Build a tribe. Kill monsters. Bed beautiful women. Become a master. After passing through a portal, test pilot Jack Hawthorne finds himself in the mysterious land of Agraria. It has everything in abundance – beautiful women, plentiful resources, and more than a few things that want to kill him. Now Jack must build his own tribe from the ground up if he wants to have a chance at surviving – and begin working towards the creation of his very own empire. Warning: Tribe Master involves adult situations, including explicit sexuality, slicing and dicing bad guys and monsters, explicit language and difficult choices. If that doesn’t sound like your kind of thing, steer clear.
This was a fun read and an interesting story. I liked the characters and the way the plot progressed from start to finish. Good action that kept me reading all the way through. Looking forward to the next book.
Another reviewer said there were few grammatical errors. I hope I never see what that reviewer thinks it's a lot of grammatical errors, because this book is full of them. The author has no clue how to use a comma. The author uses ' to signify speech instead of quotes. The author also regularly includes ' for no particular reason I could find. The author has no clue when to use I or me in a sentence. Add in missing words and single letters where the author started to type a word but only got the first letter, and you have a grammatical nightmare.
The three main females are near duplicates of one another who needed one glance to "love" the MC and his large member.
The city building is simplistic so that a 12 year old could handle it.
The author is obviously not an American and like most other author who try to write Americans and are actually from the UK, this American speaks like he is British.
This book is not worth the price or time to read it, even using Kindle unlimited.
So I would have rated this book a solid 4 or 4.5 if there had not been so many grammatical errors and a lack of knowledge/ use of right words (ex: when you ride horses your foot goes in the stirrups, not the reins). The story is good and I actually like the MC. I hope the author does a bit more fact checking/study next time. That being said if the author puts out another in this series I will give serious thought to getting it.
This story has potential, but it fails to really reach any. Jack is a decent character, but everything he accomplished in this book was through pure luck.
Luck is the name of the game, and that wouldn't be so bad if Jack was proactive and smart, but he's not. Every time he decided to do something throughout the story, I wanted to scream at how stupid it was.
The first thing he does is become indebted to a shady goblin to save a random girl. With a 50% daily interest rate, I fully expected him to be indebted for a while. But he got lucky and managed to sell his infintly spawning corn for just enough to pay it off the next day. Of course, the price plummets soon after, and it's explained that it was a temporary price spike.
The second girl he meets while trying to learn magic. Of course, she just happens to suggest he help her hunt down a guy who had an orb he needs to be able to learn magic (which he didn't know he needed).
The same pattern continues all the way through to the climax, where a newly recruited tribe member has a schematic for a tool to save them.
The romance is shallow and completely unearned, too. The first girl (the slave he freed) I can kind of understand, but the second girl wanted a man who could tame (dominate) her. Considering there's no way in hell Jack could ever hope to dominate her unless she let's him, their relationship makes no sense. The last girl is just rushed into the relationship.
The tribe building aspect also falls flat since Jack literally only does the bare minimum. No innovation or attempts to be self-sufficient. He only got there through luck in finding capable people.
As a side note, the way the upgrading and game like mechanics work makes no sense. They require gold coins, but there's no centralized government, so where do all the gold coins come from? Nor is there a built-in shop to the interface, so how are isolated tribes supposed to earn gold coins?
If you are looking for one of those boring dime dozen novels about a beta male disguised as a hero, you're in luck. Stupid MC that wind anyway, oh ya. Confusing misogyny for chivalry, you bet. A weird mashup of puritan conservative values in a setting where the MC gets to bend the rules while maintaining his white knight status? You betcha. I feel like it's just a team of sheltered middle aged men pumping out dozens of these books under different names. They are all the same cringe dialogue, the same white knight beta MC hero, the same lifeless female characters, the same adolescent humor... It's so annoying having to sit through these to find anything decent in the genre
Not a bad first book. Lots of gamelit elements, and a MC from our society... So why can't he recognize why so many functions of his new world are exactly like video games? Want to build a house? Collect so many units of wood, gold and iron; press build and it magically appears. Then the MC wonders how strange that is... I think my 6 year old would just accept that the new world works like a video game without a second thought.
This book has a lot of grammar and spelling errors, the characters are flat and the writing is very immature and bad. So much if the story is told rather than shown. Plot development is predictable, the female characters are all the same, and just overall I get the sense that the author wrote this book very fast. This is one of those books that claims to have a strong MC and awesome hot women - but the characters are not. The author says they are but he never develops them to be that. It’s a lame book and no one should spend money on it.
The story was pretty good and I enjoyed the characters in the book. The pacing was good and I enjoyed the growth of the settlement as the story unfolds. The MC was good but needs to be fleshed out more in the following books. The ladies are starting to be interesting as they are actually pretty strong in their own way. Overall I enjoyed it.
2.5 to 3 stars, it was okay at times. It was really standard for this type of book tho and nothing to write home about. Nothing new....
***** I re-read this by mistake the other day and I found it a little better then I original was thinking, still not a 4 but happier with a 3 or 3.5 star. Oh and little more excited about the next book after finishing the first one again...
Properly written, minimal "pleasantries" and an actual basis for the story to grow and mature. I wanted to find out why the technology works like that. I must have missed it or it wasn't said.
**Quick Note:** I'm not an author and have zero clue what goes into actually writing a book—this is just my honest take as a reader.
**Solid 3 Stars**
So I listened to this on audiobook first, which means I completely missed all those grammatical errors other people are complaining about. Lucky me, I guess?
I'll keep going with the series because I'm curious where it goes, but honestly? I doubt I'll ever circle back to reread this one.
The MC doesn't really struggle much throughout the book, which made things feel a little easy for him. That said, his reactions to getting yeeted into this new world felt pretty realistic, so props for that.
