The brand new full-length standalone romantic comedy from the bestselling author of Big Sexy Love!

Nora Tucker is an admin assistant from a tiny English village.

Gary Montgomery is Hollywood’s hottest new star.

After seeing him on the silver screen, Nora believes that Gary is her soulmate, her one true love, the man she's supposed to grow old and wrinkly with. She knows it sounds nuts, she knows it’s completely crazy. But sometimes love is crazy, right?

Only... how on earth is this Plain Jane introvert supposed to get to Los Angeles, infiltrate Gary’s inner circle AND convince him that they’re meant to be? Throwing herself into this mission might be a tall order but it means Nora can stop thinking about that one awful day, two years ago, when everything in her life fell apart...

With the help of a sunny Californian weather girl, a super hot but super grumpy script writer, and a very passionate Adam Levine tribute act, Nora is about to try the impossible and let fate decide her future…

First of all - any fans of Kirsty Greenwood, you are going to be on the ceiling with happiness and absolutely piddle your pants laughing because this is ONE OF HER BEST BOOKS YET! (Obviously a tie with Big Sexy Love, OBVIOUSLY!)
Any new readers, I guarantee that when you do finish reading this book you will frantically search for every single Kirsty Greenwood book on the planet!

He Will Be Mine is about a girl called Nora, who is not really living her best life and is far too comfortable wallowing in her own company in rainy England. She pops off to L.A to try and find her soulmate and has the best adventures along the way!

So, if you are deliberating with the idea of reading this book STOP RIGHT NOW AND DO IT. It is one of the funniest books I have ever read ever ever ever!
If you know Kirsty’s Greenwood’s books and have been eagerly awaiting her new release... you will not be disappointed. This book had me laughing from the first few pages until the very end. And I don’t mean a little chuckle here and there, I mean full on belly laughing oops did I just do a little pump by accident kind of laugh! It is definitely one of her best ones so far. If you haven’t read a Kirsty Greenwood book then you simply must. She has an amazing gift of creating these insanely funny stories that have you hooked from the very start until the end, and even then you are thinking about it and laughing for ages!

ANYWAY, this book is perfect for any lockdown blues. You will absolutely laugh your tatas off. If you like funny romantic comedies then give this a try, it is one of her best books yet and she has wrote some absolute bangers already. She is hands down the best and funniest author I have ever ever came across. You will instantly want to read all of her books as she is THAT good. I would start with Big Sexy Love, then this one - He Will Be Mine and then the rest of her amazing books in any order you wish! You absolutely do not need to read Big Sexy Love before this one, this is a complete standalone book but some characters from BSL do make an appearance in this, so that why I would say to read that first.

So do it, download this book and get ready to laugh your Chebs off. Maybe do an accidental little pump on your husbands leg in bed from laughing too much (soz Brett)

Enjoy!

Was this story absolutely ludicrous? Yes. Did I giggle, laugh, gasp, cover my mouth in anticipation, and cry? Yes! Did I stay up past my bedtime compulsively listening because I had to know how the story ended? Yes. Will I read everything Kirsty Greenwood has ever written or will write in the future? Absolutely! 🙌🏼

He Will Be Mine is the latest fabulous romantic comedy from Kirsty Greenwood. In this story we follow 27 year old Nora as she heads off to Los Angeles to try to meet Hollywood heartthrob actor Gary.

Nora has sadly become an introvert and recluse after a devastating event two years ago. She works as a virtual assistant at home and loves nothing more than reading a good RomCom book and watching her favourite films on tv.

Nora first sees Gary in his latest blockbuster movie and gets that once in a lifetime thunderbolt moment. She immediately falls head over heels in love with him.

Nora’s sister Imogene is very concerned about her lifestyle and her refusal to date anyone else. She books her on a flight to LA to go in hunt of the movie star that she believes is 'the one' and this is where the fun starts. I won’t give you any spoilers but as unlikely as this scenario sounds, it all happens in that “realistic” Romcom way that totally draws you in.

Is Nora a crazy stalker or a hopeless romantic believing in fate? I’ll leave you to decide, but this book is bound to resonate with anyone who has had a crush on a movie or pop star (Robbie Williams, ahem 😂).

He Will Be Mine had a head start with me as it is set in Venice Beach and other locations around Los Angeles. I love tv and books set in LA, particularly the beach resorts, and this is particularly welcome as the weather starts to get dark and miserable in the UK.

Now, all my regular readers will know that Kirsty’s earlier novel, Big Sexy Love, is one of my favourite books ever and there’s always the wonder if anything else can ever top that. Well, He Will Be Mine gives it a good run and I can quite confidently say it’s up there with it. I read pretty much the whole book in one day, only giving in and leaving a bit for the next day because my eyes were so tired. I absolutely loved this and feel quite sad now that it’s finished.

