Vincenzo (Vinny) - I always get what I want. I’ve run the streets all my life, starting with nickel and dime operations before working my way up to leading the most successful crime syndicate (it sounds classier than ‘mob’) in the city. I’m in charge. I make the rules, and I never ask permission. I’m used to dealing with bastards as greedy and impatient as I am, so I’m thrown for a loop when a pure, kind-hearted, beautiful young man comes to me for help; he’s acquired many debts and is in need of a loan. I'm drawn to his sapphire eyes and nervous demeanor, and once I hear his story, I insist on helping him. Though it’s unlike me, I even offer him two options for repayment; he can work for me, or he can belong to me. I’d require his total submission, and in return, I could give him anything his heart desires. All he has to do is ask Daddy with those pretty lips of his, and I’ll be putty in his hands. Lucas - Life has been one struggle after another. In the past few weeks, I’ve lost everyone I loved and everything I owned, and have gotten tied up with a dangerous gang in the process. With my life on the line and no options left, a chance meeting leads me to a man named Vincenzo. I worry about involving myself with yet another malevolent group until I meet Vincenzo and see that the gorgeous older man is different. He listens to me and helps me, and looks at me like no one else has; with desire in his eyes. He makes those desires clear when he gives me the option of becoming his boy, and a deadline for my answer. Events in my life have always pushed sex and dating to the back burner, and I have no experience with men. I worry that I'm not good enough for Vincenzo, but I can't pass up the chance for pleasure and guidance from an experienced hand. I choose Daddy, and begin a life of luxury, passion and danger. **This series features Daddy kink (no age play) between naughty Daddies who find themselves (or live!) on the wrong side of the law, and their sweet, virginal boys who come to the rescue. These books may be a little grittier than most of my titles, but they’re still low angst, insta-love, full of sweetness, and follow relationships on the fast track. They're also packed with scenes so hot, they'll make you sit up and say, "Yes, Daddy!" They are each a standalone story and can be read in any order.
I live in rural Ohio with my husband and two sons who drive me nuts, but I love them with all my heart. I enjoy reading and writing romance of all types, but gay romance is my forte and favorite! Twice the sexy men? Yes, please! My books tend to be low angst because it hurts my heart, but they do contain lots of heartfelt moments, steamy scenes and a healthy dose of humor. Thank you to everyone for checking out my page and I hope you enjoy my books. Happy reading!
A boy who needs to be saved and protected by a Daddy. Nothing new, but I just love these stories. The age difference is a bit bigger than I'm used to, but it's portrayed well, so it's not weird or anything. Lucas and Vinny have perfect chemistry. Yes from the beginning, the insta thing fits but somehow, it's not too over the top.
“You’re nice.” I blinked in shock; it certainly wasn’t a sentence I heard everyday. “Now listen, I’ve got a reputation to uphold, so don’t go spreading that shit around town.” I was being serious, but Lucas giggled. He actually fucking giggled and my icy heart melted into a puddle. 😂😂😂
Daddy and I fed each other the cannoli and though they were delicious, nothing was better than the sweet cream that came from Daddy. When I told him that, I got another long, tongue-filled kiss. - How do I say this now ... I'm sorry guys, but anyone who has ever eaten cannoli I think can confirm that cum is in no way comparable and certainly does not taste better. IN NO WAY! In any case, it gave me a good laugh.
The rest of the book is not so great, unfortunately. So the plot is strange. A criminal syndicate consisting of three people? Ok, but the whole thing with the competing clan and the stupid attack of Bones ... and the necklace ... OMG rarely read something so weird and disgusting.
