She’s an orphan that knows nothing about the world she’s being thrown into. He’s a powerful King and in charge of training her for the upcoming war.
Arabella is counting down the days until she turns eighteen and can escape the horrible home she grew up in. Her goal is simple- don’t cause any problems; stay under the radar until she turns eighteen and can be free of that horrible place. That plan goes out the window on the day of her eighteenth birthday.
The day she turns eighteen, King Ryder shows up and tells her she’s a telepath and part of an ancient prophecy. Oh, and she bears his true marks. He wants her to come live at the castle so he can train her for the upcoming war. She doesn’t believe him. That is until she notices strange markings on her body and hears voices in her head.
Arabella reluctantly agrees and leaves behind everything she’s known to move to the castle to train. Soon, she’s is in it so thick, she can’t see to make her way anymore. The only thing that keeps her grounded is the steady presence of Ryder at her side. But when he disappears, Arabella risks losing herself altogether.
Arabella has spent her entire life going at it alone, but now for the first time, Arabella has people who care about her. It’s time for Arabella to unite with Gwin, Zalia, and Raven and the powerful first-borns. First, they need to get Ryder back; then they need to prepare to fight. There’s a war coming, and her power is the only thing that can turn the tide. It’s time to finish this.
Don’t miss this epic conclusion to the True Marks series! *If you love fated mates and slow-burn romance, this book is for you!
A. J. Manney lives outside of Philadelphia with her husband and four kids. Some of her favorite things to do include reading, family days, being a pastor's wife, and watching football on Sunday afternoons with her family
Although some of the books in this series merited a three star rating, this last one was a pain to read. In many ways the story is a canned repeat of the previous books in the series. Although AJ Manney sketches each guy character in a different way so that you anticipate encountering each character throughout the series, I felt that Reid's character was not as well developed as it could have been. The story seems to be more plot driven than character driven. I think some of the author's plot choices get in the way of the characters. For example, Arabella's attitude toward Reid quickly changes from defiance to a desire for relationship with him. When Reid returns Arabella acts sad that they don't have the same relationship they used to have. . . But they hadn't really developed a relationship yet. So the book largely skips over any relationship building.
I have read all of these books !! They were good some more then others, but mostly good enough that I wanted to keep reading!
But this one !! I loved 😍 We saw a little of a different side of Ryder and this book and I LOVED that Arabella did give him a inch!! And kept him on his toes !! One thing I really like about this series is Yes they are True Marks and ment to be together but it's never instant Love! Yes there is that instant like Protectiveness that's there , but I really think that in this book it really explains it well what a true mark is, and how even though he knew it was her!! He still got to try and know her and how he explained that even if it wasn't for the marks he still knew that she was the one for him !! its was the better out of the series for me!!.
This story definitely was redemptive to the previous installment. The prior book I reviewed as almost unnecessary. There was no real action and tons of words. But this book main character had a full life and experience prior to meeting up with her faded mate. The story and action continued, and the characters introduced all were woven throughout the entire story instead of just one portion as the previous installment. I loved this book and I’m so glad I went ahead and read it despite book number three disappointment to me.
I loved this whole series! I read each book a day and as soon as I finished one I started the next. I have several of your series and loved them, too. I love the way each couple has grown together and I have so much respect and admiration for your creative and well-crafted work.
I have read this series and can't put the books down. I was sucked into each character and loved getting more involved with all the details. I want to go back and reread the series and enjoy the books all over again.
Really enjoyed this series. Glad to know that there will be more stories in this series. This story had a few twists and most characters might have survived. We did lose a few characters. Anyway get the books and leave your reviews.
Wow so much happened and I loved every single word. The four connected and did what needed to be done. I loved the action and other parts. What I did want was more for the wedding and the ending.
Love it! This is a great series! I highly recommend it! 🚫🤬🚫🌶️ It’s a fun Re-read anytime you want something you know you’ll like. Makes me want to curl up in front of a fireplace at a cabin ….. **sigh**
