Lincoln O’Malley is not having a good day. It’s cold. It’s raining. He’s running late and has already chalked it up to another bad day. It changes when she walks in and he is so mesmerized by her appearance at first he doesn’t realize she’s talking to him.

This is the second book that I have read by DarkAngel and I must say I had no idea that he could be so good at writing romance. I enjoyed the build up and flirtatious aspect between Lincoln and Kira, the instantaneous chemistry between them was palpable. However there is a definite feeling of secrecy, Kira seems evasive, what is she hiding?
Absolute page turner, DarkAngel is extremely gifted and I am looking forward to the next instalment.

How you do it? I will never know. DarkAngel has produced another book I am truly impressed with. He grabs my attention from the begining. His book provides me with a dose of romance that he laces with humor, wit, excitement and continues to intrigue me with a dose of mystery and suspense.
I love Lincoln and Kira and how they banter, play off of each other and yet have this sweet romance which makes your heart tingle and melt. I felt myself smiling throughout this book putting myself in Kira's place and enjoying the fact that Lincoln dotes on her in his own way. I even found myself reading at times and commenting out loud things like, "awe how sweet." This in turn made me just laugh too because I was commenting to myself about the book out loud.
DarkAngel then adds another layer of relationships in this book. He adds Kira's friend Li and you see the friendship they share. A friendship I can relate to. A friendship where you meet someone and click. I have experienced this type of friendship myself. One where you feed off of each other. You know them so well you sense when something is or isn't right and you will be there for them no matter what. When Li is introduced into the story I can't help but like her from the beginning. Again, I continue smiling while I read about their friendship. How he draws out these emotions that feed me and make me produce and outward reaction just by reading I will never know.
Of course, he doesn't stop there. DarkAngel throws in more because we need more emotions and more things to intrigue us and keep us on our toes and guessing. So why not throw in a dose of mystery and suspense at the end. I mean heck why not? As DarkAngel has entitled this book Taken part 1. So of course there is going to be a cliffhanger. And guess what? DarkAngel has now reeled you in so you will wait for the next book. And you will wait so you can continue the story and know what happens to these characters that have made a home in your heart and life.

This story already has my mind running wild. What started out as a rom/com has now taken a twist into a physiological thriller. I feel like when you read a tale by DarkAngel, what you’re looking for is usually hiding in plain sight. Lincoln is the kind of man any woman would be lucky to have in their life. He’s thoughtful and observant and truly cares about Kira’s wellbeing. This story is filled with romance, witty banter, secrets and a cliffhanger ending that will leave you screaming for more. I’m sure this series will haunt me until the bitter end.

This is an entirely different type of read than I am use to from DarkAngel. It is light-hearted and funny and romantic and dare I say sweet. However, there is also that element of mystery peppered in when our (H) Lincoln falls for a beautiful stranger, Kira. She has secrets and is coy with playing the game at revealing them. He is intrigued by this. He soon finds out that he is not the only one that doesn't know everything about her. Even her best friend Li is left scrambling for answering when Kira ends up missing. So many unanswered questions.....so many secrets to be revealed...so many of us readers left on the edge of our seats! Now we wait for the next book in the series...

This story begins with our main man Lincoln having a bad day. While at a coffee shop, in walks his angel, Kira. The story begins to unfold with these two. Will Lincoln ask her out? Will anything become of them? This is another brilliant write from author DarkAngel, that will keep you wanting more as you read it. You are drawn in by these characters from the beginning, the story line is fantastic and the ending will leave you begging for more!! I can't wait for the next one!!

Taken started out as a sweet romantic story. This story had me captivated from the beginning. I loved the chemistry and connection between Lincoln and Kira.
As the story progresses the romantic story turns to a psychological thriller, which I never saw coming.
I'm anxious to see where Dark Angel takes us in Book 2.

Taken Part I is an amazing read. It starts in one direction then has a twist which takes in a whole other direction. DarkAngel has a way of getting your attention and keeping it through out his books and definitely wanting more, he has become one of the top mystery/who done it writers. Can't wait for Part II. Excellent read, highly recommend it

Love this!
This may be my favorite of DarkAngels books. The sweet romance of it had me all girly sigh and heart eyes. But there is so much more to it than just that. It's very well written (as are all of DarkAngels books) but that twist....I feel like hes got something up his sleeve with this one and I cant wait to find out what it is!

July 30, 2021Never tell DarkAngel that there is something he can’t write. He will prove you wrong as he did with Taken. He can work his usual magical word power with anything. I love this novel very much. Kira and Lincoln are great together. I love the chemistry and banter between them. I truly enjoy DarkAngel’s writing style. He has a way with words that keeps you captivated. This is a romcom turning into a psychology thriller and ends in a cliffhanger. I am ready for part two to see what’s in for Lincoln and Kira.

I am speachless... Don't get me wrong, I meant it in a good way... With every book I read, I discover a totally new world, and with this one I was not disappointed. I loved it from start to the end, it's great and you can't put it dow.. you owe me a night's sleep DA, definitely worth it though..

I loved the story of Lincoln and Kira. DarkAngel always pulls me into his stories. It was definitely different than anything I’ve read from him. I love how the story is going along so smoothly and then boom it takes a hard left. I can’t wait for the next part. Fantastic job DA!

Beautifully written (finished it in one day)

Intriguing
I love the way this author writes. His ability to pull you into the story is simply amazing. I was spellbound and intrigued from almost the first page until the last and left wanting more. Now I'm simply waiting in eager anticipation for the next book to come out.

DarkAngel has written another book that leaves me wanting more. Lincoln and Kira are adorable together, but not all may be as it seems. RomCom to Psychological Thriller, the Author has absolutely exceeded any and all of my expectations with this one. The best part is, it’s only
part one so there IS more to come. I can’t wait to get my hands on part two.☺️

DarkAngel has definitely surprised me with this book. It started out one way and turned into something else. I like it when an author has my mind going into several places. There are unexpected twists and turns that kept me captivated. DarkAngel is a master at telling a story. There is a cliffhanger and I am looking forward to the next installment. Kudos to DarkAngel.
