What was she thinking? Did she feel the electricity when we kissed, when my lips massaged hers open and our tongues danced? “I thought I was dreaming.” She murmered.
The silence was deafening. “You were dreaming about me?”
“Yeah.” She whispered. “I know I shouldn’t..."

Thank you to Allison and to Booksprout for yet another ARC. I feel so lucky to read for free.
This book is about a woman falling for her best friend's older brother.
What worked for me: -at 49% into the book, we get our first (and ONLY) steamy scene. I could have used more detail but I am glad it was there. -the writing was free from any obvious editing mistakes
What did not work for me: -after Olivia is rescued, she's remarkably calm and seemingly pain free. I would be screaming, lol! -I felt no romantic connection between the characters until it was vaguely mentioned at 32% -the pace was to fast for me, even for a novella -Liv and Jace's affection for each other was shallow and unbelievable
Trigger warning: N/A

I enjoyed this short novella and read it in less than an hour. Perfect for lunch hour or Doctor visits. Olivia and Jace are friends as she is the best friend to his sister. A nature hike brings them closer together when he saves her from a nasty fall. Some steam,a few twists and an enjoyable quick read. I read an arc and voluntarily chose to review.
When his sister backs out of a weekend backpacking trip in Zion National Park, Jace and his sister's best friend Olivia decide to go together. When things turn deadly, Jace must race to save Olivia’s life. Although there is no initial indication of any romantic feelings between them, the incident brings them closer together. I mean, very close! Short read with great potential, but seems to run out of steam in the end, leaving the reader to use their imagination on how Liv and Jace reach their happy end.
This story was sweet but left out the middle. Jace and Olivia were hiking in the woods. Jake, just hiking and Olivia taking pictures (she was a wildlife photograher). She falls out of a tree and down a cliff, breaking her ankle. Jace has gone ahead and didn't realize she had fallen. He, of course, rescues her and they hobble back to the camp. The story had some hot sex and revealing of feelings. Allison LaFleur writes realistic romance and characters. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
I knew that it was a Novella, but I thought it would have some substance and perhaps be the prelude to a greater story. Unfortunately that was not the case. Two pages do not a chapter make! It left me feeling unsatisfied and wondering if I could have spend my time in a more useful and productive way.

This is a cute and sweet story! Finding love in a time of injury! I really enjoyed Jace and Olivia's story! It's a quick read that shows that thing sometimes happen for a reason. Without the accident would they had gotten together? I really loved this story!! It's well written, especially for the length.
I love reading best friend/older brother books and this book by Allison LaFleur was great. Jace was supposed to go on a hike with his sister but she cancels so instead he is joined by her best friend Olivia, a photographer. Things go well until Olivia falls off a cliff and gets injured. Of course Jace is able to rescue her. This only brings them closer. Quick read with a happy ending!

I received a free copy of this book however all thoughts and opinions are 100% my own. I loved this! It grabbed me from the first page, kept me til the last and enthralled me in between. Well worth your time to read it.
Captivating sweet novella romance storyline, engaging chemistry with the characters. A well-written book would have liked more to the story. I liked reading it. It was a pleasured to read and review it.
Liked the storyline! Olivia and Jack make a great team together. Just wish the ending was stronger. I wanted a true HEA....a proposal, a ring. An epilogue showing them getting married somewhere exotic where they could hike and take photos. Just a bit disappointed.
I voluntarily reviewed an arc of this book. This is a really enjoyable book by Allison LaFleur. It’s a really good, well written book with a great, entertaining storyline that kept me glued till the end. This is a really enjoyable, entertaining, must read book
Jace and Olivia are on a hike when she falls one thing leads to another and they become a couple, but what happens to that last picture she took before she fell
This is my first book to read by Allison Lafleur and I enjoyed it. This book is about Olivia and Jace. They go hiking in Zion National Park and Olivia, a photography, is injured. Jace ends up rescuing her. This is a really quick read about what happens.
She's a professional photographer and he's her best friend's brother, the CEO of a hospital system. They go for a hike after his sister pulls out and she falls off the cliff and breaks her ankle. There is some hot scenes, but a lot is left out of the middle of the story that you have to use your imagination for how the story leads to its good ending.
