I'm gonna give up reading this two authors, the last books from them didn't work for me. This one seemed interesting, bodyguard and a Rockstar What can go wrong? Well, a lot.

The beginning was actually decent, the prelude to the main plot was well done, I got to know the characters, the backgrounds and a little bit of the personalities. And then they met and right away: oh my god I want u in my pants *eyeroll*, noooo, don't do it author for the love of god!... But they did, so the connection was lost right there.

Then the story happened, there were inconsistencies, there were facts that weren't there and the personalities confused me sometimes. The crime was resolved in a very stupid way, that confrontation didn't last like six pages, so yeah totally WTF. I even skipped some sex scenes at the end and I NEVER do that, but I just wanted to finish it. *le sighs*

So yeah, I'm giving up! The ideas are awesome but for me, in my opinion, they can't deliver. On to the next! 🥰❤

From the title and the cover I was under the wrong impression this book was going to be a dark romance? So that was disappointing when I found out it wasn’t.

I think the characters are sweet and the plot is fine. The story is strangely addicting that can certainly keep you hooked until the end.

My main problem is that there’s so MUCH of the story that requires a suspension of belief because none of it makes any sense if you just think about it. For example, Silver is suddenly at risk of being killed because he decided to say how terrible and sleazy the band’s ex-manager is? If the guy is supposed to be like a Harvey Weinstein of the music world or maybe a Lou Pearlman (if one remembers back to the early days of the Backstreet Boys and NSYNC) one guy speaking up against him would get the story buried or just simply not reported on. There’s no way anyone would waste energy trying to kill the guy speaking up. And then there’s all the “security” measures put in place to protect Silver and it’s all just smoke and mirrors because it would actually end very easy to kill him if someone wanted to. The whole thing just doesn’t work for me, so unfortunately this is a DNF.

DNF @ 30%.

A Protector-Protectee trope which is one of my favorite tropes. I was really looking forward to reading this new series from these two amazing authors.

Bram and Sam/Silver had a brief history when they younger. Bram used to mow the lawn in Sam's house. One summer, Sam saved Bram from the wrath of his mother when Bram accidentally mowed through his mother's prize-winning roses. Sam was Bram's first crush.

Sam has been living a life wherein he has to pose as someone else, thus the name "Silver" for his alter persona in his band, Silver and the Moondrops. . When he filed a lawsuit against their manager who has been manipulating, blackmailing and getting a bigger percentage of the earnings of his talents, Sam/Silver's life started being threatened, to the point that he had to hire a bodyguard to protect him. Enter Bram.

Although they are mutually attracted to each other, Titan Security has a policy regarding having relationships with clients, they could lose their job. Fighting the attraction while trying to fight off a lunatic bent on killing him, Sam is just about to bow down from exhaustion and pressure due to his worry over his bandmates and all the other talents under Cartwright. But he will not back down, Cartwright's manipulation has gone on for too long. It has to stop.

I love these kinds of stories, there are a lot of facets to focus on, action, suspense, attraction, and ultimately love. I have read several books from this duo and I love them all.

Silver "Sam" seeks to hire protection from Titan Security after there are several attempts on his life. He knows who is doing this to him. Reporting your manager to the police for nefarious deeds is never a simple task. Especially when this person is wiling to take your life to save his skin and power in the music industry.

Abraham "Bram" is the bodyguard assigned to the up and coming rock star. A blast from his past, he is unsure of this assignment. Personal feelings can get in the way and he does not want to go back to his small town. Not given a choice in the matter by his boss, he and one of the other bodyguards of Titan Security, do instructed.

Naturally Sam drools all over his new protection, not realizing who he is at first introduction. For Bram, protecting your first crush can wreak havoc on your heart and job.
Bram and Sam proved they have staying power. Having a painful past was hard to overcome. Is was entertaining to watch their entire relationship unfold, grow, and strengthen despite the obstacles.

Full of suspense, chemistry, intrigue, and a happily ever after!

Very excited for book two, Ajax's story.

I just love a mystery but add hot bodyguards and gorgeous rockstars and you've got a romance that will keep you totally invested from the first page to the last. Because you just have to know who is stalking and trying to hurt Silver and if Bram can save him and of course whether Silver and Bram will find their way together forever.

