Nationless Will Fall

Rate this book
If you found the person who murdered your brother and destroyed your home, you’d kill them… wouldn’t you?

The last thing Blake O’Riley said to his mother before Scotland was cut off was a promise to keep his brother safe. He’s protected him from the horrors inside and outside Nationless, their faction.

But some promises can be broken no matter how hard you try.

When a prisoner turns their secret weapon against them, she forces Blake into no man’s land, alone and grieving. Then Anita Carmichael stumbles into his path. The woman who took everything from him. She deserves to die. But… the more he learns about her, the more confused he gets.

Can Blake forgive the unforgivable? And, in this savage land of war and death, can two lost souls find redemption in each other?

If you like enemies to lovers, second chances and survival fiction, you’ll love Nationless Will Fall. Read the novella from the action-packed dystopian romance and adventure series The Faction War Chronicles and fall in love with the only honourable man left in Scotland.

This book is written in British English and contains swearing, sex and violence (including attempted rape and sexual assault). Some scenes also include the discussion of torture, grief from the loss of a family member, and thoughts of suicide.

The author recommends reading Nationless Will Fall after Salvation Road and before Homecoming, the final book in The Faction War Chronicles.

Nadine Little is a science fiction and paranormal romance author from Scotland. Her books have received five-star reviews from Readers’ Favorite and a Red Ribbon in The Wishing Shelf Book Awards. Her debut novel Captivity was an Amazon bestseller in the erotic science fiction category… but her books have only gotten steamier from there.

When she’s not writing, she works as an ecologist surveying for protected habitats and species, and uses that experience to bring her worlds to life. She writes about strong women and vulnerable men, her favourite tropes being enemies to lovers and forbidden love.

Secrets keep surfacing and the fight continues in the next exciting installment of the Fraction Chronicles. Every faction thinks they are the right one. I am looking forward to seeing how this ends.

IS there hope at the end of the tunnel?

‘Sometimes it takes a good fall to really know where you stand.’ ~ Hayley Williams
This quote (prior to the book’s beginning) really sums up the series’ theme. Anita doesn’t only fall; she gets knocked down, punched down, slammed down, kicked down, pulled down, beat down…yet she gets up and continues her fight.
‘Anita survived worse to get this far, what’s a little warship theft and desertion compared to that?’ Chuckle

I like how this is from Blake’s POV (made it a quicker read than the previous two). The author was able to vary it from Anita’s AND still incorporate some key phrases from ‘Salvation Road’.

Let’s see how Anita’s and Blake’s ‘Homecoming’ goes…

In this addition to the series, we see the war from Blake’s view. From Anita being tortured, and the devastating loss he incurred to his isolation and finally finding Anita. Danger, pain, acceptance and love follow them. Good read
