Naughty or Nice #4

Dear Daddy, Please Want Me

Rate this book
Dear Santa,
It’s hard to be a Jew on Christmas. Nobody brings me presents, like sexy Daddies or Peppermint Mocha Frappes (because, let’s be honest, I can totally sell-out if it gets me peppermint in my caffeinated sugar).
But do you know what I really want for Christmas? I want to know what’s wrong with the app so I don’t have to work on the weekend.
So maybe you can work on that, Santa, for the Jewiest Jew Boy ever?
Love and kisses, Levi

Saul shouldn’t be attracted to his funny and adorable employee, Levi. He shouldn’t be excited about debugging an error in the kinky dating together. And he definitely shouldn’t bring him peppermint mocha frappes just to see him smile.
Saul has enough to do with running a company and figuring out his gender transition on the job. But he can’t help wondering what it would be like to hear Levi call him Daddy.

Dear Daddy, Please Want Me is an office romance about an exuberant boy, a reluctant Daddy, and the age-old Jewish tradition of Chinese food and movies on Christmas day. It has plenty of kink and a happily ever after.

This book is part of the Naughty or Nice multi-author series. Each book can be read as a standalone, but there are so many boys hoping that holiday magic will bring them their perfect Daddy, why not grab them all?

Reese Morrison lives in Philadelphia with their partner, two precocious children, and intermittent housemates, guests, and homeless, queer teens. Their hobbies are volunteering on too many boards, planting gardens that they forget to water half-way through the summer, making up songs for their kids, and putting off writing their dissertation.

Reese and their partner both identify as genderqueer and are part of a vibrant community of queer and trans folks. They started writing because they were dissatisfied with the lack of trans and genderqueer characters in what they were reading and finally decided to do something about it. Many, but not all, of their books are kinky (for a whole range of kinks...) and they feel that it's important to represent a range of backgrounds, dis/abilities, gender presentations/ identities, and body types in their writing.

From first sight, Levi had a crush for his new boss Saul, the CEO, and owner of the Daddy/boy dating app Cuffd.
Levi is a boy, almost forty-year, he’s Jewish, exquisitely soft and sweet, cute, playful, and adorable. We get a lot to know about Hanukkah and Hebrew endearments.
Saul is a trans man in transition, he’s a natural Daddy. He shares his uncertainties and vulnerability with us, that was for me so precious. Love and trust makes him open up and offer his boy everything of himself.

It was such a freaking endearing story, with a smoothly flirting boy, both men with soft, caring attitudes.

The energy flowing between them was electrifying and highly sensual. Through Levi’s eyes, we meet
Nervous Daddy
Indulgent Daddy
Broody Daddy
Chuckling Daddy
Adoring Daddy
Insecure Daddy
Saul is a lot but mostly the perfect Daddy for his boy.

“My Daddy,”

“My Boy”

My heart, it was awesome, the adoration, the way they give their hearts, so beautifully written.
Passages of hurt from the past were a good addition.
What I missed were the words I Love You, even though it was palpable on every page.
All those sweet endearments in Hebrew were just ... gosh heartwarming
Wonderfully written story! It ended high on my Daddy/boy shelf.

Not everyone celebrates Christmas

I am not surprised that I loved this book cuz I have enjoyed each book Reese Morrison has put out. But as someone who also doesn’t participate in the Christmas obsession, I really appreciated a winter holiday themed novel that involves Hanukkah and two Jewish men falling in love. Add in some gender identity insecurities and a greedy boy in need of a Daddy? Yes please!

I really enjoyed the dynamic and communication between Saul & Levi. I did find that it dragged a bit a times but overall the relationship itself was sweet. Let's ignore the fact that they watched Call Me By Your Name and said it was "beautiful and touching" yeah No but besides that I enjoyed this one.

-Daddy/boy kink (no age play), trans male, 2 Jewish main characters.

I enjoy that this author writes about characters that we don't get to read about often. I like that both of the characters - Levi & Saul - are a little bit broken and they help heal each other so perfectly.

I also like that the daddy/boy dynamic was different than most of the books in that genre. Saul was a gentle daddy. He wanted to help guide and care for Levi more than order and take over his life. Levi was too cute! He made me smile more often than not as I read.

As I am working my way through the Cuffd series, I think this is a great one that will give the reader a different perspective on life and how others live theirs.

