Marbella by Pankaj Saini is the second book in the series Music Men that revolves around the powerful character of Marbella, a female superhero. The book brings out her enigmatic personality while our Badoga struggles to find his purpose in life. Amidst their respective journeys, we stumble upon werewolves, mythological characters, some scientific descriptions, adventure, and a lot of fun and entertainment.

I remember reading volume 1, Badoga, in 2019. The series adeptly forays in the less frequently charted territories of fantasy fiction in India. Marbella attempts to answer some pertinent questions such as why these superheroes get the name - Music Men! It travels from Bengaluru to as far and wide as Prague for our two characters - Badoga and Marbella - to have a fun break. However, this break has something in store for our Sartaj (aka Badoga) who'd soon fall in love with a vampire and fight wolves! What happens thereafter is for you to discover in the book.

The second volume comes as a pleasant surprise as the author blended mythology, science, and contemporary setting (political, social, and cultural). Not to mention, this combination worked for me for I found myself thoroughly enjoying this book. I loved how it started right where it left in book 1 and continued to bring in a good dose of fun. The fact that Badoga is guided by Morrhen, God as they call him, is interesting in the way both of them connect in his mind. Moreover, I loved the well fleshed out characters and the overall narration of the story.

What I didn't like about the book was its length that I believe could have been trimmed to create a better impact on the readers. Some descriptions and conversations appeared dragged. Also, I was looking forward to getting a better insight into Marbella's character, since she's our cover a title girl. Maybe, it's just me but I probably wanted more! Apart from this, the book turned out to be an engrossing reading experience for me.

.

I have always been hesitant to explore fantasy fiction but even more so when it is written by an Indian author. But I remember reading Saini's first book which portrayed a superhero set in India, more so in my beloved Bangalore. The story was unique as was the protagonist and when I was done reading Badoga (title), I was left curious to know where the second book will take him. A year later, Saini produced the sequel but this time, the story mostly revolved around a woman. This very act piqued my interest for women superheroes are too rare to come by, especially in India. Marbella, is a woman of enigmatic personality, probably why people don't end up instantly liking her. But there's more to her than her no-nonsense attitude and this book tells us all about it.
.

Marbella is the daughter of Thor, so you may find a few references to him in the novel. Contrary to the first book which was solely set in India, this one takes the readers on a trip to Prague, the beauty of which is explained in detail. Badoga, the hero of the story embarks on a journey with Marbella and in this manner ends up learning more about her. Perhaps it's her age or just strength, she is confident in everything that she does which also includes an action scene with werewolves. As you read along, you'll notice a myriad of mythological concepts in the story. Badoga, in his quest to know about his purpose has to pass a series of tests set by the higher power and Marbella acts as his mentor. Since the very character of Badoga falls in line with Music Men, there's a good involvement of music in both the books. Saini has smartly nudged Marbella to the spotlight but has also managed to keep Badoga at an arm's length. Their stories are adventurous, thrilling and at times even exotic.
.

However, I did feel that the story was heavy what with the presence of so many mythological concepts. Vampires, werewolves, Amazonians and superheroes; it all felt a bit much. Apart from feeling one or two characters unnecessary, I also felt that few descriptions were stretched. But there's also a refinement to the narration. When the 3rd book is out, I'll definitely give it a read.

Content - Sartaj aka Badoga, one of the Music Men has now got his super powers. He can now jump from a skyscraper and land on tje ground just like a feather. He wants to bring justice and discipline all around but one misjudged act of him made a headline in his city and he has to lay low for sometimes now. With his guide angel Marbella who is the daughter of Thor and Morrhen whom Marbella referred to as GOD, Badoga went to Prague where he faced more challenges than he could imagine.
.
Read the story to know more about Badoga, Marbella and the world of Music Men.
📖
📖
My Views - This book is the second one of this series but this one can be read as a standalone though the creation of Badoga from a mere man Sartaj and how he was included in the world of Music Men and how he get to know Marbella and Morrhen and their story, these part can provoke you to pick up the first part. Apart from that, this book is a mix of fantasy and mythology where you can find superheroes, vampires, werewolves, mythological characters and many such things. The narration is very interesting and will keep you hooked till the end. The characterization is strongly done and especially the character of Marbella is strongly portrayed. The climax of the book is amazingly written and a next part is surely in the line.
.
The author has also given us a beautiful view of Prague through his writing. The language also is easy to understand.
.
Overall quite an enjoyable and interesting read.

