seem to be nearly nonstop. If you like lots of sex and very little emotional connection to the characters well it will be fabulous. I kinda wanted more of the guys' point of view during the many many sex scenes so that the reader can connect to each of the three guys, and more of the friendship the three guys share so you know why they really are happy to share a girlfriend. It's kind of slow at first because she is meeting the guys separately, I think I would have liked to have a chapter at the start where the three guys planned to all go for forever with the same girl... so that in the story the reader understands when Adrian is feeling guilty when he meets her, and why Luke drops her off after spending time at the Lake... I really think it would have made the story much better, that's why I only gave it 4 stars. The story itself is pretty good.

Loved this reverse harem, loved, loved, loved it. Couldn’t put it down. There were ups and downs, laughter and tears. The plot was phenomenal and well executed in the writing. The characters grew over the course of the plot and by the end, their happiness was well received. There were a lot of naughty, naughty scenes; which I thank the author for. The story does start off on a sadder note but by the end you are cheered up; also wondering where you can sign up for one of the men.

I give this a five out of five. I couldn’t put the book down, of course I had to but I was very eager to get back to it when I was done with whatever I had been doing. The plot was sound and the characters were great. I know I’ll be reading this again in the future and will definitely be reading more works by this author.

When a group of friends meet up again at a friend's funeral feelings from the past resurface and are explored. Kayla had a relationship with each of the guys. She was with Warren in high school and when they broke up she was with his best friend, Luke. When Luke and Warren left town, each going their separate way, she was with Adrian. Kayla had loved each of the guys and they all loved her in the past and each of them still loved her. It seemed natural that she would be with each of them again and would then be with all of them at the same time. Their shared and individual histories made the story believable. Knowing this is a reverse harem story, it is no surprise there is a lot of steamy sex. I felt that perhaps if there was one less get together, it would have been more impactful. Before the epilogue the sex scenes were getting boring. Other than that, the story had loss, closure, forgiveness connection and lots of love.

I received an ARC from the author thru Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving my review. This is the story of how four friends, Kayla, Warren, Adrian and Luke, find love again. Kayla has returned to her hometown for a friends funeral. Kayla has a history with each of these men and their connections are still there. Each of them give her something different that she needs in her life. She fills the hearts of Warren, Adrian and Luke with love again. This story was very steamy by it has a lot of emotions tied to that heat. These four quickly realize that they can make this work because you do not pass up on a love that strong. I enjoyed this story and the characters were great. I always read the books Krista writes, but this one has to be one of the best of her rh stories. If this is your type of genre, do not pass it up

Our heroine returns to her hometown after a long time away, only to find some things never change. If she couldn't choose between our heroes then, what would make her think she could do so now?

This is a contemporary reverse harem romance involving multiple partners. The story is very well written, with an easy to follow plot. The characters well developed and have nice distinct personalities that keeps the interactions fun and unique. This one has a bit of intrigue mixed up in it which brings out the best in each of our characters. I really enjoyed watching them pull together as a group. We also get plenty of steamy scenes in multiple combinations (no M/M activities) which provides lots of variety, all of which leads up to a nice HEA. Overall, I found it to be an engaging and enjoyable read.

Highly recommended.

This full length book was just okay. Having Kayla jump right into bed with all three of her ex lovers within two days of returning home just proved that she didn't learn anything in the past ten years. I also really wish if an author was going to include repeated comments about a certain character having a restraining order against them that they would address why that is somewhere in the book.

After almost a decade Kayla has arrived back in North Glade for a friend's funeral just to find all three of her ex's also are there. As the four deal with the sad loss of one of their best friends, Kayla will have to come to terms with the damage she did in dating all three guys and the rift it tore in their friendships. But now, regardless of their behavior, we are to believe the four are older and wiser, and they have come up with a mature way to handle things. Or will it only drive a bigger wedge in their relationships?

