Ryan Mallardi, handsome private investigator, who lost his dad at 11 years old, has gotten close to Fr. Liam, an ex-cop and now surrogate father. Fr. Liam first counsels Ryan on his annulment, but also tackles his mother and girlfriend issues, which are sometimes exhausting and sometimes comical.
Fr. Liam's brother and best friend Mike finally talks his wife into moving to Ocala and the brothers are thrilled they are being reunited. In the midst of this happy family reunion, suddenly life serves up some unexpected events that change the dynamic between everyone, including Fr. Liam’s brother, sister-in-law and his niece, Colleen -- maybe even Ryan.
Through this series of changes and unfolding mystery, the tables turn for everyone and Ryan now helps Fr. Liam find his family member, keep his niece Colleen psychologically up and running, and then to obtain justice for all.
In the midst of all these changes, the Hand of Fate steps in to help both Colleen and Ryan, who have been looking for love in all the wrong places, finally find their way forward.

Well written romantic suspense that has an ensemble cast facing real life challenges. The interactions between the characters makes for very interesting reading and the faith based foundation adds grounding to the story. I am not Catholic but found the perspectives of Fr Liam to be powerful and inspiring.
The characters...you care about. There is suspense and a storyline that just draws you in (thanks for the lost sleep). Well written and great editing.
Great series......reading book 3 now. Losing sleep..........cannot stop reading!! I feel like Colleen, Ryan and Liam are family. Heavy on the Catholic side but the advice Fr Liam gives applies to anyone.
Unbelievable twists on and turns! No way you can leave this story even though you have to go on with your life. You spend your time imagining what will transpire next. But you continue to be amazed when you get back to the story. Even with the end of the story, you still feel as if you were still a part of their lives as you go about your own life.