Bram and Sam's story was a hard one at times. I wasn't sure that they were ever going to get out of their own way to figure out what they wanted and get the relationship that they wanted.

I felt so sorry for Liam. That had to be so hard.

I love bodyguard & musician romance stories, and for me I found this one to be extremely good. It’s well written with interesting characters from some characters withholding information; others have secrets of betrayal, and a very important crazy manager who seeks revenge by death. As the book moved along it kept me enthralled as it became a page-turner.

I loved Bram Jameson, who becomes the bodyguard for Silver Stone, also known as Sam. Bram knew Silver when they grew up in the same town. Bram was the boy who mowed the lawn at Silver’s parent’s house. Bram had had a crush on the older boy, Sam, at the time.

Sam was older than Bram and the old boy had saved Bram’s job that he needed to buy food for his family. Bram had mowed down Sam’s mother’s prize roses and took the blame for the younger boy. Bram being from a poor family had to work to help, where Sam came from the richest family in town, but Sam wasn’t a spoilt brat. Sam wasn’t anything like his stuck-up mother and father.

It was Sam’s parents that had pushed him into music at a young age and brought Wesley Cartwright in to become his manager. Wesley Cartwright...is the biggest record producer in the world, known as the king, but he was also a very evil man. He preys on new singers and actors coming to LA. He monopolizes on them by drawing up sketchy contracts or uses blackmail to take more than half their money. Everyone was afraid of Cartwright.

Cartwright had been Silver’s band’s manager for 10 years and has taken the largest share of the money his band had earned. Silver had enough of being taken advantage of and went to the police and file charges against the man for cohesion, blackmail, and multiple fraud charges. Silver needed a bodyguard after attempts on his life and death threats. It came to the point he went back to his hometown to his parent’s house, they were off somewhere else.

His bandmates would follow Silver later. One band member was his best friend Liam. Having all of them under one roof would help protect them all at the same time.

I loved it when Bram became Silver’s bodyguard and Silver couldn’t help his attraction to his gorgeous new bodyguard. Little did Silver know but Bram still had a crush on the man. Along with Bram came Mack, a specialist in security programs and was there to put in the best security system there was.

The book brings a wonderful romance between the two men as betrayal happens within Silver’s house. There were attempts to get to Silver and left a threat on his walls while they were out. Then Silver’s best friend was getting quieter and Silver felt it was either Liam’s wife or what the band was going through, but as the story unfolds it was something that astonished Silver.

There’s more than one betrayal as the story continues on and things start to become heart-pounding as a killer is out for Silver and he walks right into an area he shouldn’t have. There is so much to this book that I can’t go into all of it. All I can say is I highly recommend the book! You won’t be disappointed.

Great Story & Narration🎧 Captivating & Intense!

His Dark Savior
Titan Bodyguards: Duty and Desire, Book 1
By: Aiden Bates, Ali Lyda
Narrated by: Austin Jay

This is a great rockstar and his bodyguard romance, the story is well written with original and interesting storylines that are captivating from start to end. Rockstar Silver “Sam” Stone has had enough with Wesley Cartwright, a power house in the industry who abuses his power and takes advantage of those in the business especially the young talent. He vows to take him down. But such a powerful man has many connections and Stone finds he is in danger and in need of a bodyguard. He turns to the best to get one, a Titan Bodyguard. Abraham “Bram” Jameson is former military and now works for Titan Corporation, his boss, Fargo, is one of his former commanders. Fargo assigns Bram to guard Stone because they are from the same home town in Pella, Illinois where Stone will be going back to for safety purposes. Fargo did not know that Bram had met Stone when he was a boy and he had a crush on him. Bram had changed since then and Stone did not recognize him. Bram and Mack were assigned together to work his security, with Mack more in the background and Bram more hands on. l liked that is was not your typical rockstar romance or even fall for your bodyguard romance, it was so much more. The chemistry between them was undeniable, Bram was conflicted between doing the right thing, not getting involved with a client, it would not only cost him but if he did not do his job right it could cost lives. I liked who everything plays out, the story is well plotted and there is plenty of drama, some angst, twists and turns, mystery, thrilling and suspenseful moments, heartfelt and emotional moments and some hot romance. Aiden Bates and Ali Lyda, thank you for this great story and emotional rollercoaster ride.

