A delightful book of interesting short poetic tales and musings reflecting the keen observations and expressions of the author's sensitive mind. Personal experiences, wisdom and images add to its beauty.

Wondered about some questions like the following-
What lies beyond the zenith?
How to deal with those broken moments and scars?
What's there in roses?
Who is life's epitome?
This book has the answers!

Fantastic collection of poems which makes you ponder about “life” and transports you away from life’s nuances. The book itself is very well packaged aesthetically, with beautiful pictures perfectly capturing the Various poems . Look forward to more from you Ellora!

Impressive book indeed. The poet aptly beaded her conceptualized thoughts and feelings into fine streaks. Amidst Corona one can lost into the beautiful stanzas of Time and Friends Forever. Round of applause.

Philosophical and artistic, the verses linger like the petrichor!

Dots & Streaks by Ellora Mishra can be called an artist's delight. Being a poet and having an artistic temperament, the book delighted me not only with the verses but also the photographs that the author has incorporated in the book. Dots & Streaks is a bouquet of fragrant poems, photographs, and prose pieces.

The book starts with the profound poem "Time" that is so beautiful that I read it thrice. Have you ever felt like pausing time so that your loved ones can stay with you forever? I am sure all of us have, at some point in our lives. And this poem captures those feelings effortlessly.

The poet has composed many poems keeping the current situation of Lockdown and Covid-19 in mind. Apocalypse, Quintessential, and Social Distancing compel you to think about the present scenario from various perspectives.

The strength of the poet is compelling the readers to think about various aspects of life. "Ego of the Candle" is one of the best poems in this collection. It is a dialogue between the candle flame and the candlestick (both basking in their pride) before the last moment when they hold on to each other. The poem teaches us that only cooperation and not competition can give us peace in life.

Highly recommended to lovers of poetry and philosophy!

One of the many things that ‘Dots and Streaks’ makes us realise is to enjoy each and every moment of life as they are amid the hurly-burly way of living. Blissful feelings assured after one goes through it.

True to its claim in the blurb that these are short poetic tales of life’s musings, the poems are full of such ruminations. The author has also tried to experiment with various forms of poetry. Streak means a long, thin line or mark of a different substance or colour from its surroundings. Geometrically speaking a dot does not have any physical existence. It is just a point of reference. Poetry by its very nature tries to capture the elusive elements of life. In fact the intricate and elusive elements of of life which are felt but can never be precisely expressed are best expressed in poetry. Ellora’s poems provide us the insights without themselves being too elusive to our understanding.

Each poem in this book connects with an untouched emotion in your life. Its so beautifully written that reading it is like a breath of fresh air. Whether its the verse on the essence of time & memories or about just crossing that bridge of life, this book has something for everyone. Open any page and its a new feeling waiting to be discovered. Haven't come across anything so diverse yet so complete in a long time. The poems don't take you to a new place like most writings, they take you back to your own world. Beautiful collection. A must read !

Beautiful collection of poems. Reading through these has evoked varied feelings - of happiness, joy, longing, life, time, kinship and many others. The author has put in words what all of us have felt at one point or another. Longing for the past, looking to the future, of finding oneself, of relationships, of youth, of perception - all things life.
Loved it from start to finish! Look forward to more from this author :)

Ever thought of reading something that would take you to several places at the same time? If the answer is yes, then you must check out Ellora Mishra’s Dots and Streaks. What I loved about the book?

What I loved about the book?

Without using too many words or explanations, Ellora paints scenes, settings and situations through her poems. Her words transport the reader to exactly where she wants them to be. Ellora is the puppeteer, and the reader turns into an audience that thoroughly enjoys the journey full of surprises.

The poetess has taken time to savour life’s small & big incidents through each poem. Friendship, memories, love, experience of life through the eyes of inanimate objects, she has leafed through them all.

So, while scrolling through this ebook, one is eagerly waiting to read the story/incident/experience/thought the next poem will unfold.

Parents who want their kids to increase their vocabulary or polish their writing skills, must make their children read this collection of poems.

I loved this book a lot, it has a lot of freestyle poems. Poems that describe our day to days situations, what is going on in the world, around us, within us. You will get to read them all.

My favourite poem is the one where the feelings of a maid and her madam are being described, they are both at their respective homes during the COVID lockdown, in the dilemma of how the days will progress in the not so normal situation.

A must-read.
