Dennis has a young girl in the basement. Her aborted fetus in the freezer. Bags filled with bloody overflow. Cat skins drying in front of the fan. Half burnt biohazard in the garden. A bill from the neighbor's vet, and an accusation of animal abuse. Jim Morrison eating Ma’s face in the bathroom. It wasn’t even noon.

Another great read from Elizabeth Bedlam. This one started off sick and deranged and only got worse from there. Dennis lives with his mother and cat, Jim Morrison. He performs back- alley surgeries after being kicked out of medical for "an incident with a porn star's corpse". He soon realizes the real money is in crude abortions.
This story has all the elements I've come to love in a Bedlam story: darkness, filth, humor, gore, sex and fucked up characters. This author is quickly becoming a favorite of mine with her novella length works and short stories. Do yourself a favor and read Elizabeth Bedlam.
If anybody wonders why it takes me so long to finish other people's work, it's because Bedlam keeps releasing stories! Haven't felt this much sympathy for a protagonist in ages, feel like Dennis's struggling to find time to finish Jim Morrison's cat coat while all these girls want sex is a perfect metaphor for my efforts to finish long novels while having to write all these erotic shorts because it's all the market will fucking read. Love this one. Jim Morrison is definitely the star of the show :3
'Diverging darkness, depravity, death and destruction - yes, that's Bedlam!'
Right, now where to start with this funny, bizarre and weirdly absorbingly abstract little read? The answer to that is quite simply...erm...errrrrm...ohhh, I have absolutely no bloody idea!
Key words, in no particular order - cats, sex, female disciples, prostitutes, abortionist, loner, basement, death, fire, burial, cult, van, livelihood, money, cats, cats and more cats. Now put all of those words together, jumble them up and make an ordered, entertaining, lighthearted, off-beat, black comic tale, which just continues to draw you in. It can be done - this is the living proof.
Crazy, wacky and weird, but also kinda really good fun. If you read Bedlam then you know what to expect - spiralling down, down and further down - right to the very end. Enjoy the journey, I certainly did!
Rating: 4.1 crazy cat cult sex stars.
"Oh, to be Jim Morrison - now that's the life for me!!"
A different kind of story about a man and his cat. This is a novella, but a lot of stuff happens. This is highly disturbing in the right way. Filled with lots of sex and gore.
As disgusting as her last book. Can’t fault it. The story starts off exactly as you’d think given the title then gets stranger. Fabulous gore, visuals and smells abound. Can’t get a ouch bedlam.
Excellent, fast pace extreme horror novella which kept my attention from beginning to end. This was my first taste of Elizabeth Bedlam, and I am officially addicted. Scrape starts off strong, and doesn't let up off the gas until the very end. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!