🎧📚🎧 And for the terrific narration, Austin Jay brings these characters to life, humanizes them giving each their own distinct voice which makes it easy to follow along and tell who is who. His portrayal of the characters is spot on, he grasps their persona, takes each role and makes it his own. You could hear how much heart he puts into his work as he captures the characters emotions and projects them into his performance. He is an entertaining storyteller and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for this great listen.

Thank you #GRR

I was given a free audio copy from the author and the GRR arc team for review.

Great book and a pretty good performance.

Bram and Silver grew up in the same town. Silver came from a rich snobby family and Bram actually worked for Silvers mother doing gardening/lawn care. Bram harbored a crush on Silver his whole life so when he gets called to be a bodyguard for rock star and he sees it's his school crush, he is shocked and the feelings are still there. Silver however doesn't remember him at first til he starts to put pieces together. What he does know right away though is that he's attracted to the bodyguard. The problems standing in their way are Silver isn't out, Bram isn't out and Bram can't mix business with pleasure. He is there to protect Silver after he accused his ex manager of misconduct and had recieved not only verbal threats on his life but also physical acts of harm. So Bram must keep his feelings out of the situation to keep Silver safe. The temptation however is just too hard to resist.

I really enjoyed this book and couldn't put it down. The premise is great and the plot was entertaining and kept my interest the whole way through. It didn't overreach and was believable. Just when you think that everything is obvious and predictable there is a little twist to surprisd you. At least I didn't expect it. I still would say this is a lower angst read though. The 2 main characters were well developed and had great chemistry. Their scenes together were very hot but they also had great chemistry outside of the physical. I would definitely recommend this book and will read more from these authors.

If I had any complaint it would be that the cover and even the title of the book gives off a much more intense vibe than the book actually entails. I actually almost passed it by for that reason alone as I don't like major action tropes and stereotypical tough hero types. But after reading the write up it called to me and I'm glad cause it really wasn't that kind of book and it really showed Bram in a softer side which was great.

The narrator had a great voice, kept a good pace and did a pretty good job expressing the emotions but he didn't really differentiate between the voices which was a little disappointing.

Looking forward to reading the next one. Even though I don't usually go for books about royalty the epilogue in this one has me intrigued. The Prince seems like a fun brat.

For the first time, I feel safe! Bram, a Vet works as a bodyguard. He tolerates all types of clients, even the women who try to seduce him. Luckily for him, he's gay. His boss, Fargo, has a no dating clients or co-workers code. He has had one of Sam's songs playing in his head and has to contorl his feelings. When they were younger, Bram had a massive crush on Sam. Sam/Silver is a pop singer in a group victimized by Cartwright was a predator agent, king maker who bullied and assaulted his clients. Cartwight blackmailed his clients and took most of their money. Liam is a bandmate who once dated Silver. They decided they were best as bandmates and friends. They reached a tipping point after observing Cartwright in action with several musicians. Sam filed a lawsuit. Afterwards, there were several attempts on his life. He hired a bodyguard and Bram was assigned his case. Coincidentallly, they came from teh same hometown. Bram, used to do work at Sam's house. He had a crush on the older Sam, who never paid attention to him. First meeting, Sam did not recognize him. Sam, was deep in the closet and thought Bram was extra hot! Sam had a complicated relationship with his parents which I found confusing. Sam and Bram had heavy baggage from their childhoods. Their stories were interesting, sad and intriguing. They both grew up well! They were good men, strong of character and fun guys. They fell into a guarded, tentative relationship of safety, sexy survival. Will Bram keep sam safe? Do they get Cartwright? Does Sam make it out of the closet? Does Bram tell Sam who he is? Do the townspeople recognize Bram. Good story! Well done! Another great book from this writing pairing and a brilliant opener for this series. Ali Lyda and Aiden Bates are pros when it comes to writing a 'family' series about hot alpha men finding, falling in love with and having great sex with other gorgeous men; all brought together through amazing stories and fantastic characters.

This book is as always an excellent read; well written, with obvious planning for future books already in place with the scene setting. The authors have used a topical news story as the baseline story for the book with a twist which has worked really well.