"Boss Daddy" by Jayda Marx is a short, sweet, and spicy MM Daddy/boy romance with light mafia vibes, a silver fox mob boss, and a traumatized little bunny just trying to survive. 🔫🐰
Lucas, my poor soft baby, has been through hell—homelessness, loss, grief, debt, violence—and I just wanted to wrap him up in a blanket and feed him cookies. 😭💔🍪
But then came Vincenzo, aka Daddy Vinny, the silver fox mob boss who fell harder than a brick through a windshield. He swooped in with all his power, money, and alpha daddy energy and gave Lucas not just safety, but love, devotion, and a brand-new life full of soft things, sexy times, and zero struggle. 😍💖
Watching Lucas go from timid to playful, a lil sassy and bold, was so satisfying. Boy had Daddy wrapped around his finger in no time, and Vinny fucking loved it. Their dynamic? Adorable, spicy, comforting. Pure Daddy/boy sugar with a shot of filth. 🥹❤️🔥
Side characters? Sal, Johnny, and Angelo had me dying. The mafia banter was giving sitcom chaos and I was here for it. 💀😂
Is it OTT? Yup. A little cringey at times? Kinda. Do I care? Fuck no. 🙂↔️ I came for the comfort Daddy fix, low angst, guaranteed HEA, and soft spicy care—and I got exactly what I wanted. 🙂↕️
Jayda Marx delivered, as always. If you need something safe, sweet, and smutty, this is your next Daddy treat. ✨️💕
- Quotes:
Visiting an all female strip club appealed to me about as much as using hot sauce for lube. - "I found a client for you. I ran into him earlier today when I went to the bank." "So is the guy loaded or something?" "As far as I could tell, he has no money," "What the literal fuck is going on?" "Maybe you should just go speak with him." "Fine, but swear to god, old man; if this thing goes sideways, it's going to cost you your balls." "I think my balls will be just fine, and yours will be quite happy."
The moment I saw the man, Angelo's remark about happy balls made sense; he was so goddamn pretty. - "Lucas, you are never to apologize for needing me, do you understand?"
I nodded as I swallowed the lump of desire in my throat. Vincenzo had a way of scolding me while making me feel cared for and it was the most addicting thing I'd ever experienced. - "You need to let your worries go. I'm here to worry for you now, and to take care of everything. That's what a Daddy does; trust in me to look after you. Let me take control and give you the life you deserve." - "Have you ever had any bespoke outfits?" "I'm not familiar with that brand." "My god, you're adorable. Bespoke means that it's made just for you; constructed specifically for your body." "Oh. Then no, definitely no bespokeness." - "The world isn't black and white, rabbit. Not all 'good guys' are lily white saints, and not all 'bad guys' have blackened souls. The world exists in layers of gray." - Because I wanted him to remember as much as I needed to hear it, I took his chin between my thumb and forefinger and requested, "Tell me who you belong to." His smile grew wider and his eyes sparkled when he answered, "You, Daddy." - “I’m in charge, boy. Am I going to have to tie down your legs too?” “Do it! Oh god, Daddy, do it!” Good lord, I’ve created a monster. - “Tell me who loves you.” His lips pulled into the gorgeous smile that was etched into my heart and memory. “You do, Daddy.” -

This book was...so highly ridiculous, it's just wild. I contemplated rounding up, but just couldn't because of the ridiculous. The hotness can only make up for so much.
This was so insta-love it was ridiculous, the writing was sophomoric, and it felt so ridiculous that Vinnie is the "boss" of a crew of two, who are his best buddies from childhood. He also has a "butler" but he isn't in the "mob" gang.
Also all they do is commit insurance fraud for people destroying cars or burning homes down, etc. It's still crime, sure, but it's not what "mobs" are made of. It just felt so ridiculous, and so I didn't understand why it was a part of the story if they aren't even really a mob or even a gang, just a group of guys who commit crime.
Lucas is the "boy" and while he was sweet and adorable, he makes the choice to be Vinnie's boy way too fast - within the first night - and then from then on is just happy to submit for *everything* and while I love a good Dom/sub dynamic, a little fight in him wouldn't have hurt. I mean, the total submission is hot, and that is a plus, but it would have helped the story more if Lucas wasn't just entirely submissive with no spunk in him.