Dear Daddy, Please Want Me is a holiday-themed romance from Reese Morrison. Although it's a part of the Naughty or Nice multi-author collaborative series, it can be read as a standalone. Here's what you can expect from Saul and Levi:

🕎 MM holiday-themed contemporary romance
🕎 Third person dual point of view
🕎 Guaranteed happily ever after
🕎 Daddy/boy relationship (no age play)
🕎 Boss/employee dynamic
🕎 Age-old tradition of Chinese food and movies on Christmas Day
🕎 Trans representation

With the holiday season basically upon us, I was excited to pick this one up. I'd met Levi and Saul in one of Reese's later books, All Tied Up, and I was thrilled to be able to go back and read their story. I had a great time with this book! Reese does such a great job representing kink and exploring gender identity. They also do a great job at presenting dynamics that we don't typically see in romance novels, which always draws me into the story. Their stories are detailed, and I appreciate that, too.

I really liked that we got to see Levi and Saul's initial meeting when Levi interviewed for a project manager position at Saul's company, Cuffd (a dating/hookup app that caters to the kink community). We learn that Saul will be announcing to all his employees that he identifies as a trans man later that afternoon, and I enjoyed how that conversation with Levi went, especially when Levi helped Saul choose his new middle name. Saul's gender identity plays an important role in this story, and I like that the author didn't shy away from those tough conversations that Saul had to have with Levi. Levi was also an interesting character. He isn't your typical boy, and his previous partners have often told him he's too selfish and clingy. This resulted in a fascinating conversation between Levi and Saul regarding the differences between being greedy and selfish. In the end, they were able to find a happy medium that catered to both their wants and needs. This was a beautiful story, and I adored the Jewish pet names they had for one another. Their shared religion and how it was woven into the story was such a lovely, different touch. I think my one complaint with this story was that it ended a little too suddenly for my liking, but I was glad to visit them again when I re-read All Tied Up. Overall, I highly recommend this holiday story for those that love Daddy kink and appreciate Reese's meticulous attention to detail and dynamics.

I really enjoyed this low angst read. It was funny, engaging and witty as well. Saul was in the process of transitioning and have a lot of concerns about his physical appearance. He always think of himself as too short, not masculine enough or too lumpy and etc. As the book goes, there were always such concerns going through Saul's mind and my heart cheered at the end for him. Levi was always defined as being too greedy and too much from his exes and it haunted him. He was always unsure how things would work out with Saul and couldn't help thinking that Saul would leave him too. I love the level of communication between the two MCs to understand each other's wants and needs and to address each other's insecurities and thus, my five stars!

Have I talked about how much I love Reese Morrison lately? Do y'all understand? Their books are just so comforting for me and joyfully queer and they bring me a lot of happiness. This book in particular is set during the holiday season and it has two gay Jewish MCs who work at a kinky dating app and have to fix a bug in the app during the week of Christmas. Saul is a trans gay man and he owns the company. He is dominant and figuring out what it means to be a daddy especially when one of his employees, Levi, sets up and shows so just how badly he wants him to be his daddy. This book is a daddy / boy dynamic with no age play. It has a couple explicit sex scenes, a few conversations about body dysphoria from Saul, and a lot of conversations about what it's like to be Jewish in a Christmas dominated society. This is own voices Jewish and trans rep.

Lovely

This was a wonderfully sweet romance. We are talking cavity inducing sweetness and it was just what I needed. I read All Tied Up first, which had the lawyer from the club in it and had to go back and read their story. I highly recommend that book too.

Jewish Levi applies for a job at the kinky dating app, and Saul hires him. Levi wants a Daddy, but has had bad luck.
Levi, nearly 40, tall, dark hair and eyes (cover),

has a Masters degree in coding, plus he is vibrant, bubbly, joyful, a very confident sub/boy. He wants to be cared for, desired and pampered, but his exuberance has had him rejected too many times.

Saul is a bit shorter, a transgender, who sold his advertising company and now, owns the Cuff'd site. His profile says he's a Dom, but the move to Daddy was needed.

We learn about the website, how the two get along and work together, their likes and dislikes. Levi writes to the site in the Dear Santa promotion. Of course, Saul gets to read it !

We also learn about the Jewish religion, facts, words, and more, as it is incorporated in Levi's daily life. Saul is on board with this sweet boy and his wants, but Saul is still fighting his self image with his transitioning body.

They graduate into sexy times, mostly meeting Levi's needs. Levi is childlike at times, but I think it's his inner peace and joy filled self that frees him.

Amidst the Jewish traditions, the kink discussions, learning about transgender issues, we are schooled on the topics, which keeps us interested to learn more.

Their romance moves forward, pasts are shown, long talks, common ground, and helps us understand the inner thoughts. We get a hopeful HFN, with love and future plans.
ENJOY!