The two main characters have great chemistry together and as a reader you find yourself rooting for them all the way through. Their secondary cast are made up of some who I assume will be recurring and some who were specific to this book. The recurring ones are all very interesting and I really look forward to getting to know them. As an overall ensemble cast for this book it worked really well with the 'hub' building for the family coming into play as it does in all series.

As always with these authors' books there is perfect pace to the story, no wearyness to the story at anytime where you want to put it down or change books. I just wanted to read it to the end. You feel as though you're in the story, at that lunch, at that event, in that pub, walking that dog, watching them fall in love!

It's a great book, I'm totally recommending it because I loved it and can't wait for the next one xx

This book is amazing! The story of Bram and Silver is full of love, lust and betrayal and is well worth reading! Bram works as a bodyguard and his new assignment will take him to the one place he doesn't want to be - his small hometown. His new client, rock star Silver Stone, who Bram knew as Sam Stone when he was a kid. He also had a crush on Sam. Now Silver is being threatened when he finally decides to stand up against Wesley Cartwright, a powerful man who takes advantage of young stars like Silver. It will start the ball rolling on what will be a crazy rollercoaster ride. The band will be moved into Silver's childhood home but the trouble will start very quickly. Break ins, messages written on the walls, bandmates being attacked will only be the tip of the iceburg. Soon, Silver and Bram will be unable to fight the chemistry and attraction between them. The ultimate betrayal will come after Silver and Bram spend a wonderful night together and it will be a betrayal no one will see coming. But alls well that ends well and the good guys will triumph, a new truth will be learned and Bram and Silver will get their chance at more.

** 3.5 stars** His Dark Savior is the 1st book in the Titan Bodyguards Series and so it’s no surprise given the name that it falls into the common bodyguard trope. Here, rock star Silver “Sam” hires Titan Security for protection after several attempts have been made on his life. Bram is the bodyguard assigned to protect him. Just so happens that Bram has harbored a crush on Sam for years - ever since he was a teenager - because they’re both from the same small Midwestern town and have some history together. Sam came from wealth and Bram was from the proverbial other side of the tracks. In the present, Sam is wildly attracted to Bram, and there’s some serious chemistry between them. I'd liked both Sam and Bram; they were well-developed characters with depth.

That being said, I’m on the fence about this story. There’s so much of it that is trite, and there are some details that just don't make sense in context. However, it does gather momentum as the story goes on, and there's suspense and twists and turns that ultimately make it a bit different. On the whole, I’m not sure all the pieces hung together quite right, but it was an enjoyable enough read to keep me interested, and piqued my interest in reading the next one in the series.

Popular rock star Sam, known as “Silver”, goes public about abuse he and others have suffered from a powerful corrupt ex-manager. For his protection against resulting threats, he hires a former soldier from Titan Bodyguards, Bram. Bram recognizes Sam from their hometown as the guy he has had a crush on since he was a teenager! That won't make his job easy. Silver is immediately attracted to his new bodyguard and has no problem with trying to tempt him into something. Bram struggled to keep things professional, but his desire had never gone away. Regardless of his determination, the feelings are strong and becoming impossible to ignore.

This story has a little bit of everything to keep the reader fully engaged in the story line. The characters are very likable, and the reader knows how difficult it is for them to fight their feelings while knowing how important it is to keep focused on the protection aspect. Yet their connection is deep and the reader will feel their struggle that inevitably evolves into genuine feelings and the realization that they have fallen in love. Will Bram keep Silver safe? Will they finally be able to claim their HEA?

Bram loves being a bodyguard but unfortunately you can’t always pick your clients. He’s glad to be finally done with his last assignment. However when he’s given his next assignment he thinks he’d rather go back to guarding the has been actress. His next assignment is none other than his long time crush and rock star, Silver aka Sam.

Silver finally decided to expose his former manager for the slime ball he is but attempts on his life have been made so he’s had to hire a bodyguard. What he was not expecting was the man to be hot as sin. Silver has to put his desires away because there’s no way he can be out. It would ruin his career and that of his band. He can’t do that to the people who’ve stuck by him.

Silver is finding it hard to ignore Bram and the closer they work together the more difficult it’s become to hide his attraction.

This is a pretty good start to a new series. There were some parts that didn’t quite make sense to me but overall I enjoyed the book. I’m looking forward to exploring the other books in the series.

