Elyse is convinced only drunkards and children tell the truth, and believes the insults Wrage hurled at her were unforgivable. Except no one told him the local brew was ten times more potent to his race than any other. Their relationship is forged on this major blunder and doesn’t get any better when Elyse agrees to be legally mated to earn her freedom, and doesn’t learn that divorce isn’t allowed until after the branding ceremony. With a beginning like this, how can a sexy alien and sassy human not fall in love?

Elyse
Okay, I’ll admit, his angsty attitude doesn’t diminish his white-hot attraction. And since our catastrophic introduction he’s done everything but get down on his knees and apologize--oh yeah, that comes later and . . . wow, that apology was hot enough to melt titanium. At any rate, even if I’m falling for the male who’s already my mate, we need to keep our hands to ourselves, right? I mean why let emotions get in the way when we’re mandated by law to stay together forever?

Wrage
I’m the first to admit we got off to a rocky start, but she was the one who was sober when the officiant branded us during our mating ceremony. I find her beautiful, though, and when she lets down her protective walls, how can I help but fall for her?

This 'enemies to lover's story has everything -- action, fighting, near-death experiences, and climaxes. Yeah, lots and lots of climaxes. Alana thinks this is her most romantic book thus far, even if these two have a rough beginning.

"Wrage" has flying camels, a reptilian villain, and dancing in the stars -- really.
As well as cool vocal licks, a virtual trip to the Copacabana, and of course an evil parent thrown in to round out the trials and tribulations Alana throws at these two deserving souls before they get their guaranteed happily ever after.

If you like handsome alien males with a knack for heroism, and females who save the day more than once, then join Wrage and Elyse in this standalone eleventh book of the alien abduction romance series, Galaxy Gladiators.

"Wrage" has no cheating, no cliff-hangers, and a guaranteed happily ever after. Due to mature themes, this book and all others in this series, are intended for readers 18+.

The stories in the Galaxy Gladiators series can all be read as standalones, although if you enjoy seeing characters from previous books again as they grow and develop, you'll want to follow the books in order as they are full of that rich, delicious 'found-family trope' where people with nothing in common, form connections that are stronger than blood.

An absolutely beautiful story. Tough, hard gladiator Wrage has a marshmallow center. This book gives all the feels. Enemies to lovers and what a love story including a wicked witch mother and gladiator fights to the death as Wrage and Elyse are captured. I want a Wrage for myself.

I received this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.
Elyse is a singer "off-world" doing her job when she is heckled by a huge blue alien. She gives back as good as she gets, but then finds out at the end of the evening that she has been sold to the alien. He's more than three sheets under the weather and somehow they both end up in a marriage chapel, where they go through the "Mating Ceremony" They say their vows and are branded, but then after the niceties are out of the way she discovers she's hooked to this big blue guy for life - no way out - at all! What follows is a truly amazing story of two totally different beings discovering things about each other while being plummeted from one catastrophe to another. The building of the relationship between Elyse and Wrage makes for a beautiful story that I would recommend to every reader out there who loves paranormal, love stories, hot sex scenes, even hotter aliens and all round interesting reading by an author who has one hell of an imagination.

Another gem in the gladiator universe. Contains possible spoilers.

I received a free ARC in exchange for a review for Wrage. Contains possible spoilers.
I really liked Elyse and Wrage's unconventional hate to love story. It was interesting to see the gladiator universe beyond the two ships and also to see the Pirates again! I only wish Wrage's mother could have got her fair share of karma and then some more just to be certain she suffered for what she did. My favourite character in this was Analac - he made me chuckle as he compounded their issues at the start but turned out good for them in the end !!!

I absolutely loved this book! Worth more than 5 stars, I think. A very entertaining plot, with enough action to keep your attention.
My favorite part was their first meeting and the next day, especially when they found out that they could not get a divorce and had to stay together. Hilarious!! I also enjoy how the pirates made another appearance....

I received a free copy of this book and I am voluntarily and honestly leaving this review.

Wrage and Elyse start out rough but quickly find their way to each other until fate has other ideas. They lean on each other and use the strength and courage they have to make it through. Get ready for steamy and romantic scenes. On a side note...I can’t wait to find out what happens to Allura...AKA “It”.

It all seemed so easy. Marry an inebriated alien. Get freed from being a slave. Get a divorce and be free to do what you want. Easy peasy right? Wrong! You will love this book as two very different people try to undo their marriage. Maybe somebody should have read the fine print.

This was a great read! The hero and heroine get off to a bumpy start at first, but thankfully that doesn't last long. The story moved right along with great imagery, action, and steamy sexy time. It kept me engrossed to the last page. Definitely recommend!

A chance encounter on a distant planet unites two individuals scarred from their time as slaves. Together they meet challenges that threaten their future and receive help from unexpected sources. Wrage and Sybil work through their issues and quickly become an important member of the Galaxy Gladiators Universe. The scenes are so clear and concise that the reader will swear they are there. A must read.

