Very thorough. Some parts are dry but it's highly informative about many different interacting components of US housing policy and does a good job of explaining those interactions within chapters that are siloed to specific topics and programs

Not that I ~wanted~ to read this book cover to cover but I am glad I did. I will never be able to look housing developments without thinking about the intricate web of zoning, funding, and political influence that gave rise to it.
