Newly elected congresswoman Sydney Millsap arrives in DC armed with her ideals and sense of duty, and refuses to play by the rules of special interests—or her own party. Kate’s a lobbyist who backs winners. The two collide in the lacerating comedy produced just after the last midterms.
I never liked "The West Wing", because Sorkin's dialogue is atrocious. "Kings" is similar subject matter (although congress instead of executive), but done right. And it's depressing as hell how corrupt is our system of government, by laying bare exactly how lobbyists operate.
