A baker who sees the dead. One too many suitors. And a killer. Living in Honey Hollow can be murder.
*A laugh out loud standalone cozy mystery by New York Times Bestseller Addison Moore* All books in the series can be read individually, so dive on in!.***Includes RECIPE***
My name is Lottie Lemon, and I see dead people. Okay, so I rarely see dead people, mostly I see furry creatures of the dearly departed variety, who have come back from the other side to warn me of their previous owner’s impending doom.
The baby is here, all is revealed regarding its paternity—and a killer is taunting Lottie to reveal them too.
Lottie Lemon has a brand new bakery to tend to, a budding romance with perhaps one too many suitors, and she has the supernatural ability to the dead—which are always harbingers for ominous things to come. Throw in a string of murders, and her insatiable thirst for justice, and you’ll have more chaos than you know what to do with.
Living in Honey Hollow can be murder.

Okay so Lottie finally finds out who the baby daddy is. That was the highlight of this book. Everett and Noah were a disappointment in that they just allow Lottie to drag them into any hairbrained agreement she makes. The whole B&B fiasco is ridiculous. Add in Carlotta, Cormack and Cressida constantly gaslighting her and it just gets old after a while. I would like Lottie to get a backbone and for Everett and Noah to step up and stop some of her ridiculous behavior. She acts like a bumbling fool most of the time. I was a bit appalled that she keeps putting herself in danger and doesn't have the sense to stop. The murder was a small blip in this book. Can we just end this love triangle please and just let the books be about solving the murders? It really is getting old. Also, spirits come back and help her with the murders, but no one was able to point out how low Carlotta is? Come on. It was also ridiculous that supposedly 3 men were fighting to be Lottie's father. I did find the spicy wing contest to be entertaining.
Painful to read. So much copy and pasting that this series is now painful to read. Muddling through to get final mystery solved, whose the daddy...and it so was not worth the effort.
I have grown to Hate characters as they have grown beyond ridiculous with each book. No longer have the desire to continue the Carlotta cult. Who cares about the rest. Ready to move on.

Oh My Lanta! When I opened this book I didn’t realize I needed to hold on to my butt with the up downs and all arounds. With Lottie having that sweet sugar cookie the big paternity question takes a spot light. With the stress of Everett’s trial coming up, the sleepless times of a new born, the question of “who’s your daddy?” With a little bit of “whose my daddy”, and secrets makes this book almost impossible to put down. Addison knows how to bring it over and over again. With the new twists thrown in I can not wait to see what is next!
I can't say too much without ruining the story, but I will say... WOW!!! Addison Moore has once again created a story that drew me in and kept me engaged from beginning to end. I love the characters, the small town feel, the shannanigans the characters find themselves in and the chaos that always ensues. I just can't get enough of this series and look forward to reading more in the future. Well done to the author on a magnifcent story.
Thank goodness the baby daddy is announced. Now I can stop reading these piece of crap books. Maybe if Lottie got a backbone and told everyone to step off (bio mom, Cressida cormack etc) and she wasn’t such a wuss I might try these again. But doubtful as the writing is awful I didn’t even read this just who the father was
Love this series! The characters are an amazing group of friends and family. This book uses the three points of view of the main characters - Lottie, Everett, and Noah. There's several subplots. Who's the daddy? Who's the unknown female that keeps showing up? Can Everett stay safe from the mob? Can everyone get their jobs back? Lots of questions are answered in this book but... there are new ones to try to figure out. Someone was murdered. Who? And can Lottie figure who did it and why and still stay safe? And keep her new baby safe? What's Carlotta trying to hide? This is a great cozy mystery series. The storylines are creative and entertaining. I think you'll enjoy this book and the series too!

Holy smokes!!! Surprise after surprise comes rolling through this book! And boy, oh boy does it ever give a new meaning to "Whose your daddy"!! Lottie, Noah, and Everett are in the studio about to find out the paternity of their daughter, when murder strikes yet again. It's a race to solve not only a murder, but paternity too! Find out if Lottie can get it done while raising a newborn, her husband's trial, a mob threat, and a mystery woman popping up in random places!! Don't get too "cocky", this book was impossible to put down!!