Author - Pankaj Saini
Publisher - notion press
Genre - fantasy
Pages - 376
Format - kindle

'Marbella' is the second volume of the series 'The Music Men' by Pankaj Saini. As the title suggests the story is about the protagonist Marbella, a strong, bold and wild lady. She is the daughter of Thor. This book is narrated by Badoga the superhero of 1st volume. Badoga and Marbella both have all the natural powers.

Read the book to know -
Who is Marbella, a superhero or a goddess?

The cover of the book could have been better. The title of the book is totally apt. The plot of the story is interesting, deep and engaging. It is a perfect blend of mythology, science, fantasy. The author has perfectly narrated the story of superhero, werewolves, vampires etc. All the characters are well developed and described by the author. Marbella's character has been portrayed strongly. Language used is simple and lucid. I liked the poetry in between. The climax of the story is superb. The flow of the book is fast paced which keeps the reader hooked till the end.

Overall, an adventurous and thrilling read.

This is the part two of this series & the first one is "Bagoda" of the series.
.
This book is about Thor's daughter Marbella. A complete mixture of fantasy fiction super lady _ mythology in a very delicate manner.
.
If you think this book will revolved around problems & the super lady will solve them all by her own means you may be write some parts.
.
This book is many more that as it has some parts containing about norse mythology. Norse mythology the body of myths of the North Germanic peoples.
.
But the inclusion of vampires in the plot really create the difference. For me it acted as the game changer to make the plot more interesting.
.
The role of magical men & their special appearance in the story gave it a punch to make it a lucid read.
.
To know more about it grab it & read it.

👉A nice cover carrying forward the Bagoda book cover with the bottle theme in a night attract reader's eyes towards it.
👉A wonderful mixed genre plot of fantasy mythology and superpowers.
👉 Writing style is appealing as author beautifully knitted so many things in such a simpler manner.
👉 Language is moderate I guess but very much connectable & relatable.
👉The characterization is bang on. It simply enhancing its beauty.
👉 Narration is good with a slow to moderately paced plot.
👉The only negative point for me is it's size. More than 300 pages book is little bit tedious to read.

The book blends mythology, fantasy into the world of music men, with Badoga narrating the story of Marbella.
The Norse mythology with a pinch of magical powers and remembrance, makes it an interesting read.

The author's art of storytelling is familiar; as it was in the first book; with a pinch of enhancement in his imagination and characterization.
The most enticing aspect of the book is the perfect commingle of music in the narration, almost making it an effortless union which keep the readers glued to the story.
The book captures the present, with cultural and political references being immersed in the same.

The characterization complements the narration, also the narration is concentrated around the characters, both delightfully introducing us to Marbella.

Marbella is the second part of the Music men series. This can also be read as a standalone novel.

Badoga the protagonist of the music men volume 1,He narrates the story of Marbella.

Marbella is the Daughter of Thor.Hence you can predict how powerful she might be.As the story progresses you will see how the author blends fantasy with mythology.

I got to know a friend that the first part of the series is solely set in India whereas this one is is a blend of India and the western world .

With excellent narrative skills and an interestingly weaved plot ,the author has made this book a page turner.

I am planning to read volume 1 of this series. This book is worth the time you put into it.

But let me say at the outset; this is a tale about the Gods and the Devil and everything in between. If your beliefs are challenged, feel free to drop out. Either way, your choice is not going to alter the fate of this planet."
The story of mystery, fear, life, mythology etc that woven in a perfect way as possible.
This is a great work that worth reading. I read it and the words were really captive. Sartaj aka Badoga narrates his experience throughout the story.
Is Badoga a he a normal human who slipped into somewhere supernatural like Alice.?
Here the reader will be searching for Marbella.
Marbella the title character is characterised in a special way that the reader would never forget. She is 120 years old.!!
Is she a witch or immortal. Or a simple human who got a long life span.?
And who is the music men.?
Is there only male?
What is there role in Marbella.?
The other thing I noticed is the notes provided in the back. That's very useful for non Indian and Indian readers who are not aware of mythology.

