Richard Kane, a former U.S. Marine, was born in Chester, Pennsylvania, but grew up in Southern California. He has worked in a variety of occupations, including the timber industry and the Department of Homeland Security. Kane is married, has two grown children, and currently lives in Colorado.

This is an extremely well-written book. This book is a must have for anyone studying combinatorics or invariant theory.