Lottie and the guys are over the moon with the new baby. They will have to have the go on tv to find out who the father is. While they are filming, Lottie finds another person that has died. This time her mother is a prime suspect. Lottie will work to find out who killed the host. They also have to deal with the the mob, the mystery woman. Lottie will be seeking answers to everything that is going on.
This book will have you hooked from the finding out who the father is to the mystery woman. You will be not be able to put the book down. The twist that the author revealed will have you wanting the next book quickly. Things are getting crazier for Lottie and crew. I am honestly wished Lottie and Noah would get back together. If i could give this book more than 5 stars I would, recommend reading.
A great chocolate chip cookie, a murder (of course) and a big cock star in this adventure of Lottie Lemon and her blended family.
Finally!, we learn who’s the father of Lyla Nell. I’m not going to give away the answer in this review, you’ll have to read for yourself to find out, but I was thrilled that it’s who I’ve been rooting for 😁😁😁.
We also find out the identity of the new mystery woman in town and the jury is still out on whether she’s a good or a bad guy.
Addison Moore serves up delicious chocolate chip cookies with a side of murder and 3 other mysteries: who's Lottie's baby's father? Who's the father of Lottie herself? And who's the mystery woman who looks like Lottie and keeps showing up--a stalker or something more benign? It's early spring in Honey Hollow, Vermont--a time of mud puddles, slushy snowmelt, and the episode of Getting Candid With Candace, a local talk show, where Lottie has agreed to appear to reveal whether Lyla Nell (the nickname she, Noah, and Everett agreed on for "Carlotta") is the child of Noah or Everett (long story) in exchange for Cressida's half of the B&B (longer story). To get out of the deal, Cressida expands it to include the reveal of Lottie's own father, whom Carlotta suddenly can't identify. The reveal is a mess. Candace pits Noah and Everett against each other over the decade-old "theft" of Cormack, bringing them to blows onstage. Then Carlotta charges the stage with choice words and threatens Candace, who bullied her long ago.Candace takes a break, and Everett and Lottie find her dead on her office floor, with a chocolate chip cookie in her hand and Carlotta standing over her with a bloody trophy, just as she threatened onstage. Carlotta says she's innocent, and Lottie believes her because Cluck Norris (get it?) the ghost rooster doesn't accuse her. He lived on Candace's family farm, and Candace spoiled him until her father slaughtered him for dinner. Suspects abound, from smarmy producer Burt to stressed director Woody to fellow guest Fern to assistant Kit. A dropped pocket square and a changed T-shirt confuse every investigator except hapless Cormack, who's too dim to realize she's named the wrong suspect in all 3 of her cases! Cormack isn't discouraged, though--a session on Burt's "casting couch" has landed her a gig on the renamed Getting Candid With Cormack. Per Burt's instructions the next episode will pick up exactly where the previous one ended, minus the fights. On a side trip to Red Satin's underground casino, Carlotta and Lottie meet with Jimmy Canelli and Luke Lazzari, heads of HH's crime families and other candidates for Lottie's paternity (teenage Carlotta wasn't shy of mobsters). Jimmy agrees to call off his hit on Everett (another long story) if Lottie's his child, as a favor to "family". Luke counters that offer with a proposed hit on Jimmy to make all Canelli-ordered hits go away. Lottie doesn't know what to think! Burt says Woody was battling with Candace for creative control of the show. Woody says Kit was the sister of Candace's husband, who fell off a boat 3 days into their marriage and drowned. And Kit says Fern was upset with Candace about something from her college days. It's more confusing with every interview, but Lottie (with Carlotta) soldiers on, creeped out at times by her lookalike, who appears at odd places like Jen's new Hennifer's location, where Lottie sees her in a window and drops the chicken leg from under her neck (super long story)! She's not a ghost, so her identity remains unknown. At the Murder and Mayhem event held at the B&B (cringey tagline: "where homicide makes us happy") Fern busily sells her "Death of..." mysteries and Miranda, whose books contain no murders, sits alone with stacks of her latest release. Fern is Noah's and Lottie's next mark, and she pins the murder on Kit, who'd proposed a water safety episode as a tribute to her brother and was shot down by Candace, who didn't want to "reopen old wounds" that occurred long ago, and who changed shirts midway through taping (to hide bloodstains?). It had to be Kit! Lottie buys a book and Fern signs it with distinct, artistic handwriting. On a follow-up visit to Kit's office, Kit says she spilled coffee on her shirt and Fern offered her a spare. But slender Kit and stocky Fern wouldn't wear the same size! Lottie notices a file that went missing from Candace's desk and opens it. A photo of Kit's brother bears the message, "You did this to our family!"