For 21 years, Goldsboro books has been supporting new writing and championing past and future classics in every genre. Loved by readers and writers, it has become a haven for words and stories in the bustling centre of London.
This anthology brings together fantasy worlds, dystopian visions, romance and passion, dark crime, disconcerting drama, humour, hopes and dreams in a collection of new writing that is a unique and fitting celebration of fiction in all its variety.
First Edition 21 brings together the most gripping, entertaining and moving writing with a range of brilliant stories that are both a tribute to and a reflection of the books that Goldsboro has loved since 1999.
A wonderful collection of short stories to celebrate 21 years of Goldsboro Books from top authors. A few of my favourites were M.W.Craven with A Permanent Solution, Grace by Adam Handy, Monsters by Clare Mackintosh, Key to the Door by Adele Parks, The Black Legion by Andrew Swanston, The Other Girl by C.L.Taylor, Murder Most Vial by Stuart Turton and Unbirthday by Anna James.
Wow! Now this is an anthology of short stories exactly as they should be. Some of the writers I knew, and some I didn't, and therein lies extra joy, discovering someone new to read. Every single story is a gem. That's quite a feat, whoever curated these stories (David?) did a grand job. I was impressed and entertained.
Really loved this special edition by Goldsboro books! Some of my favourite authors were included and even added some to my “to be watched list”. The book is really great and I enjoyed most of the short stories. I really can’t wait for their next edition now that I know about it and I hope some of my favourite authors will be included ( some of them, again)! Some of my favourites were Ian Rankin’s really cool introduction, Jessie Burton, M W Craven, Oyinkan Braithwaite, Ragnar Jónasson, Clare Mackintosh, CL Taylor and Stuart Turton’s! I would love to read a whole book of any of them!
An eclectic collection of short stories commissioned by the wonderful Goldsboro book shop in Covent Garden. This was a priceless read, simply because it was a one year read along with fabulous friends - an amazing and utterly enjoyable experience. Thank you!!