He is a super hero we need but don't deserve - from The Dark Knight

I wish I could give more than 5 stars to this book. I really wish!

Marbella is the second book in the series of Music Men. I had the chance in 2020 to read Badoga which is the first book in the series. I was new to fantasy when I read Badoga and I was oblivious of the existence of any genre like this let alone explore it widely.

While reading this book, I laughed, sympathized with some characters, learned new things and got a new perspective of a thing or two.

The biggest revelation that happened while reading this book was my interest in superheroes. I haven't grown up watching superhero movies and don't prefer even today but this book engrossed me so much until the very end of it. What was more surprising is that the book has talked about some mythological elements which again kept me seated. Until the end. Fully immersed. I have always been sceptical about reading mythological genre or reading anything related to it because of my atheism BUT the topics I discovered in this book and more than that, the perspective, that has aligned with my thinking somewhere, made me fall for this book.

The book starts from the point where Badoga aka Sartaj has superpowers. To know about Badoga, you need to read the first book. Go. Do that.

Badoga has so many questions about his powers, about Marbella and Music Men in general. As the book is of 371 pages, there is a lot to explore and any caption will fall short to describe the complete plot. Badoga meets with other Music Men and he finds ou things which completely shakes his belief system. He even meets a vampire, what else can a "human" in him digest? But wait, is he not a human being? After getting superpowers, is he one of "them"?

Badoga joins Marbella to visit Prague and oh my, what a wonderfully woven tale is that? I just loved how enticingly the author has described every detail of Prague, makes me want to visit soon. This is the thing about travelling, it changes you, always. Badoga encounters so much there and so much gets unveil but will he accept it or will he have more questions lined up?

The book also has Morrhen in it, to whom people call God. Morrhen talks to Badoga in his mind but they haven't met yet in person. It frustrates Badoga that how much is still hidden from him and how much time it will take for him to become like "them". He feels like a kid among all these people.

I don't know if Music Men is going to be a trilogy or series as this is only the second book which ends with a cliffhanger, giving a teaser for the third book but I am so enthusiastic to read the third book and I am waiting for it eagerly.

Now let's talk about the details, shall we? The writing style is not casual and lucid which makes it difficult for beginners to grab this book but the good news is that the language is brilliant and has a rich vocabulary which I am sure, will interest all the people who love reading literary work or people who prefer reading detailed novels.

Everything has negatives and positives, right? If I talk about this book, everything is great and brilliant but the chapters are too long. Sometimes one chapter takes almost 50 pages to get done. A disappointment! Since I was so engrossed in this book, it was so difficult to leave the book before I finish with the particular chapter and on the other side, reading 40-50 pages in one go is too much. The book is too much interesting that it doesn't let you go. Now, you decide if it's a bad sign or a good? For me, it's a good one but I would have loved if chapters were quite short but anyway, I loved this book the way it is. Highly recommended.

Marbella is an amalgamation of superhuman and mythical characters coupled with fast paced action sequences, intense passion, and intriguing historical retellings.

Marbella is the second book in the Music Men Volume, the first one being Badoga- a delightful read; and the third book Morrhen is upcoming.

This is a superhero tale about the enigmatic daughter of Thor, with subplots involving other interesting characters from the Norse Mythology, and the Devil, Countess Dracula and her clan of vampires, werewolves, the Amazonians, the Vikings, and ancient humans.
Set partly in India and partly Europe, the story takes off right from where Badoga ends. The vacation to Prague is filled with interesting historical, political and cultural nuggets of information. They speak of the in depth research skills of the author. There is ample high paced action in form of thrilling sky fights, one-on-one combats, and ferocious animal attacks. The story, narrated from Sartaj aka Badoga's point of view, is conversational and humorous.

The length of the book is the only discredit the story possesses, which could easily be shortened by a few hundred pages. There were times when Badoga stole the limelight from Marbella and I wanted it back on her.

Lastly, no review of the Music Men series is complete without mentioning the delightful playlist that the author presents to the readers interspersed in between the lines. The book has no content list or chapter title but has a series of short addresses to the readers from Badoga. There are also some expressive illustrations in the book; These qualities lend considerable
potential for a great comic book hidden within the book.

