I recieved a free copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest opinion. All opinions are my own.
TW: gore, blood, graphic violence, the death of a secondary character, suicide, murder, cancer, references to mental illness
This book came as a nice change to what I had been reading until this one. Not because it is so different it isn't, but because it was so entertaining and captivating, and I didn't want to put it down.
I loved all the different mythological characters there were in this book, which made the cast a little unexpected, but very enjoyable. But despite all these characters we only read from one characters perspective, which is a nice surprise, and I love how our main character thinks she is a unreliable narrator.
This is the first book in a series I feel could have a lot of potential, however I cannot fail to mention the ending felt abrupt and I wish the author decided to extend a little bit more the book, maybe a couple more pages would've made a differnce in creating a better ending for the first book. I honestly can't wait to see where this series is heading and hope it continues on track.
