Aspiring Intentions

Fourth generation doctor Maxwell Scott is St. Vincent’s top heart surgeon who goes to work every day, remembering how he botched a surgery last year. Guilt-ridden and facing his family’s disappointment, Max must figure out a way to get his confidence back, asking himself the question of whether or not he can still cut it in the medical field. On the verge of hitting rock bottom, things changed when his new nurse Lola Lozano starts at the hospital.

Lola is a small-town girl from upstate New York who always dreamed of living the nurse’s life in the Big Apple. When she’s offered the opportunity by Dr. Scott’s friend, she upends her life and moves to New York to start her dream gig. She soon finds out that New York City is nothing like the movies, and life isn’t all that glamorous, nor is the hospital as down to earth as she had imagined.

Second-guessing her decision, she then meets the famed Dr. Scott, who takes her breath away. The two can’t deny their chemistry and fight the urge to be together. With Dr. Scott overworked, and Lola too shy to push the envelope, things seem destined to go nowhere. Will life keep these two apart, or are they destined to be together?

Disappointing. Felt like it was the first chapter of a story, not an entire book. There wasn't any plot resolved, just scenario build up and the first plot point. Could've been epic, but just sad.

DNF. Sorry, bad proof editing. I was at 43% and still get to any kind of story. All over the place. Disappointed as some of her stuff I’ve read and liked.