Someone who feels like home..his Savior

Great start to a new series. I absolutely enjoyed this story about a bodyguard who has been crushing on his client since his teen years. Bram was given the opportunity to protect Silver. Try as he might to be professional with Silver but once reunited with him that was trial and struggle. Silver was instantly attracted and did all he could to tempt Bram. Their romance was so sweet and sometimes intense. I was constantly on edge. Let me tell you that scene in the bathroom ... Bram brought out the no holds barred sensual play...he had me and Silver going crazy...that was the BEST scene EVER. I felt bad for Silver's parents being douche bags, Bram's brother being the ultimate douche then twist at the end with Bram's partner kept me fully involved in this story. The guys had a wonderful and deserving HEA and whooooa boy I can't wait for the next story in the series with Bram friend Ajax...that's gonna be good.

Silver its his name and has been since he was the lead singer for the Moonstone but know one really knows him and certainly not his secrets but when he sees a friend in the same position as he once was he knows he has to do something even if its going against the most powerful and dangerous man in LA. But then the threats start its time to get help and to go home. I didn't recognize him when I met him again Bram he's gorgeous and hes everything I want but we aren't supposed to be together im not out and hes my bodyguard.

Bram has been with Titan Security since he left the military and hes had some shady and hilarious clients and few he wanted to strangle but his new cass is going to bring home to his first crush Sam but hes a client and its forbidden. Will he choose his job or his client.

These two have plenty of chemistry and sweetness from there first meeting till the last kiss with some drama and betrayal in between.

I was allowed to read and advance copy of this book via Booksprout and this is my honest review.

His Dark Savior by authors Ali Lyda and Aiden Bates is the first book in the Titan Bodyguard: Duty and Desire series. This for me was an okay start. I had a real problem with the connection between Bram and Silver. I was not feeling that connection for me that ruins the entire romance. They were good friends I just didn’t feel the heat from them. This story is told in dual POV which is very helpful in getting into the minds of both characters.

Silver is a rock star. He has had several attempts on his life. So he hires a bodyguard. Silver is a very likable character. Full of sass and creativity.

Bram is a bodyguard. He is used to having rich spoiled clients. But Silver is different. He is more than just a job for him. Bram has a good sense of humor and is pretty laid back when he has to be.

I liked these two together. I just was not feeling the heat on this one. So this is an okay story to me. Good one time read.

His First Crush

When Abraham's boss gave him his next assignment he was shocked, it involved him having to return to his hometown Pella, Illinois, and guard Silver Stone . Abraham had known Silver when he was still being called Samuel, before he become famous with his band, Silver and the Moondrops. He hadn't been back to Pella for years and he tried to convince his boss that it would be better if somebody else took the assignment...before he knew it , he was back in Pella and with Samuel...his first crush!
Tension is high as going against such a powerful man as Wesley Cartwright is very dangerous....and Abraham's feelings for Samuel are confusing and powerful. He needs to concentrate on keeping Samuel safe even though Samuel is just as determined that Abraham should be more than just his bodyguard.
Fantastic plot, so much going on..and lots of heat between Abraham and Samuel, page turner wíth lots of twists and turns.

I found this story so touching! The poor guy from the wrong side of the tracks has a rare occasion to encounter the beautiful rich boy he has yearned for. The beautiful rich boy grows to be a talented singer who's in the closet and the poor guy has become a bodyguard after his time in the military. Working for Titan Security Agency, Abraham (Bram) Jameson is charged with returning to his hometown to protect his crush from years ago Silver (Samuel) Stone from an evil manager who isn't afraid to have him injured, possibly even killed. Bram is tied in knots when his ability to have the boy of his childhood dreams clashes with his ability to keep a job that means the world to him. He cannot have a relationship with the client and continue to work with the client. The story resolves realistically, which means all is NOT perfect. There were sacrifices that had to be made. The narrator, Austin Jay, was so truly perfect for this book and I liked it much better than I thought I would!

Abraham aka Bram is ex military he now works for a security company that employs LGBT workers some are and some aren’t, after finishing his last bodyguard job Bram should of had a couple of weeks off but his boss gave him a new assignment and that’s to protect a rockstar Bram had a bad feeling about this assignment and he was right when he found out that it was Samuel a boy that he loved from his childhood. Samuel aka Silver is part of a band called Silver and the Moondrops he’s also gay but not a lot of people know, Silver is determined to make Wesley Cartwright pay for what he does to young and clueless artists but now Silver’s life has been threatened and he needs a bodyguard and that bodyguard is Bram. Sorry guys that’s all I’m going to give, this is a fantastic story I loved it and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.

