This book was basically porn

Reread 1: December 31st, 2022. Reread this in exchange for the lack of smut between 💜🤍 oh and the sex bw Mr. Poe and Cold is basically a dream come true 🙊

🤡🤡 And I loved it and I love it even more knowing that this 170 page book took me longer to read than a 400 page book 👏

Loved all the kinky fuckery happening in this book, even though some were a bit out of my comfort zone.

What I loved most with all the kinky fuckery was the devotion Rod and Jimmy had for each other, the complete trust and absolute loyalty and unwavering honesty they shared together to give light to these lessons. Absolutely marvelous.

(The timeline of this sucks because this book goes against my issues of book 2 but I'll happily ignore that and enjoy ignorance)

I am not sure if I could ever get tired of reading about Jimmy and Cold! This is a perfect little collection of stories about the "lessons" that Cold gives Jimmy and also from some of Jimmy's "research." Yes, it's all about their sexual escapades, but it's such a perfect book for them.

They go through the gamut of rough and gentle, soft and hard, angry and silly and I loved every bit (ok, except for the sounding but that's just me.)
My favorite part though is the role play of Jimmy as a cop. It was hysterical, but hot at the same time and gave a new appreciation of how much trust and affection Cold has for Jimmy. I couldn't love it more!

Reading this is like eating a box of lucky charms, but only the marshmallows. A Cold novel with only the naughty bits. Like, super naughty. The theme of these short stories can be put simply: Jimmy gets his holes stuffed. Every chapter is gloriously filthy. So many kinks, these boys have no limits, there's a little bit of everything here. What a great love-letter to fans of the series!

This was a great collection of short erotica. As with most things, there were some kinks that I liked better than others, but it was easy to skip or skim where I wasn't interested. One major reason it's only 3 stars is because there is no buildup at all. In many of the stories, the sex has already started. Personally, I find the setup and foreplay to be pretty hot, so the lack of it was a little bit of a letdown for me.

this was not just a smuty novella. this book showed love and trust and again so much love.
Cold.... God this man....
he's so freaking loving and caring and just... SAFE. he's a safe person. everyone needs a Cold in their lives.
And the kinks were so good. I really enjoyed reading them.

I totally enjoyed book 1 and 2. I imagine that reveals that I am pretty open minded. However, I struggled to commit to "A Cold hard collection" primarily because sex was the nucleus and not the chromosomes. while I love a spicy, high octane, sexually charged novel, I am unwilling to sacrifice a reasonable plot and plot devices as a safe vehicle for transportation to an idyllic destination. I opted to quick read this novel, bypassing many of the chapters due to feeling very much overstimulated and yet unsatisfied. To enjoy this novel it has to be read from the perspective of a voyeur whose primary goal is to connect with the main characters through how they sexually express themselves. It would be a perfect treatise on the evolution of their sexual maturity as lovers. That being said the author writes sexual scenes beautifully :) It is a treat for an imaginative person like myself, very stimulating. I still gave it three stars because my issue with it is primarily due to personal taste, so I did not want to rate it subjectively and thus inadvertently discourage anyone who may find that particular approach ideal.

I will never tire of Cold and Jimmy!! This book was so amazing. Their dynamic is awesome and the sex is soooooo hot!! Don’t mistake my focus on the sex as taking away from the story because as always, the plot is there. I love anything K.L. Hiers writes, she’s just that good!

Ah smut. I'm typically a little more circumspect about including unbashedly smutty smut on my goodreads page - I definitely have some, but it makes up a very small percentage of what I actually read.

I vaguely try to keep this profile PG13 I suppose.

But oh gosh. This is literally 25 short vignettes about kinky smut. Something for almost everyone (assuming you like kink, fetishes, m/m smut, bdsm...) with some sweet moments and amusing moments.

Chapter 6 remains my favorite chapter, but Jimmy trying to stay in "character" when role-playing with Boss Cold was so fun. Boss Cold's careful attentiveness before, during and after their lessons. Smaller family-ish moments between the two.

All so adorable and sexy.

This is a total barrage of filthy sex, I had to put it aside now and then to catch my breathe. I congratulate this amazing author for coming up with fresh, ummm, situations in each chapter, I think deep down you may be a dirty girl, but really, well done girl! It was wonderful to visit Cold and Jimmy again, just love those two, such a hot, sexy pair, when Cold calls Jimmy 'Mr. Poe' in his stern, voice I got chills down my spine, I know something intense and rather naughty is about to happen. I hope we see more of Cold, his Gentlemen, and sweet Jimmy.