Kirsty Greenwood writes with the usual warm and funny manner that we have come to expect. She manages to deliver a great mix of laugh out loud scenarios, alongside a couple of tearjerker moments. Highly recommended.

This is crying out to be made into a film. If you've read it let me know who you think should play the roles?

This is utterly bonkers and full of sheer brilliance.

It is like a breathe of fresh air, a purely joyous romcom that could only ever happen in the movies and really would make a great film.

Ok it may never happen in real life, but this is fictional and while lost in Nora's world, I was able to believe everything that has happening and enjoy it too.

For Nora believes in true love and is utterly convinced after watching Gary Montgomery for a minute in his first blockbuster film, that he is her soul mate.

Her sister Imogen in order to prove Nora is delusional encourages her onto a plane to LA to try to meet him and prove it is madness.

And the bright bubbly Kennedy who Nora is staying with is eager to help too.

It's a riotous, incredibly fun story that I was never completely sure how it would end, but just knew I was enjoying the journey to find out.

Once more Kirsty Greenwood has written a fabulous book that I couldn't get enough of. What a joy to read.

Thank you to the author for this copy which I have reviewed honestly and voluntarily.

This book is hilarious and currently in the top 2 Kirsty Greenwood novels.

Nora is such a likeable character and I think lots of women can see themselves in her one way or another.

Nora is looking for true love, just like her mum and dad had when they were still alive. When her sister takes her to the movies she gets those butterflies in her stomach when she sees the main character Gary Montgomery on the screen. She needs to meet him!! Imogene (Nora’s sister) tells her she’ll pay for a ticket to Los Angeles so she can meet him and fall in love with him. Or, according to Imogene, come back home and go to a psychiatrist to sort herself out.

Once she lands in Los Angeles, she stays with a woman she met online on a forum about their favourite book series, and they two get along immediately.

What happens to Nora is hilarious and you’ll have to read the book to find out!

What a fabulous story about what we all dream of doing, running off to a far off land to pursue the celebrity we are sure that we are meant to be with. If you are looking for some escapism right now then you can't really go wrong with joining Nora on her Californian adventure!

This story really is escapism at its finest, it takes those 'what if' moments and plays them out on the page with a whole dose of Hollywood glam and a lot of help from romance novels. I love any book that champions its own genre and makes romance writing and reading romance novels cool. I also love all the pop culture references in there like lines from The Office, SNL-alike stars and of course the most amazing romance books and movies.

Nora and Gary make for great main characters in this book. Nora is somewhat insecure and so we get to travel with her as she steps out of her comfort zone of this journey and what a journey it is for her. She has to adjust to a whole new lifestyle and a whole new culture as well as adjusting to doing something that is completely out of character for her. With Gary we get to see behind the smoke and mirrors of the celebrity lifestyle and a little of what life is like when you take away the Instagram filters. I loved how much heart Gary had and how he actually dealt with his emotions in his own way rather than keeping them bottled up like a lot of people in his position. I love that we get to catch up with Seth and Olive from Big Sexy Love too! The real star of the show here are the side characters though, they are fully formed, uniquely weird and just totally there for Nora on her journey-perfection!

I didn't really know how this book was going to play out. I was definitely wishing for Nora to have a great trip but I was doubtful about her endeavors a lot of the time and I did want to hop into the book and speak to her at certain moments. Overall though this book made me laugh and at the same time was very real about what life is like when you're in the public eye. I really enjoyed it and enjoyed escaping with some ice cream along with Nora and Winklepuff.

I'm crying, I'm happy, I'm feeling all sort of emotions right now. This is such a beautiful book and I'm so glad I finally got around to reading it. I loved all the characters (except shitty Bradon and Erin) and I haven't fallen so in love with a female protagonist in forever. This is my first Kirsty Greenwood book so forgive me for being utterly dazed at how she was able to make me fall in love with fictional characters. I'm proudly a literary darling and I gladly bumped up a few of her books on my tbr-pile.

Nora falls in love with herself and it's pure watching her discover herself and the type of joy that is outside her bedroom walls. Not that there's anything particularly negative about being an introvert, but I loved seeing her find happiness all around her. I loved the way she got back the glow in her cheeks. The author could have easily made this another type-esque story and she would only be able to find happiness in the male protagonist, but I loved that she herself grow and learn more about herself.

I freely admit this book had me panting, screaming, and almost tugging my hair whenever they would narrowly miss each other. I NEEDED them to meet each other finally and when they did....it was fire. All her feelings confirmed in less than a second and once again love seized the day.