Readers will laugh out loud at the antics Sartaj experiences on a daily basis, as he pulls back the curtain on what a life filled to the brim with superhumans look like. From the curious scenes we catch Marbella in, to the insightful conversations Badoga has with Countess Dracula, to the unimaginable dangers the protagonists are faced with, this witty and adventurous superhero tale is a celebration of the female superhero in the Indian story-scape.
Recommended to all lovers of superhero comics!

Book review: Marbella – Music Men Part II
Author – Pankaj Saini
Publisher – Notion Press
.
My fondness and affinity for classic rock goes a long way. Though I don’t belong to that generation, I grew up listening to Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, The Rolling Stones, Black Sabbath and The Doors just to name a few. Their music is legendary, unsurpassed and unmatched. It’s extremely challenging to describe and express in words the effect this kind of music has on a listener, it’s piquant in a way; like hot pepper sauce that burns and stimulates the erstwhile insipid and bland flavors.
.
I was pleasantly surprised and intrigued by MARBELLA–MUSIC MEN II, where the author braids an intriguing and fascinating account, bespoke of Gods from Norse Mythology. He weaves an enigmatic and a saucy tale of magic, myths, superpowers, vampires and werewolves, not to forget the captivating and enthralling lyrics by Led Zep interspersed with a smooth narrative that unflinchingly takes the riveting musical prose forward.
.
I love stories that speak of magic and dominion as they verbalize an uncanny sense of predisposition towards mythical Gods, their epiphanies, tirades, downfall & decline. The plot is unpredictable, laudable and very picturesque. It immediately transports you to the realm of Music Men.
.
Let’s meet Marbella, one of our main protagonist, daughter of Thor, possessor of magic and powers of great magnitude however kryptonite's always lurking in the corner to pulverize those mighty powers. Then there’s Badoga who gradually discovers the potency and efficaciousness of power that resides within him. The author spins a yarn of self-discovery for our superhero Badoga, fueled with a purpose by making him traverse places unknown to mankind, jump from cliffs, fight with tigers, werewolves and vampires.
.
I enjoyed reading this book with an exception of few chapters in the beginning however, it gained momentum when the story unveils a series of events in Prague. If you love fantasy, give it a go!

First and foremost, I thank the author for giving me an opportunity to review his second work of fiction, which is a sequel to the first volume of the Music Men series.
Hands down, Marbella is a marked improvement over its predecessor, in terms of storytelling and writing. While the first volume was obsessed with its male “Hariyanvi” protagonist, book two looks at another character associated with Badoga - Marbella. The daughter of (*drums rolling*) the Norse god of Thunder, Thor (yes, I was surprised too), Marbella is bestowed with the fascinating power of summoning thunder with a snap (surprise suprise!) of her fingers, which is already spoilt in the book cover. Just kidding. Although I did enjoy reading Marbella more than the first book, the plot structure seemed a tad bit weak.
The first reason I enjoyed reading Marbella is the manner in which the writing has improved manifold. The pop-culture references throughout the book is neither overwhelming nor too less; it was “perfectly balanced, as all things should be” (okay, I will stop with the MCU references for now.) Secondly, the writing style seems more mature with better vocabulary, thus strengthening the narration to a great extent. Most importantly, it was really interesting how the author was able to bring together various characters from different literary texts and pantheons to weave a superhero fiction with a spectacularly built cliffhanger.
While Marbella did its best to undo the errors in Badoga, the plot structure of this sequel was not properly organised. The transition from one particular setting or incident to another seemed to fluctuate in terms of pace and nature. In some parts of the book, the pace seemed either too languid or too quick to comprehend.

Yet, Marbella was no doubt an intriguing and enjoyable read for me. I convey my best wishes to the author for his future endeavours.

#INSIGHT: Marbella is the second volume of Music Men written by Mr. Pankaj Saini. As the name suggests the book is about Marbella and her past. The book also covers how Badoga is managing the new responsibilities of a Music Man. You will also find the devil's introduction in the book.