Wrage is not a happy drunk and unfortunately that’s how he met Elyse. What starts out as insane rage slowly morphs into caring, then tenderness and finally love. Some scenes are so vivid and moving, you can picture it as clearly as a movie. Just when you’re sure they’ll get their happy ending, revenge from a spiteful female spells disaster..... in multiples

Don’t need enemies with a MIL like that …

While this story could be read as a stand-alone, I personally DON’T consider it to be, and recommend it be read in the series’ publication date order. So not only will it increase reader satisfaction, but it will make the story universe that much more dynamic. There are also common themes, concurrent timelines and new characters introduced with Wrage (previous story) and Elyse, but they interact with Captain Zar and all of the others that we know and love from the previous stories.

** In the series, there are multiple scenes, themes and references to subjects that will be difficult for sensitive readers. These include abduction, enslavement, forced mating, and trafficking. A high-level list is included below. **

— Although I try to watch it, if you have not read this (or the previous stories in the series), the following may contain spoilers. —

The format of this series is one of the things I really love about it. While it is dark, the subject matter also makes it easy for it to expand and introduce new circumstances, antagonists, and worlds. All of the things that is needed to keep it from being repetitious and me engaged.

I mention the following for readers such as myself that visualize the story as it is read, because errors interrupt the flow. This is a very well written story. There are only a couple of errors, but nothing difficult to interpret. I found one incorrect word tense and an issue in the description of the next story as it relates to the characters’ names. I uploaded my notes to goodreads for anyone interested.

As mentioned above, this story’s timeline is partially concurrent with the previous story. Wrage was a gladiator and was rescued in Dax’s story. It begins after they are arrive for their week of R & R on the pleasure island. The latest group of warriors decide to go to the more risqué location that has many wonderfully hilarious descriptions and titles (I would recommend this story for those ‘titles’ alone). A few of them are drinking and listening to a singer, but Wrage is really heckling her. He is telling her, and everybody else in the bar, what he thinks of her singing. There are also some ‘whew, I can’t believe he said that’ and ROFL moments.

His fellow warriors try to point out how ‘mean’ he is being, how she is just following orders (hello, pain / kill collar), and how he was in the same boat a week ago, but Wrage just wouldn’t hear it.

Finally he leaves and goes to gamble. Elyse is relieved until he comes back bragging how much he won and starts with her again. Then he latest ‘master’ approaches him and the two of them start to have a serious discussion. The last time she saw him in that type of conversation, Elyse got him as a new owner. Please, even God wouldn’t be that cruel … until he is.

Wrage is plastered and Elyse learned the hard way to obey and keep her head down. So she follows measly behind him until he stops in front of what would be a wedding chapel in Las Vegas. Elyse tries to convince him that it was a bad idea until she finds out from the proprietor that she would be set free if they married, as slaves can’t mate.

She isn’t even concerned that he told her that it was forever. After all she heard her mother pledge the same thing multiple times. Elyse can do the same thing. Requires they be branded, momentary pain for a lifetime of freedom — bring it on. The next morning after Wrage wakes up, they go to dissolve their marriage. Seems the proprietor was right, they are stuck together … forever or they go to prison for life … uh oh!

⛔️ Series contains references to, or scenes detailing, subject matter that may be a trigger or offensive to some, including, but not limited to: adult language; derogatory terms; mental health challenges with depression, anxiety, panic attacks, PTSD, etc.; steamy adult intimate scenes with dominance, submission, non-consensual multiple partners, forced mating, etc.; violence throughout typical of the alien abduction genre such as kidnapping / abduction, murder / death, torture, assault, rape, fighting, human (species) trafficking, enslavement, pain/kill collar, mental, physical and sexual abuse of adults, prostitution, coercion, etc.

4 1\2fabulous 🌟's for Wrage&Elyse

There is something that keeps me coming back for more every time I read a book by Alana Khan. I tried narrowing it down to one thing but I couldn't it's a combination of the action, adventure , surly alpha males that realize they have more love to give them they ever thought possible and the strong feisty human women who love them. Elyse, was taken 4 years ago she's been abused horribly and sold 4 times and is now being heckled by a huge rude alpha male while she sings. If he wasn't so stuck and a huge asshat her be super attractive borderline gorgeous. Wrage, escaped gladiator trying to find a bit of fun is staring at a beautiful! Human female that looks like the woman who sold him out and took all his credits when he was a slave. He gets roaring drunk and somehow ends up branded and mate to the human he treated so poorly when he was drunk. Elyse and Wrage need to find away to get past their initial meeting and look for the true heart of each other if they want to survive a mating that will last a lifetime. As they discover each other they end up meeting the mother in law from hell, she awful, sold into slavery again, to the death fighting pits and so much more. While all this is happening souls meet and love blossoms and allows this couple to not only survive but thrive totally worth reading I highly recommend it!💖💖💖💖💖💖