Easily the best book I've read this 2022, I have to say I expected some weird Crazy ex girlfriend scenarios, but it wasn't at all a Crazy woman, on the contrary, Nora was a fully relatable character, she knew what she was doing seemed crazy AF, but to the reader it doesn't sound that crazy! To me she was a funny, amazing, and very beautiful woman, she had the luck to get the best friend you could ever want in Kennedy, an amazing sister in Imogen, and an amazing little guy named Winklepuff, Gary was a great guy! You know how they say to us they're shining stars very far away, but to their family and friends they're just people like us? He was that, he had great friends, a very funny diary and he was just a normal dude who happened to became famous doing what he loved, and that in no way changed him, he remained a human being, he had a very idiotic girlfriend that was obviously just wanting to ride his fame, he was a cool, nice guy and I'm glad he was the GUY, this book made me laugh and cry like a mad person, I felt so many emotions, I actually know what Nora was feeling because I do feel a lot like her most of the time anyway, I adored it, I can't recommend it enough, she wasn't crazy, she was just a person on search of happiness.

What a whirlwind. Everyone kept telling this girl she was crazy and I started to really question myself here. Once again the author presents a comical and endearing tale for Nora as she does for all her FMCs. This girl is really struggling but also really bravely going after what she believes could be the real deal. The brother threw me for a loop, from being convinced I knew his purpose in the story, to being confused at his actions, then have him turn around, I did t know how to feel about him from one minute to the next. Then the movie star came into play and I just found him sweet and endearing the whole time but felt like I waited forever for him and his POV to impact the story. The best friend was a good character, she confused me too along the way with her sketchy behavior. The sister felt like she got shafted with Dan. Overall I had fun and I ended up liking the ending, just felt like it took us a while to get there. Spice was pretty closed door so one chili 🌶️

This was such a wild ride. Nora is one of those characters you either love or hate and I have to admit the first half had me cringing a lot from the things that happened to her buy at the same time they made me absolutely adored her. Now, with Gary was instant love. He's such a fun character to read about; the whole diary thing was absolutely hilarious. it was amazing to read about their sides of the story before finally meeting.
I also enjoyed a lot from the side characters, some more than others, Billy Fever was my favorite though, but overall it was a fun light hearted read.
This is truly perfect match for someone who loves Sophie Kinsella books!! If you like Confessions of a Shopaholic, then you're going to LOVE this!

Whenever Kirsty Greenwood releases a new book, I’m right there at the front of the queue begging the bookseller to take all of my money. So when she said that she was sending out ARC’s for her new book, He Will Be Mine, I was like ‘pick me pick me pick me!’

We’re introduced to Nora, a twenty something virtual assistant who, after a devastating loss, chooses to spend her days working from home in her pyjamas, having minimal contact with the outside world. Always a big believer in soulmates and the one, Nora is holding out for that one person who makes her feel that zing. After witnessing her parents idyllic relationship, she’s not willing to settle for anything less.

After a trip to the cinema with her sister to see the latest film starring movie star Gary Montgomery, Nora experiences a heart stopping moment where she realises that Gary may be her soulmate. When she explains this to her sister Imogene, who is less than convinced, Nora then realises that she has to do something about it.

What occurs from here can only be described as an adventure of a lifetime, with a few mishaps thrown in (flipping Nicolas Cage the bird is one that springs to mind, I laughed so loudly at this that I think I owe my neighbours an apology, it was about 11pm when I was reading this). Meeting new friends, both two legged and four legged, Nora slowly but surely comes out of her shell and realises that she’s been hiding away for far too long. Another thing I adored about this book was the fact that it was from dual POV, from both Nora and Gary’s perspective, with Gary’s chapters in journal form. Both Nora and Gary have experienced grief and are currently working through this, along with some underlying guilt.

He Will Be Mine was an absolute joy from beginning to end; a story filled with so many hilariously wonderful characters, but that also touched on a few very important topics, such as grief and mental illness. Kirsty Greenwood has yet again written a book so wonderful that I’m praying there’a a sequel, as I’m dying to find out what happens with Nora, Gary and the gang.

Book provided by the author in exchange for an honest review

I have always loved Kirsty Greenwood as an author and I enjoyed all her books very much. So obviously, I was very excited for this one.

Nora Tucker has been through a lot in her life and right now she’s not in a great place. Her sister sends her off to LA, because Nora is “in love” with actor Gary Montgomery. I know, you heard right! We all had one or the other crush on a celebrity I guess, but Nora brings it to a new level. The first time she saw him on the screen, she had a feeling that he is the one.