I love Cold and Jimmy, but this book threw me because even though it's #3 it reads more like it's time in between 1 and 2. At no point does Jimmy call Cold his husband which as of #2 he legally is so that was the first thing that threw me off.

I finished it mostly because I love the MCs, but I did skip some of the "lessons". I think I will leave this off my list if I go back to re-read the others a 3rd and 2nd time respectively.

“Kneel, Mr. Poe.”

You gotta know that when Cold addresses Jimmy as Mr. Poe, it’s gonna be good.

Let’s start off by saying that this isn’t necessarily a story. There is no beginning, middle or end. This is 25 chapters of exploration into a world of sexy kink. This is a loving homage of sexy steam between Cold and Jimmy gifted to us by KL herself. Those who have read Cold Hard Cash and Hard Earned Cash and loved them, always appreciated what Cold and Jimmy got up to in the bedroom. This book is all of the sexy times we didn’t get to see and it is FIRE.

The stories are presented as lessons for Mr. Poe given to him by his Sir, and certainly welcomed by Mr. Poe himself. This book is jammed packed with so much steam and debauchery that you are practically drooling from page one.

All of that is jaw dropping and spectacular. But really, under it all, we get to see a side of Cold that is just wonderful. He lovingly steers Jimmy through scene after scene and is there to catch him in the aftermath. A huge variety of topics are covered but I genuinely enjoyed Cold’s loving care after Jimmy safe words and after he experiences Sub Drop. Cold is nothing short of a master in this book.

100% highly recommended. I’d recommended it just for the intentional/non-intentional Dickens reference alone, but the steam is definitely worth your while. ;)

Oh, the heat is HOT, and the physical chemistry is captivating so be careful you may just get burned all the heat coming off these pages. There were some "oh no" "oh wow" " what the what" moments and add in uncanny mishaps, ups, downs, drama, intrigue, the good kind that makes you turn the page until there are no more to turn. This book is the results of bring back two my favorite characters a Mafia sexy and tough but also caring and loving when it comes to his family. Then throw in said Mafia’s husband and all the stuff these two get into and take us along with them. I will never get tired of reading about Cold and Jimmy and if you have read the two books prior you would understand how they all flow so easily. It is the perfect set this little number takes you on a ride with them and all their sexual escapades and how the two them really complement each other they are perfect together. It is a wild ride showing all the kinkiness, trust and submission between these two.

This collection is a gift!! A book of short, smoking hot chapters of Boss Cold and Jimmy! It's exactly what it says on the tin, and is a wonderful companion to Cold Hard Cash and Hard Earned Cash. It's fun and sexy and shows us a little sneak peak at what our favourtie gangster is teaching Jimmy behind closed doors and blindfolds.

Hiers blends some of the sexy games these boys are used to with some new and exciting things that Jimmy and explore together. She makes kinks I've never had for a second so damn hot. (Do I have a foot fetish now?)

I absolutely loved every chapter of the collection, and if you love Jimmy and Cold you will too!

Boss Cold is a mafia kingpin who paid for Jimmie to go to law school. It seems Jimmie owed him a great deal. Favors paid in a more intimate setting.

Jimmy Poe was a student of the law as well as a student of how much the flesh can handle. Never can he ever walk away, not should he want to.

Excellent set of short stories centered around Boss Cold and Jimmie Poe. The adult situations are intense, imaginations stirring and oh so worth the read. Each chapter is just as intriguing as the next.

This collection of reading also has two other previous books that I now need to indulge.

I love collections of short stories that give readers a glimpse into the 'daily lives' of favorite characters. This collection of 25 shorts featuring Jimmy Poe and Boss Cold gives us that glimpse and so much more - from squeee moments where Cold is so loveable to all-out kinky smexiness (OMG to how hawt story 17 is!) Hilarity ensues in many of Jimmy's dreams and daydreams; one such scene in story 9: "he tasted...fish?" ROFL!
My favorite was the 25th story where we are privy to and assured of Cold's possessiveness. Swoon! (FYI - I had heart palpitations during story 7 until the end.)

Terrific sexy stories

The heat between these two men is almost hot enough to melt my tablet. The love between them melts my heart. This book is a series of snapshots into the continuing lives of Jimmy and Boss Cold. All of them revolve around sex but, like the novels in this series, there is so much more to their relationship than that. If you like reading m/m love stories that contain a true Dom/sub relationship then I cannot recommend this series highly enough. I love it.
