Life as a plaything of the divines is harder than it sounds.

As one of the downtrodden in Eden’s Meadow, TJ has led a life of scraping by as best he could. With little more to his name than a winning smile, his life takes a turn for the interesting as he befriends Serina, a rebellious young woman among the god-like Devas that control his realm. Being a test subject for her magic seems innocent enough, even if she occasionally tinkers with things she shouldn’t.

Unfortunately, her experiments on him don’t go unnoticed and as soon as her family finds out, he’s as good as dead. About to be pulped by dozens of angry higher powers, Serina saves him the only way she can: by binding his soul to hers and flinging him through a portal to another world.

Landing in the realm full of dangerous creatures and sinister adversaries, he finds that the pact has changed him in more ways than claiming his soul. The newly minted adventurer has his work cut out for him, especially since he doesn’t have any idea how to use the magic that’s been stuffed into him, much less what to do about the oaths that require him to love freely and spend his nights carousing.

Join TJ on this riveting adventure that spans multiple worlds and help him discover the secrets of the Devas as he struggles to survive and fulfill his oaths.

Disclaimer: This series features a protagonist raised in a higher realm where free love and indulgence are the norm and has a set of morals and ethics that are different from our own. His story includes building harem-like relationships with multiple devoted women, and does not fade to black. Also, this story is not game-lit, it doesn't feature crunchy rules-heavy stories, there's not a stat in the house, the MC doesn't exploit world mechanics, nor is it for the faint of heart. For 18+ readers only.

He's got over 20 years in the IT field, much of it centered around security and cutting edge technology. Too much misandry against the MC

Decent story, but I barely finished because of the blatant disrespect shown to the man by his own women. What kind of male author writes that? He must be marketing to ungrateful women who verbally abuse men.

Almost Scared Off; Glad I Risked It

I saw "free love " in the description and almost passed this book up, but the same description called the girls devoted, so I risked it. I'm of the group that believes harems have a strong male as the center of a group of dedicated women, and that the relationships couldn't work without him. Way too much free love in my haremlit these days, so I have to be careful. I even dislike when the protagonist is a manwhore outside of his harem, except to add to it. This story did scare me a few times when the protagonist would start getting introspective about his relationships and start hinting about how he'd be okay with his harem basically seeking additional love with others. However, the women remained faithful. They didn't even fool around with each other when the protagonist wasn't involved, which is something else too prevalent in haremlit.

Also, the world building, character interactions, writing style, and editing are all top notch. It fell short of five stars for me because of the free love scare and how some actions were glossed over and then a summary of what happened given.

Enjoyable book, characters are fun and story is engaging. The world created is interesting with plenty of detail, and dialogue between characters is natural and flows nicely. However, I did have some issues with pacing, mainly towards the end of the book.

The dungeon chapters seemed to drag, and the ending felt rather abrupt. I'd have really liked a couple more chapters or a longer epilogue to round things off a bit more. Additionally the decision to completely skip a certain scene at the end which had been built up for the past 30 chapters seems like an odd choice, and unfortunately left a bit of an unsatisfying aftertaste .

Nevertheless, despite the issues I had with the ending, I still enjoyed it on the whole and will be picking up the next book in the series.

Very entertaining

This was a fun story. The MC is at times blithely going through the world he ends up, at other times semi-sentient of the world around him. The only reason this works is because this is an isakai type story, and the new world is at once close enough to let it seem that these blind spots are understandable, but different enough that after a while, even someone of special density should understand them. Overall well written, and certainly entertaining enough where I look forward to book two.

Non-stop action with a little romance on the side

I really enjoyed this story it had a lot going for it it had action it had a character that was not overpowered. He truly cared for the women in his life and for those around him. He was a little bit naive but his heart was in the right place. The women in his life were strong characters and each had their own personalities and it added flavor to the story. This is a fun fantasy with larger than Life characters. I hope to read a continuation of this story.

Fresh take on haremlit

I really enjoyed reading this book. The story flows well and the smut enhanced it nicely. It is funny to read and has got a few nods to other well known stories. I liked the style and the characters are believable.
There were some minor typos and autocorrect artefacts which were absolutely ok for self publication.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book and it is well worth your time.