Kayla returns to her hometown of North Glade after a prolonged absence for a funeral of her high school best friend, from who she had become estranged. She meets her high school love Warren the night she arrives. She meets Luke, her post Warren summer boyfriend the next morning when she returns to her childhood home. She runs into Adrian at a bar that evening. She and Adrian had a mutually satisfying sexual relationship before Kayla left town but after Luke and Warren went away to college. Warren, Adrian and Luke all desire to renew their relationship with Kayla, but Kayla is planning to return to her job in California as a surf shop manager. Can they renew and redefine their relationship with Kayla? Can you go home again?

I loved reading this hot reverse harem by Krista Wolf, one of my favourite authors from this genre, I am always pleasantly surprised by each new release and if I do not start reading the book early enough in the day, usually a bit sleep deprived. The Boys Who Loved Me is a fantastic story filled with drama, suspense, mending fences, second chance romance, sizzling hot sexy scenes, friendship, romance, love, polyamorous relationship and all culminating in a happy ever after. A well written story, interesting unique brilliantly developed characters with amazingly strong chemistry and a scintillating storyline in which I was fully enthralled. Definitely looking forward to reading the next scorching reverse harem by Krista Wolf.

Wow. Just wow! What a read! You hear reversed harem and you instantly have a film in your head. Don’t say anything that could be used against you now! You know it’s true! And this read will add a little bit more to your film... anyway, it’s a lot more than that. It’s the story of four lives. From childhood over High school cliché boyfriend/girlfriend to broken trust and friends becoming enemies, good girl, bad boy liaison and loss. So much loss. Loss of perspective, future, life.
But also hope. Hope of love, a family, a new future...
Even if there is a lot happening it’s clearly written in Mrs Wolfs unmistakable style and sometimes you even might have a good laugh (in between your red cheeks ).
I do recommend to read it in bed.. anyway, I did.

I volunteered to read this ARC for an honest review. I enjoyed this story about Kayla, Warren, Luke and Adrian. They were all friends growing up. Warren and Kayla dated in high school but when they broke up she dated his bff Luke. Unfortunately the guys fought and went away for school leaving her at home. When her parents passed away she depended on Adrian and developed a friend's with benefits. She left town and now she's back for Elizabeth's funeral. She reconnects with all the guys and soon discovers her feelings haven't changed and neither have theirs. They give the crazy sharing relationship a try and it works for them. While building their relationship they are also dealing with running a business, having it broke into and a father coming home from prison. Great HEA.

This book has a great storyline with some great characters who meet again 7 years later. Kayla comes home for her once best friends funeral. She ends up meeting each of the boys she had a relationship with. They have all grown and they find themselves wanting to get back with Kayla. Warren, Luke and Adrian have grown up. They want another chance for her to pick which one to stay with. I love that she can't pick just one as they all bring something special to her life and their relationship. She wants them all. Can they make that work between all four of them? Are they all bound to lose each other when it comes time for her to leave? Will she decide to stay and give all of them a chance? Kayla is back in town for her friend's funeral when she runs into her exs' and old feelings resurface. Luke, Adrian and Warren all want Kayla but they aren't sure if she feels the same. Some things have change between them but the sparks are still there. Kayla wanted to see what was beyond the town and didn't want to be the one causing the guys to fight. So she left them and everything behind. But she wonders if she made a mistake by leaving. Will her being back give them all a second chance to do things right?

This is an amazing story that once I started it I couldn't put it down. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

I have to say I really enjoyed this Reverse Harmen Romance. There wasn't a part in the book where I was bored or nothing. Definitely worth reading.

Little bit about the book:

Kayla was back home for her friend's funeral. She couldn't believe she was gone. She also saw her ex boyfriend from high school Warren. She still felt for him what she did back then. Then she saw Luke and had her moment with him also. Then she saw her friend with benefits Adrian that she had after both the other two left her and it was only the two of them left. Then she had to get out of town and she left too. She finally realized she wanted them all and why should she have to choose. So check it out to read about all the sexy scenes they are extremely hot.