#REVIEW: Marbella surprises with respect to the writing style and the twists and turns of the story. However, there were certain things that could have been better. Since I haven't read Volume 1, it was a bit difficult for me to understand the series of events for the first few pages. Having said that the book can be read individually. All the best to the author for his future endeavours.

#STRENGTH: The language is strong. The cover page intrigues the reader. The book transports you to a whole new world of fantasies. The story is built around the characters of the iconic superhero series which make it all the more interesting. The songs have been correctly placed. The story has a required rhythm to it.

#WEAKNESS: The title of the book was not justified as the book was more about Badoga and he was the narrator of the story. No doubt there were revelations about Marbella's life but the whole book was not about her. I felt that the events described in the book were too detailed and unnecessary. The book is too lengthy. Also, the shift from one event to another was very instant and there was no distinct bifurcation between two lines of thoughts.

#TARGET READERS: People who are inclined towards superhero fantasies can find this book interesting.

#AGE GROUP: 15-25 years of age

#GENRE: Fiction- Superhero Fantasy

"No, I have not killed any humans! ", she said, " But I wish to! "

Book Recommendation & Appreciation right here.
How many times have you recommended a self published book by an Indian author?
For anyone who has read the first volume, Marbella is an improvisation on the writing, where Badoga grows as a character and Marbella owns the show.

The lyrical stanzas befit each scene which @pankajsaini1187 carries with ample lustre and fantastical imagination. Vampires, nightmares, references of Batman and comical entries, a reader like me can vividly live with a gusto of information presented through a story like no other.

If Marbella was a real girl she would be in the 'too cool to be true' gang. This text is a very good compilation of eccentricities and magic. Apart from my irks for not finishing this book earlier, I took my time with it and it's been a while that I did so and didn't regret it. I love how the author writes to wire his knowledge in a constrained space, never losing his element of surprise and carrying a good ol' story forward.

When I reached page 370, I was accustomed for a sneak peek into the volume 3:Morrhen and my heart skipped a beat. Lit and longing is the mood of this reading season. If you want to learn how a writer betters his art, read both the volumes, I found an originality which stuck with me from the first book. I was NOT in it for the plot but the subplots. Nothing seemed to drag and I thoroughly enjoyed reading Marbella, more so with Badoga narrating her fate.

Everybody knows it's coming apart

Marbella: Music Men Volume II is a fantasy fiction written by Pankaj Saini. The main protagonist of the book is Marbella, the daughter of the Thor. Now, this is the second book in this series and I have read this one first. But I got certain idea about Badoga, the male protagonist of the story. Now this is the story of these two people travelling and doing different adventures with their thrilling actions. It contains many things bundled in one- Werewolves, Vampires and what not. To get the whole story, you have to read the book.

The cover page of the book is simple with Marbella illustrated on it. The title is appropriate to the plot of the book. I felt like the plot of the book consists many different elements bundled in one. It is very difficult to arrange all these textures in one book. I think too many elements are also not compatible with each other, so I think 1-2 elements would have been okay with the plot.

The character portrayed in the book is done very well. Marbella is portrayed very strong and fierce woman facing everything with hardwork. The action and thrilling adventures are written quite well with every scene well explained. The language of the book is simple and understandable with quite a nice wordplay.

The narration of the book is very lucid with every scene and background description done nicely. I'll certainly read the first book and wait for the upcoming book. Overall, it is an average book for me and it is recommended to all the fantasy lovers.

At first when I got this book I have a little bit worry that would I be able to understand volume 2 without reading volume one Badoga . After reading few pages I started enjoying this book . So I recommend this book to all whether you have read first part Badoga or not this would amaze you.

The story is about Marbella . She is the protagonist of this story. And as you could see it has been the name of the book as well and it’s well justified by the author by describing her character in various ways throughout the book .

Marbella is daughter of Thor .on hearing this name we all would be much excited and in this book author has written regarding Greek mythology too .The author has given importance to both characters as well . Also the narration of certain events like actions and adventures also it include vampire werewolf Dracula etc .

Story is in Prague capital of Czech Republic . Author has also given his beautiful description in explaining the places also . Another thing which I am impressed is author is able to write the emotions beautifully.

The way the climax of the book is written is amazing and the language is very simple too

I am eagerly waiting for next part and the author have given a glimpse for that too in the book .