He agreed with *everything* Vinnie did or said for him, and never was annoyed - so unrealistic it's insane - and just thought about how "amazing Daddy was and how he knew just want what was best for him, no matter what"
The sex was hot a few times - although there could have been more. If this book was longer and had a better plot, there could have been even more hot sex scenes. Instead we get only one blowjob scene - that was definitely hot, for sure - and about two penetrative sex scenes and a scene or two more of like hand job type stuff - and while those scenes themselves were hot, I wanted more.
I wanted more build up to their relationship, I wanted a deeper connection to be formed, not for them to already be there.
So this was alright. The hotness of the sex was definitely a plus and sometimes their dynamic got me going, but I wished for a lot more with this, and wish it wasn't just so ridiculous overall. The plot was "meh" as well and even when shit happens, and Lucas' life is even put on the line, it gets worked out pretty quickly.
And when Vinnie even goes to kill the men who hurt him and is out for revenge, we don't even get to see it, the next chapter is just Lucas' POV and him waking up from his surgery and everything is taken care of. It was just so lazy to me.
So, yeah, this wasn't a great one, but it gets props for hotness and sometimes the Daddy kink being written well in the scenes. Other times not, but sometimes it worked for me.
I usually like this author's books because they're low-angst and insta-love, and I was excited for this one because it was an anti-hero daddy. But this one didn't do much for me, unfortunately. I wanted a little more from Vinny. He's supposed to be kind of badass, but he was too much of a sap. Don't get me wrong, I love when anti-heroes are mush for their guys and want to give them the world. But, I almost felt like Vinny didn't stay true to character. Maybe if we'd really seen a darker side to him outside of Lucas.
And Lucas, a little more hesitancy would have been nice. Not too long, because that would have annoyed me too lol. But this was all insta on crack. Probably more my mood than the book, because like I said, I usually love JM's books.
I’m not sure what the author tried to accomplish, I hope just a fun read we should not take too seriously. Because I couldn’t take it seriously, it could be labeled as way over the top, but gosh I loved it to some extent *giggles* Even though it was predictable I loved the hurt comfort, the big innocent eyes blurred with tears, misunderstandings, and every sex scene.
The sweetest, innocent, fragile shy young man living under the most hurtful circumstances turns for help to the big boss of a syndicate. This man who should be in essence ruthless but was sweet, protective, and head over heels with the sweet boy with the beautiful sapphire eyes. So far you get my comment ott. They were opposite in every way. Big spender versus broke and in debt. Experienced lover versus virgin Innocence versus syndicate I can go on and on, you get the picture I hope. Don’t take it too seriously!
A lighthearted, sappy story that made my laugh and even a tiny bit tearful, I enjoyed it.
Okay I’m a HUGE Jayda fan, HUGE!! I love most if not all of her stories and this one was no exception. My only “but” was the overuse of the word “daddy” but that’s about it. A good read.
If you like your MM stories sweet and without any drama, then this is the book for you. I felt it focused too much on how Daddy could spoil Lucas with money than the development of their relationship (which is VERY insta). Also, Lucas (21) grew up in the worst street in town, yet he is naive and clueless. This book is well written but it's not for me.
3.5/5. Highlights may contain spoilers. Read at your own risk.
Content Warnings for book: Off-page parental neglect and abuse, parent death, mentions of heroine addiction, gun violence, murder, arson
Kink: Daddy kink, Domination/submission, rough sex, orgasm control, public sex
Boss Daddy by Jayda Marx is pretty typical of her - instalove, some daddy kink, and has the magic of not being too long as it crafts a story. It is the story between a mafia Daddy and a virgin Boy, looking for a way out of his problems.
A lot of people already know what I like about a Marx book: easy to read, I enjoy the instalove, the sex scenes are hot. Nothing is different here, I did really enjoy this. My picks at it are more just personal preferences, but I didn't mind how fast-paced it was either. I sort of expect it from her, and the dramatic moments they had were typical Marx. I like how Vinny was a little different than her usual protagonists, because he was a bit rougher around the edges and the epilogue gives a delicious idea that isn't usually common.