Silver is a music star, singer of a popular group, when he decides to go against one of the most dangerous people in the business, bringing charges against him on extortion and sexual harassment. The result is devastating. Almost immediately someone tries to kill him. He hires a bodyguard and as he plans to return to his small hometown his bodyguard is chosen by the same criteria. A man from the same town. But while Silver came from the richest family in town, Bram, the bodyguard, came from the other side of the tracks. Polar opposites, they still feel a strong attraction.
An interesting set-up, with a lot of social baggage on both sides making a relationship not easy.
An engaging story, with some thrilling episodes and some sweet scenes.

Great storyline and overall conclusion but there were parts that didn’t fit or seemed rushed. I love that Bram got a chance with his childhood crush and Silver got his HEA but there didn’t seem to be much depth to the relationship other than the fact that they grew up in the same little town. Also, Liam’s character didn’t flow very well, I didn’t like him and I think he got off way too easily in the end. As for the way the villain’s story finally played out...there was really no lead up to it and then it was over so fast if you blinked you missed it. I didn’t like that Mack played a roll in hurting Silver because he was so close to Bram...if Liam got off, than why didn’t he...nothing really made sense.

I hope Ajax and Ryden’s story is a bit better because I love these two authors together and from the last chapter, it sounds like the next Titan’s to fall in love might be a good one.

Loved this work and am looking forward to the next work. There is so much going on with this work that at the end you are kind of blown away by everything. The plot was fantastic and the characters each battled their own demons. The way their story was woven together was fantastic. I felt what they were feeling, experiencing their confusion and struggles; I cried with them. I couldn’t put it down, just had to keep reading it.

I give this work a five out of five stars. The plot was great and the characters melded well together. I couldn’t put it down and I look forward to reading the next in the series.

Bram (Abraham) grew up on the wrong side of the tracks while Sam's folks owned the tracks. Chance encounters gave Bram his first crush. Now, many years later, they are together with Bram being the bodyguard to Sam (Silver)'s rock-star. Chemistry sparks from the beginning but Silver is caught in a public persona that doesn't allow him to be himself and now he is in danger for speaking the truth. These characters are shown with all their strengths and weaknesses in a story of intrigue, betrayal, loyalty, and danger. The plot twists keep the reader guessing and the action keeps the reader engaged. Once again we have a really good read from a couple of consistent authors. I’m reviewing the audio edition. This is the start of a new series. Usually, I’m not much for rock star stories but this one caught my eye and I really enjoyed it. Silver (Sam) needs a bodyguard. When he sees the bodyguard assigned to him, Bram, he is attracted but does not remember him. They grew up in the same town but in different circles. Both come from dysfunctional families so home town is something different for each. Bram isn’t looking forward being assigned to guard Silver, the first boy he had a crush on. When they are put together attraction is stronger than anything else. The narration by Austin Jay was great. His voice fit the characters and made the story that much more enjoyable. **Audio Review**

Silver and Bram weren't my favorite characters, but I still really enjoyed listening to their romance unfold. From rockstar diva behavior to heart-pumping action sequences, these two kept me on my toes for the entire audio. Unlike some stories where the "surprise plot twist" is really obvious, I was completely shocked when I found out who was working with the bad guys. These authors did a really nice job of pacing the story so I never knew what to expect. Austin Jay is a new narrator for me, and I liked the way he voiced the characters without being over-the-top.

Lovely romance & outstanding read

You are going to adore Bram and Sam (aka Silver)!

When Sam courageously stands against somebody very powerful, he selflessly puts his life in danger. Bram gets assigned as his bodyguard, but the two have unexpectedly met before ... Will they be able to navigate their relationship without losing their jobs and keep each other safe?

These guys are the sexy, the laughter and the forbidden longing. From the moment these two lock eyes you just FEEL their chemistry and the connection between them.

I think they both found their “lover who feels like home”. Enjoy escaping into their exciting journey!!

*Spoiler* This book does have triggering content such as blackmail and attempted murder.
