Arlena and her knights have narrowly escaped death.

With Avalon vanished in the mists and Crusaders activity on the rise, they have few options left but to hide.

I live a quiet life with my husband and two dogs. All the excitement I need is in my books. And my full name is Lisa Alice Grant. But I couldn't resist using my initials.

Fast

This story comes at you fast, leaving little time to breathe or catch details. Emotions happen quickly, events rush forward, and the narrative clips along. I liked it, but not as much as I should have for a King Arthur tale.

Wow

So not sure I wanna read Gwens story or if I even think she's redeemable. Originally when I read the first book I felt sorry for her because her husband was never around and then her lover left her to defend his King and home and died and I was mad at Percy for how he felt but.....

Now I completely understand. She's selfish and only cares of herself. Yes she deserved better but at the end of the day she left her husband and in doing so SHE helped destroy Camelot. She ultimately got her husband and lover killed and now she wants revenge? The absolute audacity of her to believe she deserved anything but to die alone. I honestly wish she never got her own story because she doesn't deserve it at all

Love Arlena and her Knights though

Becoming more formulaic than fun

The characters are compelling. I hope they are successful in their quest but I will not be reading any more of this series. It's become predictable and sophomoric.