--in distinct, artistic handwriting. Back at the conservatory, Lottie follows Fern outside "for a smoke" and stands near the 2x4s Bear had stacked for use in building Lottie and Everett's house next door (longest story ever). She accuses Fern of framing Kit, and Fern growls that Candace murdered her college boyfriend, pushing him off the roof during a party! Fern tries to kill Lottie with a 2x4 but her lookalike saves her. The reveal shows Lottie's father is Jimmy Canelli and Lyla Nell's father is Everett. Cormack got both wrong; the notes read Harry Nash and Noah Fox. Lottie'd requested the lie about Jimmy (to protect Everett by canceling the hit); Cormack lied about Everett to keep Noah for her delusional self. The lookalike says her name is Carlotta "Charlie" Sawyer--Lottie's sister! I'm so confused! Carlotta's trashier than any of them knew. Still,I loved the story and recommend it. Fewer errors, so it earned 5 stars.
Finally we find out Lyla’s parentage! I know legally with Everett and Lottie being married she’s his but biologically she’s Noah’s. If Lottie plans to stay married to Everett and it appears so then she should become Lottie Baxter! Lyla should legally have Fox as her last name! I already feel sorry for Charlie being partially raised by Carlotta and then who or where else that she was raised. No matter what trouble she may be in or was in I blame Carlotta!! That woman didn’t deserve children!! Again I wish Lottie would toss Carlotta out of her home!! Let her live with Harry he must have an apartment or something! Even with Noah being Lyla’s father I wish he would find someone else! He deserves that! He still can be a part of Lyla’s upbringing but can also find someone for himself. I don’t care that they’re supposed to be soulmates he can still love someone else too! Now I suppose it’s back to sexual preferences again. It was nice having a bit of a break from that. I still don’t fully understand how two men almost brothers can share a woman and a baby in one house! Noah is there more than he is home. Give his rental to Carlotta and he can take her room it’s close to Lyla. After the room gets fumigated from Carlotta and Harry’s sexual deviancy! If Noah ever moves on then he can find a new place or kick Carlotta out! At this point I would hate to see her wreck Nell’s house if it is actually finished! The story just gets stranger as it evolves! I’m not sure if I want to go to #51 but on the other hand the oddball characters have me wondering what else could happen??
Well, now that Lottie has her sweet little sugar cookie, paternity is the next order of business. Cressida has agreed to put her half of the B&B back in Miranda's hands IF Lottie and Noah and Everett will appear on a salacious talk show to reveal the identity of "who's your daddy." Everyone is tense these days. Everett has a court date coming up for his part in the "body snatching" of a mafia offspring, which also has put a hit on his head. Noah is back on the force. And Carlotta has let confirmed that either of the two heads of the local mafia could be Lottie's daddy, much to the surprise of Mayor Nash, who has always thought Lottie was his child. Despite saying all is well, Noah and Everett do get into a brawl at the unveiling on the tv show, everyone storms off the set. While everyone goes to their own corners, the star of the show, Candace, finds herself dead on her office floor. And the suspicions abound. Throw in the Lottie look-alike who has been lurking around town since the last book. All kinds of revelations, with some red herrings thrown in, come to light and we shall see if everyone lives happily ever after.
Chocolate Chip Cookie Conundrum is the thirty second book in the Murder in the Mix Mystery series. This series stories builds on each other so I would suggest reading them in order to get the most out of it, but you could always read them as a stand alone if you wanted to and not be to lost. Lemon has a gift of seeing dead animal of those who will experience back luck soon, but lately deadly luck. Like all the books in this series, when Lottie sees a ghostly animal she knows death is soon to follow. So many questions answered but so many new questions have bubbled to the surface. Lottie had her little sugar cookie at the end of the last book and now is adjusting to being a new mother. Lottie,Noah and Everett have agreed to go on a talk show to do a paternity reveal in return Lottie will get half the B&b back for her mother. The woman who looks like Lottie is still wondering around but hasn’t been caught. So much is happening in there small little corner of the world.
