4.5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✨ This is fantastic! I absolutely loved and thoroughly enjoyed this book. It’s such a perfect blend of crime, thriller, and just the right touch of humor. Decided to listen audio book and I cracked up multiple times while listening! In hindsight, I probably should have read “The Guy of Rangoon” first. Did lose a bit of interest around the two-thirds of the book because I wasn’t familiar with “Gandamar Thaung Yi” character, but aside from that, it’s an outstanding read. Khat Zaw did a phenomenal job—I can officially call myself a fan!
The book was good, but the dialogue were bland. I enjoy the historical references slapped in there too. The ending was quite anticlimactic but it’s historically more accurate I guess. Decent but not as impactful as the Guys of Rangoon.
If you have read The Guys of Rangoon, then it's no-brainer that you should read this. Not gonna spoil it. It's very much likely that you will enjoy this.
I'm kind of late to party and the hype train but still its definitely a book that worth all the "Hype" and whatnot. Haven't been able to stop reading it since Day 1.