My issues is the 'mafia' part of Vinny is not really a head of a mafia. Three men are not a mafia's make, I'd say. They're more a gang, I guess? Their specific racket is insurance fraud, which I don't see often, so I didn't mind that part. However Marx leans hard into the "Actually Good Guy Mob", with the whole aspect of him not ever killing someone until later in the book. This just feels cheesy to me, but it made sense because it was a Marx book. I also was confused how Bones (the main villain) and his crew were mafia either. I guess to me, mafia is specifically organized crime syndicates within family groups. This felt more... gang like? Not dynasty based or so organized.
I’m surprised at how much I enjoyed this book! I don’t normally read ‘mob’ books but I had heard such good things about this one that I decided to try it. It was actually very sweet and pretty hot too!
I loved Vinny’s ‘muscle’ Sal and Johnny, and Angelo too!! Well written and entertaining.
***** POV... multi first person
Standalone or series... book 1 in series but can be read as standalone
This was very over the top, instalove, let's get married and be together forever. If you took it at face value, it was a cute story, and just leave it at that.
3 stars. This was cute. I like Marx’s work but this isn’t a favorite of mine unfortunately. The characters, Lucas and Vinny, felt very flat and lifeless but the smut was good which wasn’t surprising because Marx is really great at smut. I just wanted to know the characters more but there wasn’t much there even though the length of this was enough to develop them but oh, well.
A by the numbers Daddy kink book where the boy gets into debt and finds a way to get out of it by serving Daddy and exploring his sexuality, which the boy considers a win/win. There is no hint of dubcon.
Cute and sexy. The mob boss daddy feel less like the boss and more like a lackey as he’s hands on, but it’s a good instalove story.
Worth the read in a space where some of the daddy boy books are unreadably bad.
The contents is as insipid as the blurb. I can't read past the second chapter as I can't stand the personality of "Vinny" that is as unrealistic as it can get for a guy who's supposed to be a "dangerous" mafia boss. Another shitty read that makes me lose it... again.
Can I give this 10 stars..I absolutely loved this book..I think it's going to be one of my top favourites....Vinny and Lucas were just perfect together..Lucas needed help and Daddy Vinny gave him it...An easy read with just the right amount of action in it...Can't wait for book 2 x
“Who are you calling crazy?” “Back off, fruit loop,” Sal said, pushing the man away from me.
A cringey romance with no plot at all, just smut and dramatic sappy love/lust.
I knew from page 1 this wasn't going to be my type of book when I saw Vinny acting as if he's tough shit. I ended up laughing. It wasn’t the best part of town, but Sal, Johnny and I were packing enough heat to take out anyone who dared to fuck with us.
If I wanted to hear a man who speaks like that I'd talk to any roadman in England who thinks he's sick.
The plot only lasts on chapter 2. Lucas (21) is in debt so he goes crying to Vinny (47) who is a hit man that doesn't kill people but has a massive reputation. Vinny's like "work for me or call me daddy". They go to bed but Lucas just has to find Vinny then he calls him daddy 24/7 from there until the end.
The rest of the plot is Vinny fighting Bones (Lucas in debt to guy?) but then Bones has his own chapter where he cuts a man's pinky off because he has a reputation to hold?? We don't see him again? Sure he's mentioned but that's it.
Add in loads of sex between those scenes and there's your book completed.
---
He held out his hand with another smile. "It's nice to meet you, rabbit." "No!" I barked, making Lucas flinch in my arms, and my friends' smiles vanish. "He's Lucas to you, and he's mine."
^ Page 59 - fun fact, if you don't want your friend to call your newfound obsession by the nickname you call him, maybe you should introduce each other!!
“Who are you calling crazy?” “Back off, fruit loop,” Sal said, pushing the man away from me.
^ Page 66 - I don't know any men, especially in their late 40s who call each other fruit loops.
--- Spoiler for ending:
At the end, Lucas is shot and Vinny is like "why would you do that?! It's supposed to be me!" and Lucas replies "I can't live without you!"
^ These men haven't even known each other a week!
They've had sex and called each other Daddy and rabbit that's it! No connection between characters whatsoever just instant lust.
