Ethereality is the first poetry chapbook by globally published poet and author, Libby L. Taylor. Poems featured have been published in a range of literary journals across the world.
Thought I'd go ahead and give my book 5 stars because I LOVE my first book! Poems included in this little poetry chapbook have been written during the past two years of my university course.
Most of the poems here have been published in literary journals and magazines across the world, but there are also some never-seen-before musings of mine that have been tucked away on a file of my laptop.
Not too many trigger warnings to mention BUT some poems explore: grief, loneliness, and one poem does explore the black lives matter protests with little detail of the murder of George Floyd. There is no graphic details though, all of this things are just mentioned. Some poems on the light-hearted side explore, love, wildlife, and pets!
Thank you to everyone who reads this book, it honestly means so much - it's the first book of what I hope is many to come, so keep an eye on this space ;)
Please leave any reviews and/or ratings here, good or bad, I'd love to read what you guys think!! Any feedback is good feedback!
I hope you enjoy my first poetry chapbook, and book, Ethereality.
I thought the poems in Ethereality were amazing! The topics discussed were beautifully written and well put. Longing to Belong was definitely my favourite and I think a lot of young people can relate to it. The Old Man and His Memories was also a fantastic piece amongst wonderful work. I think people of all ages can relate to not only this poem, but all of the poetry Libby has written. I would highly recommend this book to someone who wants to have a quick read with a coffee or tea and be left impacted with how they see the world, and appreciating life more. 5 stars!
I am OBSESSED with this collection of poems. Each one hitting the perfect spot in my heart. I’m pretty damn in love with them to be honest. The perfect collection of heart-warming, understandable poems that will stay with you long after you’ve read them. ‘14th July’ is a beautifully written poem that hits hard, encouraging you to appreciate those you have around you whilst you still can. There was not one poem I didn’t like. Watch this space, I think Libby Taylor will be a big name soon.
