يمكن تسمية هذا الكتاب نشيد على شرف الانسان الفتي البناء الذي « متوسط عمره وعشرون عاما ». وأمام أعين القارئ يجري بناء مدينة جديدة وتشييد سد جبار.
وتبدأ قصة « مذكران معاصر » من اللحظة التي كادت فيها قلوب الناس أن تتدفق « عن الخفقان » لأنهم « يخطون أولى خطواتهم في أرض مجهولة صعبة »، أناس غير مستقرين ولا عنوان ثابت لديهم سوى « شباك البريد » إنهم يجدون هنا وفي الحياة أيضا، عنوانهم الحقيقي الوحيد.
أما القصة الثانية « ثلاث حيوات » فكأنها استمرار للقصة الأولى.
وقد سميت القصتان « السيبيريتين » ليس لأن سيبيريا كانت مسرحا للاحداث فحسب، بل لشغف الكاتب بتلك الأرض، بشوارع مدنها البيضاء المنطلقة نحو التايغا وفوقها سماء زرقاوية قائمة و بأضواء ورشات البناء الجديدة و بنهر الغارا السيبيري الذي سيشاهده القارئ ليلا نهارا خلال قراءته، خلال صقيع الشتاء القاسي وفي الربيع وقد زينت الزهور السيبرية الأولى ضفتيه.
آناتولي بريستافكين يتمتع بموهبة فردية ساطعة. يتميز بصوات الكلمة ودقة الوصف، وخفة المزاح. إن هذا كله يجتمع في مؤلفاته بصورة عضوية بالموضوعات الأساسية في حياتنا.

His mother died when he was nine and his father died in World War II, leaving Anatoly orphan. After spending several years in Soviet orphanages, Anatoly Pristavkin had to start working from the age of 14 onwards, and had various jobs. He started a career as a writer in 1961 and later became a lecturer at a university. Pristavkin became famous in the USSR for his novel «Ночевала тучка золотая…» translated into English as "The Inseparable Twins", which describes the miserable conditions of orphans' life in an orphanage near Moscow during the years of World War II and the re-settlement to Chechnya in 1944, as Chechens had been deported. The book became part of school curriculum in the Perestroika-era USSR. Books by Pristavkin were translated to many languages.