Lottie's life has been flipped upside-down! Her sweet sugar cookie Layla Nell has finally arrived and everyone has quickly fallen in love with her. Lottie, Noah and Everett are scheduled to find out the answer to the big paternity question on a talk show when the host turns up dead and Carlotta just so happens to be number one on the suspect list! Having an infant may have changed everything but that doesn't keep Lottie from investigating and trying to clear her mother's name. There are so many unknowns in this book between the paternity questions and Everett's trial being on the horizon it is sure to keep you on the edge of you seat.
The Chocolate Chip Cookie Conundrum brings the reader to live TV, to not only reveal who Lyla Nell's father is, but also Lottie's. It also brings another murder. Will being a new mom, on very little sleep, bring Lottie's sleuthing days to an end? Not if she can help it. Thankfully Everett, Noah, and a feathered spectre will help Honey Hollow's best baker continue to investigate the latest murder. Of course her family and friends are also quick to jump on board. So many secrets are revealed including some unexpected ones from Carlotta! Enjoy the 32nd book in the wonderful Murder in The Mix series.
Being such a great series, it's hard to believe how many books are in it. Lottie is finally going to have her baby and so many things happening, including another murder. This is one mystery where not only finding the murderer is what you need to know but all the other secrets that come to light. Ready for Lottie's next adventure. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
So many questions were answered in this book. We finally find out Everett's fate, who the baby's father is, who Lottie's father is, who the new girl is, but we also have new questions.
There are lots of comical moments and I love the interactions between the guys, Lottie and the baby. My complaint about this series is Cormack, her character hasn't evolved and should leave town like Evie's mother.
Will Lottie learn who is the father of Lyla Nell? Who is Lottie's father? Who murdered the show host ? Will Everett go to prison? Who is the mysterious woman stalking Lottie? Lottie has her hands full in this mystery. There is humor. I like the name if the ghost pet, and the hilarious things it does. I was not surprised by the surprise at the end. The next book sounds interesting.
In this book, Lottie and the gang find out who the daddy is to her baby. Let us add on top of that the question of who her(Lottie) dad is, is in question at this point. Then there is the dead body. We all know that Lottie and the gang will get this murder solved.

Book 32 of Murder in the Mix, Chocolate Chip Coo!ie Conundrum
This book has many working parts, and some of the issues from the previous book are solved ,but new ones pop up. Lot more info on Carlotta, that really puts her in a worse light than just an embarrassing Looney tune. The book is still an enjoyable
This book is packed to the gills with nuggets for those that love the Honey Hollow crew! We find out who the daddy is of sweet little Lyla Nell and many more surprises! Thanks to Carlotta, insanity ensues and oh yeah there is a murder to solve!
This had to be my favorite book so far. I really enjoyed the 'characters'. There were times I laughed out loud. The older mysteries were all answered. I enjoyed the mystery and who did what. These books so far keep getting better and better.
Looks like Lottie, Everett and Noah have quite a conundrum on their hands and I think the next book in this series is going to make for quite an interesting read! So much happens in this book that it certainly kept me on my toes.
My favorite of this series so far!!! The long awaited "father of the baby" reveal was just one of the great parts of the book. Without giving anything away I have to say I am very happy with the result. The father is who I was hoping it would be.
The big reveal! Or is s it? No spoilers here... I highly recommend this spectacular book, and the most excellent series in which it is, to readers who love reading hilarious and endearing mysteries. Enjoy!
This book is so funny I laughed so hard at the antics of Mayor Nash Carlotta and the whole gang. A must read in the series I have loves them all and can't wait to dive into the next one.
What a book ! The happy three some have fundraising adventures in this book. Starting with the arrival of Lyla Nell, bringing in a couple of monsters by way of a trial and the introduction of a new character. This is a bit to be put down book!
