3 1/2 stars. This book is nice, but not quite as good as I thought it might be. The illustrations are lovely, but the information is presented in dense paragraphs that may fail to engage young readers.
Still, some children who are into plants will learn something, so I would recommend borrowing this from a school or public library rather than buying it for a home library.
