GrassMan

Rate this book
Donovan Shaw aka Grassman has met his match in the deliciously delightful Samara Bishop. Samara has traded her earthy, solid hard working boyfriend Julian Jackson for the internationally renowned marijuana dealer, The GrassMan, simply because financial toil and struggle is no longer an option for her.
Donovan, in an effort to ignite his libidinous fire and relieve him of his humdrum homelife with his wife and four children, indulges Sam in lavish gifts, luscious five star dinners, and international globe trotting adventures much to her delight. Their lives are filled with love, passion, and ecstasy.

But what happens when Donovan is stricken with a strange ailment, an unidentifiable syndrome that leaves him fatigued, lethargic, and discolored, his skin turning green?

What is this green skin syndrome? What is happening to him? What is the strange disease? Is there a cure? Will Samara help him restore his health? Or will she leave him like she left Julian, unwilling to face the challenges of a sick lover? The grass on this other side may be a bit too green.

I don’t think I would consider this a love story, but it is definitely a tale of life and living. Samara is young and dumb and she thinks she’s found a better thing, but has she really?!

I love the way this novella is written, it gets straight to the point and the author was super clever with all the references to grass (or maybe I read too much into it?!).

If you’ve read it, hit me up and let’s discuss it. If you haven’t read, read it and then hit me and let’s discuss it.

It seems as if Samar’s and Donovan are just settling for what they can get. Both are unhappy in their relationships with other people. I hate the way Donovan died I thought that they would be together forever, but as always life gets in the way. Great love story.

The beginning was a bit all over the place but once you push through it was an okay read. It showed how selfish and immature Samara well at least in the beginning. Seems like all she saw was the green (money) and because of that she walk away from a good dude, Julian for Donovan who was married. Kinda sorta a love story/triangle. My heart went out for Samara a bit because her not knowing Donovan had a wife, and he told her half-truths about his wife. But in the end it all worked out. I can honestly say that this was a different type of read for me with this authors writing style. But it had me intrigued.

This Book Was Amazing!!!

Que T has a way of grabbing your full attention with her characters. She does it yet again with Grassman, you come to care about Donovan and want what’s best for him, even cried for him.

Until his wife showed her beautiful....

I cannot spoil this book for others. It is skillfully written, great characters, and once again a fresh storyline... Love it!!!

Its not easy being green

This was a loving tale of betrayal and dishonor from the point off view of one broken hearted man. Samara was swept off her feet and wrapped up in a fairytale. But ALL stories come to an end. This certainly had an ending I didn't expect.

I really enjoyed this story. Samara being impressed with what Donovan had to offer, was easy to understand. Donovan turning green, interesting. Donovan's wife, I felt for her.The reading felt spiritual & the ending was unexpected. I like this author's style of writing.

I really enjoyed this story!! It was a quick read of a cautionary tale of betrayal and lust. All I can say is sometimes the grass is greener on the other side at least it was for Sam who seemed to be the only winner in this story.

🌿 Grass

This unique short story was very good. Although Sam recked my nerves, a point was proven that the grass can be greener, however be careful what you wish for..

First book by this author. It was okay for a short read. Not really my type of read as I am not really a fan of spells/voodoo. The ending was pretty good though.

Sisters working it out

This story right here...Whew! You think the story is about the man; however, on a deeper level it is about women empowering themselves when a man is emotionally, mentally, and spiritually unavailable. I love the story with its twists and turns. Additionally, the protagonist Samara learned the hard way that everything that looks good is not good for you, and true success does not come without hard work, dedication, determination, and sacrifice.

“All because he was wining and dining me. And I was so desperate for that green, I ran out on the BEST MAN that ever walked into my life, directly into the arms of a married man. Now, look at me.” ~Samara

With a little bit of humor and a whole lot of truth, Samara quickly finds out the grass is ENTIRELY too green on the other side. “GrassMan” is my first read by Butterfly Brooks & Thaddeus Kane and most definitely not my last. It’s a well written, clever story with a unique and unpredictable plot twist. I can only imagine the depth of research that went into developing this twisted tale. BRAVO to this dynamic duo! I look forward to reading more of their work. TAKE MY WORD! 1-Click NOW and read what I say.

I could not put it down! This story was quick and intriguing and soooo engaging! I was in awe at how much creativity, how much adventure, and how much mysticism he could pack in such a short time! Now the story doesn’t overwhelm you, and it stays very focused. The magicism and spirituality mixed with the elements of folklore, tradition, and ritualism blend very well. I could really see where a lot of “our” traditions come from and why we do certain things as a culture.

Listen…. Don’t go messing with married men because you never know about that “root”

Grass Man is very good.