Fantastic

A wonderful book about two people who don't fit certain stereotypes in gay culture.

Saul is a transgender man who is in the early stages of coming out.

Levi is looking for a Daddy, but he's been told he's too needy, to greedy, too tall.

These two are perfect for each other. I really loved how sweet Levi is, and the balance of insecurity and competence that both characters display.

I just love this book so much 🥹
It’s very Jew-y (which is funny for a Christmas romance!) queer, and kinky. More Christmas books about kinky Jews please! When Levi started going off about Eco-Kashrut, I almost fainted I was so overcome with joy and the feeling of being seen.

This is a work-place romance (boss and employee, although the employee is not a “direct report”) - which can be tricky for obvious reasons - but the way it played out worked for me. But, if that’s dynamic that isn’t your fave, I’d skip this one!

Reese Morrison is a new-to-me author, introduced to me by a bookish friend, and I am loving everything they write. I will be ferociously consuming their backlist in 2023!

Sweet n' kinky is increasingly becoming the best way to describe Reese Morrison's writing. The romance is sweet like sugar and the sex is FIRE. It's everything one could want in a holiday romance.

Saul and Levi were just perfect for each other. I love how Levi was not the most traditional boy and how the book addressed and explored that and Saul...*insert dreamy sigh*. He may not be the most confident trans man and is still trying to find comfort in himself but oh is he a swoony daddy. Chapter 12 anybody!? All I'm gonna say about that.

Levi may have my heart but Saul was really the star here. He was so multidimensional and seeing his conflictions about his body and transitions juxtaposed to his confidence as a dom was so well done (not that I'd expect anything less). I've read everything by Reese Morrison and I'm pretty Saul is the first trans character who is relatively new to his transition (just under a year). His story was important and one that I think a lot of people can see themselves in if not learn something from. That's another thing about Reese's writing that is so special, the wonderful and diverse LGBTQ+ cast who are more than their gender and feel real and whole. I don't think they get praised enough for that.

TL; DR this is a beautifully written, fully realized romance with amazing characters and HOT af kink. The only thing keeping me from loving this as much as their other books was there was a lot of internal dialogue that didn't feel 100% necessary. It didn't hurt the story and it did add to the characters but for me it just kind of felt like a lot. So 4.5 stars but I'm rounding up because only Reese could make me look twice at an office romance.

If the first forty percent were more concise this would be fantastic! I struggled to get into this because there was a lot of internal monologue and repetitiveness at the beginning but the second half was delightful! A boy who just wants a Daddy and a trans man who is still struggling with his transition and does not believe he deserves to be in a relationship yet: they just happen to be perfect for each other! Where's the sounding scene? o-O /j

Some quotes:
"Levi let himself be guided into the warm lobby. He towered over Saul by at least six inches, but the position made him feel small and protected." (p. 33)

"'...when I read about a new kink, I just add it to the bottom. And you can put comments in it...'
'I'm not putting comments in your Google Sheet. Uh... that sounded dirtier than I expected. Alright, baby send me your spreadsheet..." (p. 131)

"That's right. Because I'll take care of you and you're all mine." (p. 190)

"But from my perspective, you're a man, so all of your parts are man-parts. I won't be comparing. You just decide what you want to share with me." (p. 198)

"'So,' Levi asked eagerly, 'does that mean you're my abbale?' The word was soft and rolling in his mouth, AH-buh-luh, like a verbal cuddle." (p. 209)

Dear Daddy, Please Want Me is a compelling Daddy romance. Part of the Naughty or Nice multi-author series, this is Reese Morrison's contribution.

This is a tale of co-workers, employer/employee, and a dating app. Working together, trying to find the glitch in the app, brings Levi and Saul close together.

There are some wonderful aspects to this story that definitely keep it unique from other holiday romances.

First, I love that Saul is trans, which adds a lot of layers to his personality. I appreciate the way Saul struggles with his body and the body expectations of being a Daddy. He's only transitioned recently, thus he still struggles a lot. The author includes an up close look at using packers and binders, and all the emotions involved. The author does a fantastic job in the overall development of Saul.

And, damn, I love the term "Manniversery."

The Daddy aspect is well done, with Levi being submissive and Saul being the perfect daddy for him. I love how Saul helps to calm the adorable Levi. Even better though, is the way Saul manages to spoil him. It's all perfectly sweet.

The two men have plenty of issues to deal with throughout, making for some honest and realistic conflict.

One of the highlights of this story for me is that Saul never thought of being a daddy. Until Levi. I like that being with his boy also completes him in a way he never expected. And he ends up being a great daddy for his boy.