The world-building is hands down the best part—that's what kept me hooked. There are graphic sex scenes sprinkled in, but it's not overwhelming or anything.
The female characters had a decent amount of personality, but here's my main gripe: the MC got THREE wives way too fast for how short this first book was. Like sir, slow down maybe? The pacing felt super rushed on that front.
**My Rating System:** - 5 stars: Exceptional, life-changing, or will reread multiple times - 4 stars: Highly enjoyable, likely to reread, would recommend - 3 stars: Decent read, might not remember long-term - 2 stars: Not for me, struggled to finish - 1 star: Poorly written or factually incorrect
**Bottom Line:** 3 out of 5 stars. It's an enjoyable read, and I'd definitely recommend it to fans of the harem fantasy genre.
Alternate universe, magic, LitRPG base-building, fantasy races, harem adult situations
No surprises, but engaging nonetheless. Cover is an approximation, though. There's a fox girl, a purple-haired huntress, and a redhead. Instead of leathers, two wear wolf fur bikinis. Very much a game world, however. Instant building upgrades. There's bathing, but no soap. And while animals excrete faeces, the sentient denizens do not. And no one bats an eye with drinking milk from canteens, then refilling with water without washing dishes. Indeed, washing dishes is basically rinsing them in water. But wounds are real and if untreated, fester within hours. And crops, depending on what they are, regrow overnight or over a few days, and reseed automatically.
Have purchased book 2.
Average editing. Mostly punctuation with dialogue, but a few usage errors as well, but well within acceptable limits.
MC from earth in a world of magic struggles to sdapt to new environment. He must fight off predators, both human and beasts to create an outpost with the help of his vassals, some of which join his harem. I dont personally care for the magic system where characters pay and add raw materials to craft or build items through an interface (totem), but its at least consistent with similar stories. Also, the timeframe for crafting and growing crops doesnt feel right to me, but these are personal preferences. Cultivation stories using mana make more sense to me.
Let me start off by saying I wasn't sure about this series because of the ratings. But I took a chance and purchased it and I'm so glad I did. This book was awesome, I will be reading all of the other ones after this It kept me entertained from beginning to end. It wasn't overbearing with the sex scenes even though the ones it had was quite entertaining if I must say. I am glad I purchased this book and Never judge a rating by other people take a chance and see for yourself
This storyline has the most game elements. The monster segment was very good! I could gave done without the recreational drug use. This added nothing to the story except for a weak excuse for group sex... With women as hot as they are supposed to be he wanted drugs in the scenario?
The hero needs to win a fight on his own once in a while, it's great to have capable companions, but how many times do they have to pull his fat from the fryer? It got old.
That is the only word for the Main Character that fits. There is ZERO probability that the MC would have EVER been allowed in the military as a test pilot. He may have been stuck out of the way in supply.. But never in any position of authority. Yes the MC IS THAT DUMB.
I do not recommend this book series. Its poorly written.. And i am being kind by limiting the words i use to just "Poorly".
This is a great book there is just the right combination of intense action and every one in a while NOT every chapter sex, But this book is more of a gamelit genre. This really could have been a longer book it took me just under 5-6 hours to read it and i'm not that fast a reader. All in all it was an amazing book well done Noah.
A regular guy lands in an amazing unregular world. He has to learn to fight for all that important to him and for the members of His tribe. Along the way he meets a few gorgeous women... Yes there is sex too. This was a fun story to read and I'm already downloading the next installment of this series.
Jet pilot becomes the next master of his own tribe .
A pilot flys thru a distortion an is in another world . He gets a message from a old man then disappeared . Great series so far recommend reading can't wait to the next book .
Don't know if this is one of the first books this author has written, but the transitions and logic behind the characters actions & behaviours was terribly written. He literally asks someone "Where on earth am I?", the guys says "What's earth?" and the response from the MC is I must not be on Earth, I will have to live my entire life here in this Tribe, oh well.
Also the narrator has a pleasant voice to listen to, but doesn't seem to express any emotions in the reading. Not really important to the review but something I would like to note.
To be honest I wasnt expecting to much with this one just wanted something fun to read. Boy was I wrong. This book is very fun and enjoyable to read with light litrpg mechanics but very nice city building. The harem aspects are very well done and is reminiscent of alpha world or the valens legacy. Overall great book, very fun and well done story.
It's a good story. I like the concept, the pacing, and the content. There's just a BUNCH of spelling and grammar errors as well as some inconsistencies.
One that caught me (paraphrase, possible minor spoiler): The horse was big enough for two people Some chapters later: The (same) horse was too small to carry us both. Some chapters later: They helped me onto the horse and we rode away together.
That's just one, plus all the easy mistakes that could be corrected to make this a great read.
Fun Harem novel. And adequate Town / city building Story. I would like to see more of the world mechanics explained. It seems that the litRPG mechanics only seem to apply to the land. As of yet our hero doesn't seem to be gaining any meaningful skills other than one spell. However I guess that's what book 2 and thereafter are for. I will be reading the next book and I hope to see more of at least the same if not better.
Well first off...great read! Entertaining keeps the pages flying. Causes you to wonder what happen next. Want to see more development in MC at least once or twice go WTF. Currently on a build streak but why are some things so big... Maybe near something needs...Like magic source...just suggesting for book 3 cause book 2 needs to be out like ASAP PLEASE
Really liked this book. Great premise and a great story with an interesting MC and a great cast of growing characters. Definitely looking forward to seeing more of this series.
This is a good book. You should read it. I like the story. The characters are fun. love books that pay attention to world building. Can’t wait to see how these people grow together.
Jack finds himself the leader of a tribe. He will do whatever it takes to keep the people that depend on him safe. Interesting use of gaming interactions. I’ll be interested in any sequel!
