Celebrating Halloween is no crime, but to this alien grump, it is if it gets in the way of his work!
When his last employee quits on the spot, everything Daegry holds dear is put on the line. His home, his land and his precious gourd farming business. Acclaimed across the Galaxies or not, harvesting season is upon him and unfortunately for Daegry, he has far too much land to work alone, not to mention there's a vexing human interfering with his phones.
Fired from her job weeks before Halloween, Willa worries if she'll ever be able to pay the rent, or worse, decorate her home for what is clearly the best holiday of the year. But all is not lost. A job posting for Gary's Gourds catches her eye. She's never worked on a farm before, but that's no deterrent. What she does find deterring, however, is the imposing male in charge of the business. He's tall, he's grouchy, and he's downright furious that she keeps interrupting his day.

The perfect stress relief
What an amazing story! The author pitted the perpetual grump against the glass is always half full personality and they both came out winners. Be warned, this book is going to make you snort, giggle and outright laugh before the best HEA I’ve read in a long time. I love how these two just seemed to mesh, no matter how different they were, and how the only bad guys are bad bosses. The author captured my attention and my imagination with this story and I can’t wait to see what she comes up with next.

This is a well written book which has fated mates and a happily ever after ending. Willa desperately needs a job after she gets fired from a temp job at her favourite Halloween shop, she even tries ring a pumpkin farm to see if there are any jobs but is shouted at by the person on the other end. Daegry is a very grumpy alien who owns a pumpkin farm. When all his last worker quits he is given one last person from the temp agency, Willa. When Daegry mistakes her for someone else, he tries everything he can to make her quit, until they both find out the truth.

Couldn’t finish this book
No, no, no. Couldn’t finish it. My first time reading this author. I will glance at other books but if they’re all like this I will move on. I couldn’t stand it. The yelling, the conniving attitudes. This book was just yelling, anger and seething. I have zero clues how this man made money. I have zero clues how this woman survives and the Larren guy just seemed very dishonest and nothing about this book was remotely funny or kept me into the story. This just wasn’t for me. For those who powered through or found it interesting awesome for you. But not all books are made for everyone’s tastes.

It's a good thing the grumpy alien is hot
Willa a is having a string of bad luck. Even though she is sweet and a hard worker she is having trouble keeping a job. Enter Daegry and his gourd farm. Daegry is so grumpy and rude he can't keep workers. When the two come together it is definitely not Insta love but they do finally get there. Once they do it is hot, hot, hot. Throw in a sweet HEA and you have a good story.

awful just awful. A insult for intelligent readers. If you are looking for a intelligent story, interesting characters, a storyline and maybe a nice love story, THIS is NOT for you. Deserves not even 1 star. If there would be minus stars I would give this a 10 star minus. Absolute rubbish.
You have a alien living incognito on a farm , he is agressiv, violent, mean, angry, irrational, paranoid, tyrannical, a very nasty guy. A disgusting person that belongs into a white jacket. He fires people he needs to work on his farm or they leave... but he needs them and can not get people working for him and staying. He has some animals ( for some reason it seems they sometimes feed themself huh? for it does not make any sense if you stay in bed all day with a woman having sex you do not get up and feed them! Time does not matter for farm animals huh? yea right )
He seems to only plant Pumpkins ?? and probably is selling them to aliens for they have healing powers, so he said. But they never get harvested for he can not do it alone ...
This book is a mess. The conversations are idiotic and just dumb. The book is also boring.
He gets sent a woman to work for him, treats her like carb, has nothing better to do than make her watch the phone so it doesn`t ring... yea and has a lack of workers to harvest and feed the animals..that is how stupid he is ( stupid is an understatement ) but they somehow fall in love from one moment to the next, doesn`t make any sense at all. They end up in bed just like that. Doesn`t make any sense what so ever. Half of the book is about him being mad because someone called his phone it seems.. so very idiotic. The rest is rushed and just .. blah
She tries to sell some pumpkins and he gets all riled up because humans use them for eating and carving and want to buy his pumpkins ... Paranoid terrible guy. And she? I do not even know what to say, no person would fall like that in love with something like that. No way. Unless you also have a mental problem.
This book is a mess , you can guess how he makes his money..but the book itself is so boring, stupid and annoying.. one of the worse books I have ever seen. If you enjoy a paranoid maniac and and a lot of nonsense and have time and money to waste , this book is for you. Who doesn't love a grumpy hot hero? Add in some Halloween and oh yeah the hero is an Alien and you have a great holiday read. Daegry’s Fated tells the story of Daegry and Willa, one the epitome of the grumpy, frustrated, impetuous boss. The other is sweet, anxious and so stubborn that nothing can change her determined course of action.
Daegry needs help, his precious gourd farm needs to be worked so he can meet his inter-galactic orders, as gourds are an amazing, if temperamental, vegetable that can be used in life-saving medicine. He is running out of time and to top it all off he has a prank caller taking him away from his important work. Willa has been fired from her job weeks before Halloween, the best holiday in the year, because of what anyone in sales will empathise with - a self-entitled, irrational customer and a boss that actually believes that the customer is always right (side note: how hard is it to be nice to people in customer service? Stop being a dick people!). A series of misunderstandings and the desperation of a temp agency leads to Willa working for Daegry, who isn't happy about not only it being a woman but he also mistakes her for someone else.
This enemies-to-lover Halloween read was surprisingly amazing. They are drawn to each other from the beginning but both won’t be the first to give in and let the other know just how attracted they are. One aspect I really enjoyed was that when Daegry realized his mistake he apologized for his actions as soon as possible, there is nothing like a hero who doesn’t mind showing he is fallible. I also enjoyed how stubborn Willa is, seeing a heroine who has anxiety stand up for herself, realistically rather than suddenly growing unreasonably confident, was great to see.
Overall, a great holiday read. It is sweet rather than scary which is great for those who love halloween and aliens but don’t want thrills and chills.

Sinceramente el libro me causo bastante estrés principalmente el inicio, y no entendí como pasaron de esa atracción física a ya decirse que se aman, además de como puede soportar que la trate con esa actitud, sin dejar explicar y ser irracional y mostrar irá sin control sin saber todos los hechos, no siento que en realidad la historia tenga una trama marcada y desarrollada.
El libro es bastante corto y no se muestra muy bien la verdadera personalidad de los personajes y no se explica bien como es la naturaleza de el apareamiento en su especie.

While their beginning started off a little rough (mostly on his end with lots of misunderstandings because of his naivety) This is a short and cute Halloween romance with a hot and steamy getting together between Daegry and Willa. They even have a sorta meet cute! Also filled with misunderstandings lol

This was a fun alien romance that surprisingly took place on earth. I’ve never read one like this before but it was good. I liked both of the main characters and I thought he was really funny.
2/5 on spice. 4/5 on kink. 1/5 on tears. I truely have no idea what this man’s junk looked like, I was beyond confused but it sounded kinky.