Well, in LA introverted Nora has to do something to actually find Gary. She is staying with Kennedy, who likes the same books she likes and then there is also her grumpy brother Brandon. Along with the Uber driver and Adam tribute singer, Kennedy and Brandon play an important role in this story and they all brought a refreshing element into the storyline.

Nora ends up on Gary’s set, goes to an event where he is speaking and even ends up having brunch with him. However, every time something weird or embarrassing is happening and that doesn’t make it easier for her.

Being in LA is good for Nora though, because she finally experiencing life again and is learning to let go and care for herself.
I adored that the story was told from both perspectives. Gary got to share his feelings as well, in kind of a journal form and that was great! We saw his side as well and it was definitely interesting and made the story more exciting. He goes through a lot in this book as well. Of course we also get to see how his life as an actor is, which was awesome.

LA is the perfect setting for this book and I got hooked immediately. Kirsty Greenwood’s writing is funny, gripping, fresh, unique and very entertaining. It’s full of witty scenes and special moments and Kirsty just captures the magic beautifully.

Sometimes I felt like there were too many “coincidences”, but I kind of forgot about that again and just enjoyed the story.

The ending is absolutely brilliant and I actually want more!!

It’s the perfect story to escape in and just enjoy!

AWESOME!!!

So after battling to get my son to sleep before I fell into oblivion myself and find myself unable to read He Will Be Mine I finally managed to snuggle up in bed with my kindle and get stuck in.

Not even a chapter in I realised my relation to Nora is crazy to the point I actually think I may BE her.... from deciding on the reasons she may have to get dressed (me every day working from home throughout lockdown) to using a toddler to avoid conversation with strangers (my 5 year old is very handy for this, although he isn't aware of this skill). Not to mention the fact that avoiding relationships is my forte.

I absolutely loved the story of Nora and her socially awkward, disastrous ways which had me laughing out loud and wishing for everything to just work out for her.... although the bumps along the way were incredibly entertaining.

Most importantly it's made me realise that perhaps I should go after my dream man.... Zac Efron.... well.... a girl can dream right?!

Definitely a feel good entertaining read to get stuck into!!

When there's a new Kirsty Greenwood book out you just know that you will be able to switch off from the world for a while and immerse yourself in someone else's drama and dilemmas. This book is absolutely perfect for that! Additionally you will be transported from a rather wet, rainy and dark England to sunnier climates.

Kirsty's characters are always refreshingly honest, open and...well...normal. I really loved meeting Nora and Gary and all of the attached friends and family that came with them. The storyline sounds predictable...but far from it. There are some brilliant moments from laugh out loud to devastatingly emotional scenes. Twists, reveals and so much more. You will not regret picking up this book and switching off from the world!

I would just like to say a very big thank you to the author for forwarding me an ARC copy of this book, in return for an honest review.
This book is the latest addition to the rom com genre and is written by an amazing author, who I love.
It is set in various, fabulous locations in and around Los Angeles and is perfect at the moment for pure escapism!
Written in her usual, fabulous style, He Will Be Mine is full of the usual laugh out loud scenes that have me crying with laughter and also has realistic, down to earth characters who are all so wonderful and believable.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book and it left me in the best mood after reading it!

I absolutely LOVED this book. It’s laugh out loud funny. I didn’t want it to end or put it down. It’s a romcom, but it’s also inspirational and uplifting with themes of finding joy and being fearless. The characters are relatable and the story is entertaining. The missed connections kept me turning the pages. I rooted for Nora from the very beginning. This is the first book I’ve read by Kirsty Greenwood, but it certainly won’t be the last.

This book has left me in the best mood! He Will Be Mine is unbelievably funny (there is a scene with Nicolas Cage which had me laughing so hard, I had actual tears running down my face), boasts a cast of amazing and quirky characters, is romantic, and has some straight-up emotional themes in it as well. Gah, I don't know what to say except that this is one of the most heartwarming, swoony, funny, and uplifting books I've read this year. A big thanks to the author for bringing her wonderful stories into the world. I've enjoyed every minute of it!

I love how Kirsty brings her characters to life and they are so believable I feel like they are my friends. This is a clean modern romantic comedy with laugh out loud moments, with a great twist at the end. I loved Nora's story and I'm hoping there will be a second book so we can follow her adventures and maybe get to know some more about the other characters.

Aahhh, this story had everything I love in a modern romance; comedy, courage, true love, a dog with bad breath (perhaps not that last one), all wrapped up in perfect plotting and sassy writing. He Will Be Mine had me laughing, wincing, swooning and cheering. Put simply; Greenwood writes a perfect romcom.