And then there's the cultural aspect. The author includes plenty of Jewish traditions and culture, as well as the emotions they invoke. It makes for some interesting conversations.

The writing is great, as Reese Morrison excels in developing intriguing characters with a wide range across the LGBT spectrum. With Saul being trans, the author once again explores that one's body doesn't define their gender. Reese also manages to explore that one's body may not be able to show their arousal in the usual way, but it's still there. I loved this little comment.

Dear Daddy, Please Want Me is a sweet Daddy kink romance. Reese Morrison sets this tale during the holidays, with the fun dating app front and center.

This was a really good book. Saul is the CEO of a company that runs a dating app that matches Daddies with appropriate Boys. He is far from confident in himself but leads with ease and fairness. Levis is a playful man that often gets mistaken for a Daddy but all he wants is someone to take care of him. He certainly did not expect to find it in his boss but maybe Santa will give him what he really wants for Christmas this year! Saul is a newly transitioned man, still struggling with feelings of inadequacy and body dysphoria. He wonders if anyone will take him seriously as a Dom. It was so sweet to watch him and Levi dance around each other. Levi never once doubts him even if he doubts himself. There is not nearly enough representation of trans people in books and media and it was nice to see it shown with such grace and sensitivity. I highly recommend this one. It is full of Christmas (or Hanukkah) magic!

Adorable

This book is completely adorable. Saul is a trans man who owns a kinky dating app company and Levi is an employee. They do acknowledge the ethical issues with this and how company policy could better support employees who date. But that’s not the point of the story really. :)

Levi’s openness and exuberance provide support for Saul as he navigates being comfortable with his body and identity. They pair so well and are very sweet together. Lovely Jewish rep as well (though I’m not Jewish, so take that my opinion for what it’s worth).

Just like is said in the book, the amount of Christmas stories compared to Hanukkah ones is vast so I have only read a couple. Dear Daddy, Please Want Me has Saul and Levi who are Jewish to varying degrees and its such a sweet and enjoyable story to fall into. There is a tiny bit of talk about some of the history and the way it brings the characters together is really heartwarming as you can just imagine how the two men are.
Levi is just the cutest Boy, so excitable and wanting to make others happy that Saul can't help but find him endearing from the moment he steps into the interview. Saul is caring and really in need of that someone to share his life with what with the huge changes he's going through but he never would have imagined it would be a colleague, or at least not until meeting Levi, anyway. From the first interact, there are sparks and a connection that builds between boss and employee but flourishes once they grab the chance to become so much more to each other. That's when the relationship really comes into its own and shows how perfectly matched they are for each other.
This is a great slow burn romance with two very different people who, it turns out, want the same from life and love, that perfect person to share it with. Definitely a recommended read and a wonderful addition to the series.
I received an ARC and am happily giving a review.

This was my second book by this author, and I once again love the Jewish characters. It's nice to be able to feel that connection, especially in December. I liked how both MCs had their own issues to work through and they found a balance with each other. This was a story about breaking through stereotypes and seeing people for who they are deep down.

I received an advanced copy and voluntarily gave my honest review.

SO sweet

This was low angst and very endearing.
Saul and Levi were conflicted about starting a romantic relationship because they were work colleagues BUT they really were a perfect match for one another. Their exploration of their limits was SO hot. I’m really enjoying all of the books in this series. This is a good addition to it! We got the founder of the Cuffd’ app’s book!

I loved how in this story trust is needed so much by both parties. Saul has so many things to loose if Levi isn't the person he seems to be. That Levi turns out to be what he needs and more makes this a special and warm and fuzzy read. Loved this story very much.

4,5☆

It was a great book, but I was expecting that - it's written by Reese and it's a Daddy kink book, so what can go wrong? Nothing.
It was my second Hanukkah book (the first one was from Reese too), but now I think it was a bit too much. There were too much Hanukkah thing described and there were scenes I just skipped because I just wanted the romance and not the describing of this event.

Loved that Saul was still on his way in transition to male, he was on T only for one year, and it was good to read about his insecurities - while on the other hand, Levi was so in love with Saul from the very first time. Their relationship was so well written and I really loved that Levi's crush was so visible and that he found Saul handsome when he first met him, when he thought that Saul isn't man and he thought that he isn't gay if he found a woman attractive. Really loved that Levi was this accepting and he was so eager to please.

Saul was a great character and it was cute to see him when he found himself in the daddy position. Loved those two together, Levi with his greediness and the want and need to please his Daddy. So sweet.

Loved reading this book, it was really sweet.
