Not at all a bad story, I enjoyed the not so well hidden stabs at Google Nest/Home line of products, the artificial intelligens gone wild and the cloak and dagger games. It somehow made me think of James Bond, but Jack Ryan is no Bond. He's POTUS and he has a lot of enemies both domestic and foreign. The problem I have with this book is that the author stays on the surface of the issues. I would have loved if it had gone deep and studied the problem at hand from evey angle, like they used to. The author doesn't even try to trick the reader, which I suppose is why the story fits in an ordinary pocket book. It's not a bad book, just not as brilliant as it could have been.