One of the first TV shows I ever watched is Smallville. It’s the backstory of how teenager Clark Kent aka Superman learned to control his powers and became a superhero. It's filled with humor, mythology, action, etc. My mind wandered off to this TV show when I read this book. Both are similar in so many ways. The main character finds out he has powers of extraordinary lengths and learns to live with it, and tries to find the mystery surrounding the power. Books that have a superhero element written by Indian authors are hard to find.
Frankly, to say, I had my doubts about whether it would be any good before reading as this is the first time I am reading a book of this genre by an Indian author, but now after reading it, I can say without a doubt that this book is fantastic. The author has managed to make this book very interesting for us readers.
Though this is the second book in the Music Men series by the author, I read this one first. Now, after reading this, I am intrigued to read the first part to get a complete picture of the culture and myth surrounding the plotline.
So, if you are interested in a book like this, I would very much recommend this one.

♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪

🍁 'Marbella: Music Men Volume II' is the second book of the author Pankaj Saini. It's a fantasy fiction and the second book in the Music Men series. I was amused to read the superhero fantasy fiction book.

🍁The writing style of the author is eloquent, the author proceeds the story very seamlessly through different timelines, and through the past and present life of the lead character in the book. It's very exciting to read the book, it's definitely a PAGE-TURNER, as it keeps you hooked till the end. The plot is very gripping and the storyline of the book is very distinctive. It can be a bit longer as it has 300+ pages but you'll definitely not regret reading it.

🍁The illustration of Marbella with a bottle similar to a liquor bottle on the cover page is very captivating and there are also pictorial representations in the book. The cover does a wonderful job of grabbing the attention of people.

🍁Overall it's a stunning read. Definitely pick it up if you are someone who loves to read Superheros stories.

Marbella is the daughter of Thor. She is helping God. She has been living for than 1400+ years. Now in 2020, she is in the body of Ranjana and helping Satraj to control his powers as he is one of them, not a human. They have selected him for a mission. The sorry revolves around the Badoga trying to know and control his powers and know the past, histories from Marbella. Marbella answers few and Morren answers few. Some questions are unanswered and some secrets are unknown which make you close book only after completing it. In this, we can hear about Odin, Thor and some greek mythology Gods described as part of the story.

The trace to Prague was interesting and narrated like a travelogue with famous places and their description. Marbella and Sartaj went there to meet Vampires and her head Dracula. There are a lot of interesting adventures after that. It was really interesting to read and was written in simple English which helped me to read in right place and flow with the story.

Marbella : Music Men Volume II is a sequel of Badoga : Music Men Volume I. The characters of this series are as sketchy as Avengers and Justice League or even X-Man.

The first book was based on Badoga aka Sartaj who finds himself with all the natural powers that are within the reach of a normal human. This second book is about another creature who isn’t a sapien but has super natural powers.

The story takes us to the past of who Music Men really are and how their journey started and since how long have they been walking on the surface of the Earth.

The story was again lacking the power which was portrayed to this super beings however the only thing that kept me going was that the grasp of language of the Author had improved manifold.

If you love reading norse mythology, you will be able to connect the dots in here somewhere as well as if you are into super-beings, this can be your go to book when you want to read a light story.

Marbella: Music Men Volume II' is the second book of the author Pankaj Saini. It's a fantasy fiction with Mythology mixed..

Its fantasy mixed with Mythology..
As I'm super into Norse mythology it was a quiet interesting read for me..

The writing style of the author is lucid.. the story is seamlessly put through different timelines and through the past and present life of the protagonist in the book...

The plot is very gripping and the storyline of the book is very distinctive.. it's definitely a page turner.. as it keeps you hooked till the end.

Things I didn't liked-
The cover of the book does not tell us much about the book. It could have been more attractive...
a bit lengthy as it has 300+ pages..

Overall I won't definitely recommend you to give it a shot if you are beginner..

Happy Reading...

Review Marbella, Music Men Volume 2 @pankajsaini1187 @notion.press

The central character Badoga Aka Sartaj has superpowers, who is mentored by Marbella. She helps him understand the history of the music men, guides him, helps in upskilling his powers. Marbella is his torch guide on his journey as a superhero.

