It's Complicated

Rate this book
New Year’s Eve…check.
Fake ID…check.
Falling for the cop…check.
Complicated…double check.

Natalie Reid wanted an adventure. She wanted a night she’d never forget that ended with a kiss at midnight.

What she didn’t want was to be sitting at the police station facing a gorgeous cop with no intention of giving him the information he needs.
What she didn’t want was to disappoint the only man in her life who she considers family.
What she didn’t want was to drag her best friend into this sinkhole with her.

They say love isn’t complicated, people are.
Even after a life of obstacles, this is still the most difficult situation she’s ever been in.
But somehow, she’s having a hard time regretting it.
Especially when the biggest complication is wearing a badge.

Jennifer Hanks has done it again! She's given us another short story set in the DiMarco world.

I'm trying to figure out the best way to describe how Natalie, one of the main characters, fits into this world, and, yep, is complicated!

Natalie wants a night to let loose, have fun, and be wild for a change. What she didn't expect was to find herself in trouble and having to answer questions to Kurt, an ambitious cop that is attracted to Natalie the minute he lays eyes on her.

For a short story, it packed quite a punch.

I highly recommend this whether you are a DiMarco fan or not.

Doing the wrong thing on New Years Eve lead to Natalie falling in love at first sight with the office arresting her, the bonus is Kurt feels exactly the same way.

Just what I needed

Where do I even begin? I was so excited for this novella. Getting to know Natalie was fun. And her man is sexy! The chemistry between the 2 of them was off the charts. I could feel my heart flutter while reading. However my favorite part of this book was getting a glimpse of some of the other characters. If I hadn't already fallen in love with Tyler, it would have happened in this book. Loved it!!!

You are once again tossed into the Dimarco world in this novella. You get to meet Natalie and Kurt who meet at a underage bar bust. She's under the drinking age (not by much) and he's the cop. It's instant, and you feel it off the pages. The one thing keeping this book from burning up your kindle is Sophie and her timely sayings! This book will have you laughing so hard you will cry with Sophie's antics. But it will also have you fanning your face with the heat from Nat and Kurt!

This was short but sweet read.
You get a glimpse of the dimarco's.
Jennifer never disappoints.
Trying to do what's rights isn't always easy.
One poor decision on new years eve lands Natalie in some trouble.
It's was also the best decision of her life. It lead to her finding your love at first sight.
Kurt meets Natalie at a bar where they are letting in underage people. Kurt is a sexy as hell cop.
Find out what happens then Puck up this book.
I highly recommend this.

Loved the Dimarco Series

This book was funny and entertaining. Nice spin off from the other series by one of my favorite authors. If you haven't read any of Jennifer Hanks other books you are missing out. Read them-- you won't be sorry!

Oh My Heart!!!

Let me just say I loved Tyler in Grace’s story. He’s just as sweet in this one. Maybe even more so since they aren’t really related.
Kurt and Natalie are opposites who attract. Kinda. You need to read this one to see how perfect they are for each other.

You won't go wrong when you open a Jennifer Hanks book, and this novella is right up there with them. It's a off-shoot of the DiMarco's series, and you will love every second you spend in these pages!

Good

This was a good short story. I'm happy Natalie got a story, now I hope Sarah gets one. It's a fast paced, easy read.
