The stolen droid from Verberger has awakened, and former space marine Gina Wilcox suddenly finds herself babysitting a childlike young woman who has no idea she's not human. Why, then, does the corporation want her back so badly?
In darkest space, the Captain of a giant zodiac vessel dies and throws the ship into default mode just as his crew mutinies. An SOS reaches Counterforce One where Commander Hamilton Wolf leads his team with some newcomers on a rescue mission.
Don't miss the fifth installment in this action-packed space opera series!
In this fifth installment of the Agents of Planetary Republic the Agency Of Justice leadership are dealing with a new droid that doesn't realize she's a droid. Lots of big questions about sentience and what it means. Meanwhile, across the galaxy another very human like droid and her team encounter an ancient ship that is now idle since the captain, who is wired in to control the ship, has passed away Here we dive into the mini-civilizations that have developed in this isolated environment.
This is another great read from Jaxon Reed. His writing is engaging an entertaining. The universe that he has developed is continually expanding and always leave me on the edge of my seat. I can't wait for the next installment.

Our heroine's problems keep getting bigger and solutions are seem no closer. It's time to bring out the big guns.
This is book five of the series, but it does well as a standalone. All the essential bits are explained early on.
This is a SF action story. The story is well written, easy to read with a fast paced action plot that grabbed me at the start and didn't let go. The setting is well developed and keeps growing with each book. The characters are also excellent, particularly our heroine. I like strong female leads and our heroine definitely counts. There continues to be lots of twists and turns so that I never know what is coming next. Overall, a highly enjoyable story and I look forward to more in the series.
Highly recommended

The gang is back for another fun filled adventure. The plans seem to be easy and straight forward this time around as a simple babysitting job and a rescue. But if course things go sideways and trouble abounds. I was entertained and had fun seeing what Wilcox had to put up with and survive this time. The characters were as fun as expected and the situations a blast and I enjoyed it all. Just another fun entertaining read in this series.
Clarion Protocol is the fifth book in the Agents of the Planetary Republic series. In this book, the plot mainly centers around a droid who doesn't know she's a droid, and around the Counterforce One team. They have to rescue people on a Zodiac ship. The captain of the ship died after he reached the maximum age humans can become. The first mate should become the new captain, but not everyone agrees and a mutiny starts. I really liked the idea of these plots. The characters and the interactions they have were very fun and the action in this book was epic once again. I'm looking forward to read the next book in the series.

New assets are mobilized. A new target is located. Several teams move. I love this military agent series and I will definitely read the next one in the series.
A middle book is always a bit if a challenge in that by itself it leaves you hanging with a lot unresolved.lot , but this had some interesting characters and adventure to it.