This was not a good book for me. There was nothing dangerous or intimidating about someone who was supposed to be the head of a so called crime syndicate, and really that’s where the fun lies in books about dangerous men, there should be some intrigue and some sense of danger so that you feel some of naughtiness that is supposed to be present.
I’m good with immediate attraction but the insta love here was too much, everything was just too easy between the two MCs
The conflict with Bones made zero sense to me. Why would Bones want to kill Vinny? Let’s say Vinny refused to pay the interest on the money Lucas owed, it’ll be more believable in that case that Bones would have some beef with Vinny for the disrespect or something. It’s clear the author was attempting to stir up some conflict but it just fell flat to me.
I’m good with light reads even about mob bosses but this story was just too weak for me.

- a MM mafia romance! instalove, daddy k!nk, age gap, praise k!nk! - well that’s one way to meet your soulmate lmao - i love how innocent Lucas is - the joys of a novella is that we’ve had two s3x scenes in 50 pages - and damn was that restaurant scene GOOD - ooo lots of action throughout this bad boy - dunno how i feel about a Bones chapter..? - they’re acc so sweet together i love it - love confessions after 2 days of knowing each other 😂 - but they were super sweet confessions and so heart felt - obsessed with their sex scenes and how well Vinny looks after Lucas - the casino scenes were so fun!! and the bathroom scene hello👀 - NOW THAT WAS AN ACTION PACKED THIRD ACT CONFLICT - no third act break up besties x - Sal giving blood omg 🥹 - and the epilogue was so good!! - okay hard core loved this!! it was ridiculous and SO MUCH FUN
Lucas didn't know that when he went to the bank for a loan,he would meet the man who would introduce him to the man of his dreams and change his life forever. Vinny just came home from doing a job and when Angelo told him about the visitor in his office he was upset at first. But when he he laid eyes on the young man he took his breath away. After hearing his story, not only did he want to help him but he wanted to have him, wanted him to be his boy not for a day, a week or a month but forever. That was the beginning of their journey and life together. GOOD STORY!!😘
This was a quick read and a fast burn but it was perfection! Vinny and Lucas are those type of characters I want to have as friends in real life. They are absolutely adorable and their chemistry is off the charts. From the moment they met they knew they were it for each other. There were no questions about it. I liked that this book had some little bit of trial in it but it wasn't angsty in the slightest. The communication between the characters was on point and the side characters were lovable as well. Glad this was recommended to me!
I absolutely love all of this authors work. I absolutely fell for this family and that is what they are. Vinny is the leader with a definite "good" bad guy vibe. Highly intelligent with a clear belief system. Lucas has had a rough time of it but has retained an innocence and sweetness that has never been tarnished. The butler brings them together and they absolutely click. I love Angelo and Johnny and Sal are like goofy brothers. I couldn't put this book down. Enjoy
I rated this book 3.5 stars, so I rounded it up to 4 stars. If you don’t like insta-love low-angst happy stories then this book isn’t for you. I enjoyed this book but enjoyed book 1 more than this book. Vinny has run the streets his whole life, with his two best friends by his side, as his bodyguards. He now leads one of the most successful crime syndicates in the city. Vinny likes control, he makes the rules and he never asks for permission. He’s totally used to dealing with people as greedy and impatient as him, so he’s completely thrown for a loop when a pure hearted beautiful young man named Lucas comes to him for help. Lucas has had a string of bad luck lately and is in major debt due to his mother’s dr*g debt.
Once Vinny hears his story he offers to help the young man. he offers him two choices for repayment, he can either work at one of his businesses or he can belong to me but he’d have to follow my instructions to a tee. Lucas decides that he wants to belong to Vinny. Considering Lucas lived on the worst street in the city I did find he was very naive about things but at least he now has Vinny and his friends/family in his corner. I thought that Vinny and Lucas were great together and Vinny definitely was a “good” bad guy, and was a total softy where Lucas was concerned. I thought the chemistry between Vinny and Lucas was off the charts. I’m looking forward to reading the final book in the series. I’d recommend this book, series and author to others.
