Take a historical and visual tour through ghost towns in North America. Full of nostalgic and desolate contemporary photographs that capture the essence of many of these places, you'll find out what happens when once bustling businesses and thriving villages reach the end of their lifespan.
This book features selected ghost towns from around the country. There are numerous color photographs and some historical black and white photographs with lots of interesting details. The print quality is very good.
The book is only 6.8" x 6.9", which is rather small. When I purchased the book on Amazon, I was expecting it to be a large format photo book, which it is not.
Another interesting note is that the author, Gary Speck, did not take many of the photographs in the book. They are almost all stock photos. There is nothing wrong with this, but I would expect most of the photographs to be taken by the author.
The book covers ghost towns throughout the country, so as a consequence there is not much detail on each ghost town, compared to other books I have read on ghost towns.
