Target 2 - The Takedown is actually book 3 in The Leeds Crime Series from the extremely talented Ricky Black.
This Follows the events of the first in the series, as the 2nd book entitled Target - Origins is in fact a prequel.
The series focuses on Crime King Pin, Lamont Jones, a brutally calm and calculated protagonist who oozes a cool charisma.
The thing about Lamont though is he wants out. He doesn’t want to be in the game any longer. But with his hand forced he has to continue to play the deadly game of drug dealing on the gritty streets of Leeds.
With new pretenders on the scene, trying to upset the equilibrium, Lamont has decisions to make that could and do come with absolutely devastating consequences.
Again Ricky Black displays his talent with this darkly brutal tale of the British Gangland scene.
Authentic, real, gritty and massively entertaining , Ricky Black has served up another absolutely ferocious thriller.
Gripping and truly compelling story telling, this is a series that needs to be read. Ricky Black has just announced a farther part due out early next year so now is the time to get involved with Lamont, K Bar, Shorty and the crew before this series really explodes.

Part 2
The presidents world is recovering from h8s shooting and it seems that he isn't the man he was. With Shorty inside K bar is running the show and the streets know this, yes K bar is crazy but doesn't wield the power Lamont does. Is the reign coming to an end? All around disaster is taking place by death after death.

Laments struggles to leave his gangster past take a hit in the form of asian war lord Arkhan who intends keeping Lamont where he is ,another blood thirsty look at the lives of Chapeltowns villains.
Excellent book I hope there will be more of Lamonts exploits.