He leverages his superpowers, acts as a vigilante in the cosmopolitan city - Bangalore, fighting for justice in his own way.

But, as he delves deep into music men, interaction with others who protect the humankind, and various incidences he encounters during his trip to Europe, he starts to question more. He has suspicious if he can trust Marbella? If there is a God in Morrhen, who does good, who is the devil who counteracts him?

#qotd: What is the superpower that you would love to posses?

In his latest offering, Pankaj has beautifully woven together mythology, fantasy, superhero fiction, and folklore to create this insane world of Music Men. The author manages to keep it fun and pacy read like the first part. The plot solidifies in the second volume; getting deeper into the world of Music Men.
Love the way music is intertwined in the narration, verses carefully chosen to match the tempo of the book; makes you hum the song while you read. Set in the backdrop of Urban Bangalore and Prague; Pankaj does a good job in capturing the nuances, conversations, and lifestyle of the cities.
Had fun reading this book, eagerly waiting for the third volume. Would definitely recommend this book!

This is the 2nd book in the series and it is narrated by Badoga who we all know from 1st book and he is narrating the story of Marbella who is the daughter of Thor.
.
I was already familiar with the backdrop and the writing but this book gets better than the 1st and definitely more intriguing. I am not a fan of fantasy world but I enjoyed reading it. This also has werewolves in it with a blend of mythology, fantasy.
.
Pace could have a bit fast. Language like the last one is good. Narration is great with great characters especially a strong female lead. Now I am all the more ready for 3rd book.

Marbella: Music Men Volume II is the second part of Badoga: Music Men Volume.
The first sequel of the book is about the Badoga who has super powers.

In this book, Badoga is narrating the story of a brave lady Marbella who is the daughter of Thor.
The story is about the adventure and thrilling Journey of Music Men.

My Views:
The title and the cover are apt to the book.
The story is the blend of mythology and fantasy.
The book is full of adventure and thriller.
The characterization and narration of the book are good
The author has also included Werewolves and Vampires in the plot of the story.
The book is too lengthy.
Overall a good one time read book.

the second book from the Music men series, Marbella is a cross-genre book where greek mythology intertwines with magical elements and music effortlessly. since I didn't read the first book I am considering this more as a standalone novel and by doing that it didn't dishearten me. Our main lead is Marbella who is the daughter of Thor (umm yes, you read it right), unravels different superpowers with our narrator Bagoda into a series of face pacing events. the flow of the book is so smooth and easy that it kept me in a loop till the end. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and will pick up the first one pretty soon.

This book is fun, engaging and easy to read. Definitely a good way to spend one's weekend.
I particularly enjoyed the action scenes, and the way sudden twists in the story were slipped in so casually. I also enjoyed the trip to Prague.
My favorite part of the book is that it is well paced and doesn't allow you to get bored even when the story has slowed and not much is going on.
I'm impressed by the use of lyrics of some of the greatest rock band songs in the appropriate situation.
Even though the ending left me confused, I am assured that my questions will be answered in the next part of this series. Eagerly waiting for it.

Book Name: Marbella
Author: Pankaj Saini
Rating: 4 stars
Pages: 384
Edition: Kindle

Marbella is a story about the daughter of Thor. It is a work of fiction that bears reference to some part of Norse Mythology. Even vampires and werewolves have been included. There is also a reference to Wonder Woman.
The author’s narrative style is great. The story flows smoothly but goes very deep. There are a lot of revelations as you go further into the mystery. Each answer leads to another question. This novel totally grabbed my attention.
The cover of the book does not tell us much about the book. It could have been more attractive.
Although the name of the book is Marbella it is narrated by Badoga who talks about his own life. The book is more about Badoga than it is about Marbella.
The book is recommended for those who enjoy fantasy and fiction.

Marbella is the second part of the Music Men series by Pankaj Saini.

Last year I read the book 1 but I can now definitely say it loud that this book is better that the that.

As the title suggests ,the story is about strong and fierce Marbella. She is the daughter of Thor. And Badoga is the narrator here.
Comparatively this second volume is fast-paced enough and writing style is overall same. Easy and perfect for beginners.

One thing ,I think could have been better is the cover. Otherwise it'll be good for readers out there who are starting their reading journey .
