The show business world at its cruelest. The story takes the reader behind the curtains, where things are just not as bright and shimmering as on the stage. Dickie Roi is a star, with plenty of admirers. For the world he is that amazing singer, but his private life is full of deceit, drugs and crazy fans. At some point I really felt sorry for him, because clearly he was not ready for all that.
