A collection of Jack Ma quotes. In a lot of ways, very bland and broadly accepted things, but when they come from a Chinese entrepreneur there's some thing communicated. The really interesting part, in light of recent events, is Jack Ma's view on government: he never took money from them, and likes to have no problems with them by having no interactions with them -- the point of referring them to other businesses if they approach with collaboration or contracting needs, or if they refuse to go elsewhere, doing work for them for free on the terms that they don't ask for his help in the future.

من به شخصه جک ما رو خیلی دوست دارم، یکی از دلایلش هم اینه که عاشق فارست گامپ هست، این کتاب برگزیده صحبت‌های ایشون در سخنرانی‌ها، جلسات و مصاحبه‌های مختلف هست، من که خیلی دوست داشتم این کتاب رو و خیلی چیزها یاد گرفتم.

3stars for a quick go-to book for any day that’s deserving of shelf space. Not 5 stars because it’s too short to make an impact and it’s just a compilation of his words.

The book contains Jack Ma speeches and interesting words in some interviews. The book was really helpful to me to get an idea about his way of thinking and mindset, and also to get inspired by him as one of the strongest men in the world according to Forbes.
I highly recommend this book for everyone who have a passion in entrepreneurship, how to grow businesses and how to get a part in the market.
In this book jack Ma talks about how he discovered the internet and how he believed that this new tool can change the world, and he also gives many advices to leaders and managers about how to treat employees.According to Jack Ma the clients are the first interest for him, secondly the employees, and finally the investors.

Jack Ma is a revolutionary entrepreneur and one of the founders of Chinese tech giant Alibaba. This book is a compilation of quotes from Jack aggregated by main topics that act as chapters and subtopics within those confines. There is nice structure to the way the book is put together. These quotes are insightful and inspiring. I will give one:
"Failure in a fast-moving Internet company, no matter whether you call it a brain freeze or a brain fever, comes from fear of making mistakes. Mistakes have to be made today in order to grow and run better tomorrow. Just don't keep making the same mistake!" (pg. 56)

Great pearls of wisdom under layers of humble. I agree with so much of what he as said in the book I find quite eerie, Perhaps it is the great love for TAI CHI and all it teaches to the person who recognizes its wealth.

Once again the story of the hero in the everyday man. Thank you for sharing Jack.

I would like Jack to focus on making VR where we can all put on glasses and see the instructor as well as the many souls around us also moving together in THE Way.

Lots of great stuff - will review again soon. This is just a bunch of stuff from public interviews and such and not book by Jack or from a special interview. But it was my first introduction to his Ideas and thoughts and I loved it. Not an excellent book but lots of great thinking and business thinking -and even though what people say in news interviews and the like isn’t quite the same thing they’d tell their teams or kids but there is still a lot of wisdom and consideration in it depending on the person. Jack Ma comes across as open.

Most of Jack Ma's quotes expresses his uniquely witty personality. He is very humble in his work and puts his customers and employees above him. It is because of this humility (coupled with hard work and preserverance) that attracted the monumental success in Alibaba. The book's editors deserve much credit for sourcing and translating these quotes, especially those that are told towards a Chinese audience.

It just take one day for me to finished this entire book because he was so motivating for every person who thought they didn't have anything in their life.

He thought every persons out there with his speech and I could see clearly how he maintaining his life, his business, his customers and everything with his words.

A compilation of Jack Ma's quotes that reflect his overall mission/vision of his company and personal life. Readable but you start seeing the similarities across all the different topics, it'll be better to read other books on Jack Ma's struggle and process of becoming one of the most influential individual than to re-read repeats of his quotes. Overall, still a pretty good insight on his values!

There is so much good wisdom here from an entrepreneurial standpoint, but there is no flow to the thoughts. It’s just a random series of nuggets of wisdom with almost no organization. I gave it 3 stars because the wisdom in it is still very valuable, but if it were written with common themes to link different ideas it would have been higher in my opinion.

This book is a collection of thoughts of Jack Ma. There is no story but Jack Ma's views on different aspects of life and business. Must say he began humble but took a chance to bring about change in China. Some of his thoughts are profound (eg : give back to the society, never give up), while some are the same which we would have heard elsewhere. But a short book so worth a quick listen.