No major complaints

It's pretty good, the main character is sort of annoyingly loyal and sappy about everything. I wouldn't mind if that wasn't the case with every woman he knows maybe just some of them. The magic system is also pretty inconsistent and seems to be whatever they need at a given time, probably have to put a bit more time/thought into that. Overall though it's a fun read no major complaints.

I seriously enjoyed this book. It surprised me. I’ve had it in my kindle along with a few of his other works for awhile but got sidetracked and forgot I had them. Book has really good action,I love the storyline and the way it progressed. Plenty of action and the dialogue actually made me laugh out loud on many occasions. I highly recommend you check this author and this book out!! Definitely buying book 2 and I’m following Joe Kuster on Facebook as well as Amazon

Fun and Thoughtful

The intro fakes you into thinking that the story is going to be simpler than it is. Then you’re left in an interesting, thoughtful, action-filled yarn that’s also funny and fun to read. The editing is very good, and there’s also a scattering of pop literary references to enjoy. Finally, the book is big! A great long read compared to similar stories. The sex is nicely balanced: detailed but not over done. Definitely recommended (18+)

Total beta cuck mc

The MC isn't even an MC. He has no personality of his own. He gets told by these women that are his? And that he has all the power over and can control but he doesn't because... no one would ever do that? He can't hardly think for himself. Always apologizing for no reason and nothing. He's the boss yet acts like he's the bitch? Never decides whats best for for him and his self interest. Total role reversal beta cuck bullshit novel.

Great new series from author

Great character development and interesting story. The start is a little slow but pace picks up and keeps the reader captivated. This was one of the better stories I read in 2020 in both Harem and LitRpg.

Great expiation for why story was told without litrpg character sheets slipped into conversation in epilogue.

Loved it

This was a very good start to a new series. It had action, character development and world building. The book had a lot of funny parts and even a cameo by everyone’s favorite mimic. A couple of the mc’s oath requirements are too funny and made me lol a few times. I look forward to the next book.

Captivating Read!

I loved the flow of the book, the world building and hints of other places and the gods. Reminds me of Q to some degree. Looking forward to the next book for sure! Loved how long it was too, usually I can finish Arand or Schinhofen books in a day, this one kept me reading for nearly 3.

Solid effort I enjoyed

I’m not a gamer so a story written like this without a lot of the game style story elements is better for me. The characters are developed sufficiently to support their role in the story and likable enough that you get invested in them.
I’m looking forward to more installments in the story, please continue.

Excellent story and good world building

Excellent story telling, which is honestly the main reason I read. The author has good world building, granted it was slow starting, but it's understandable.
The MC isn't overpowered to begin with and he grows as he progresses. I am looking forward to seeing more of this series.

Lightfoot

A well written book that feels like it came from a seasoned pro with lots of writing experience. I only noticed one typo ally instead of alley, other than that this is a well paced, well though out book with plenty of character development and a good if slightly weak conclusion. Will I be reading more ? You bet your ass I will. Well done sir.

Quite an Adventure

This book was a pleasure to read. It provided several solid hours of entertainment while wondering what was going to happen next. Excellent storyline, great storytelling, great characters, and all in all a reader’s delight. Imaginative authoring that I highly recommend.

Fun story!

I really enjoyed reading this book. The story and characters are written well. It is not really a comedy, but there were a number of fun parts, jokes, and situations that referenced genre tropes or even other books in a really fun way. I would totally recommend picking up this book if you enjoy the genre.

Truly enjoyable read

Great story arc with a murderous demon cat. I mean who doesn't love cats, succubus, bards and Angel from the Xmen. Looking forward to the next novel in this series

Well Joe Kuster has created a very fun world filled with extremely fleshed out characters. The depth of the plot is still being revealed, and each new detail is a great discovery. Looking forward to the next book in the series.

Great Book

Really enjoyed your book Joe. I'm so so on harem stories, but the loving wasn't over the top. Great mc and supporting cast, no complaints. Look forward to the next one. I'm headed out to read your other series. Thanks for the entertainment.

I enjoyed it

It was nice to have a bit different of a protagonist. I enjoyed that he's not all good nor all bad, it felt more refreshing than others in the genre. Although it's oddly similar to the Binding Words series...

Great new addition to the genre

Really well written romp. Slow start, but quickly gets it's feet under it and tells a compelling story. Harem aspects are light and not ham fisted. Interesting take on "gods". Looking forward to where the story goes.