Elyse is a slave singing in a nightclub. One night she's mercilessly heckled by a drunken 'Blue Devil'( as she calls him) who says terrible things to her. (don't hate him, this is not who he is)
Wrage (aka, Blue Devil) thinks she looks like the female, who along with his former master, conned him out of the money he was saving to buy his freedom. He leaves the lounge, goes to the casino, and comes back in a drunken stupor and rich. He not only buys her from her master but, marries her.
The next morning, they both agree to an immediate divorce but find out their mated for life! It can't be undone. Ever.
Not only that, but they're given a "mating consummation kit". They must swab their fluids after, then send them back to the marriage office in a set amount of time. Comply or spend life in prison.
Wrage is determined not to dislike her because of his past. Elyse starts to see him in a whole new light, an attractive one. She finds out that he's kind, funny, gentle and generous. But she wants to keep it platonic. It's not long before Wrage changes his mind about giving her a platonic, emotionless, passionless relationship. And he's determined to change the way she's thinking as well.
This is a journey of misdirected emotions that turn into hot lust, (that which has been seen cannot be unseen ;) ) into the blazing passion and intensity that is love! So glad i was able to take that ride with them!
They helped each other find a freedom that was inside themselves. I fell in love with them.
The way his mother, , , I don't blame Elyse at all for what she did.
This story had me on a roller coaster right along with them. I was up and laughing, down and sad.
Terrified, shocked and finally happy again. It left me with a few questions about some new characters, but i can see them in my mind in the new adventures of the 'Galaxy Gladiators', so i'm good. BRING ON THE NEXT ADVENTURE!
Steamy. Funny, Action-packed, Unpredictable. Page-turner. HFN.

Wrage has gone out drinking, doesn't realize that the drink he is drinking affects him more than others. The singer looks like the woman he thought he loved who betrayed him. Thus, while drunker than a skunk he hurls insult after insult at her. Then in a drunken stupor, he buys her as she is a slave. All I can say without giving away the story is that she finds a way to get herself free and get vengeance for all the insults. This is a GREAT story and I loved it. I would warn you that there are adult situation scenes so this book should only be read by a mature reader. There are surprises in store for you in this book as there were for me. I would highly recommend this book because I enjoyed it.

Loving Enemies

After getting rip snorting drunk Wrage viciously heckles then buys a singer at a club because she looks like the woman who deceived him out of his money to supposedly by her freedom. Little did he know this woman would be the key to not only his survival but regaining his soul.
Ellis was stolen from earth 4 years ago and has endured he'll ever sits as a slave. Her only saving qualities have been her beautiful face and singing voice. Now that she's been sold yet again to Hateful monster she realizes her only way to freedom is through his heart. Whether it remains in his body or she cuts it out is up to him.

Two people thrown together in circumstances that are not ideal.
One was drunk. The other was looking out for herself.
When they are told they are mated ‘forever’ under planetary law how can they make their relationship based on mutual dislike flourish?

A rolling romantic journey whereby two people discover they have more to learn about themselves and each other than they ever thought possible.

A guaranteed happily ever after in an amazing world filled with big and bold characters. A definite must-read.

Wrage started out poorly and Elyse didn’t like him at all. Although it doesn’t take long for him to redeem himself. By the end of the story I was in love with this couple. There were definitely ups and downs with some action to keep you totally invested. It was nice to see some familiar faces appear. Wrage’s family situation broke my heart. Elyse seemed immature in some of her reactions but I could definitely understand her emotions behind it. Alana Khan is a master at redeeming her characters!

Good addition to the series

I enjoyed reading this book and series. I like the characters overall. Obviously is the similar troupe, but the characters are so relatable that you do like following their journey. This book is about Wrage and Elyse. Both have been through hard times. Wrage is recently freed and trying to find his new purpose. Elyse is a slave. Her owner has her singing for his night club. This night, Elyse and Wrage meet and it gets interesting. . . . Read On!

Wishing for more background

Another like but wished there had been more background/personal stuff on the female. See, I’ve even forgotten her name and I just read it. Oh, Elysse. I loved the way she relayed to the Balfour and I wanted more of that. Also curious about the Mrss and her life before the singing. Memorable ability to scream out her rage with Wrage (ha ha) and I think she could have shown him so much more seeing as he was so open to consciousness techniques (wreathing, etc.). He was well developed; just wanted the same depth on her. Enjoyed all the same.

Wrage

These two characters have had such difficult pasts and they take out all that upset on each other.

He became free for the first time in 15 years,
“I don’t know what to do with my newfound freedom—it makes me irritable.”

She got abducted 4 years ago,
“It’s been a demanding four years since I left Earth. I’m a completely different person. Hard. Bitter. Angry.”

Like the last book, these characters feel like younger people. They end up singing duets and love songs to each other. Super cute.

Also, it was nice to get a guest appearance from the pirate crew.

What a happy ending in direct juxtaposition to the harsh feelings I held for the hero in the beginning! Only a talented storyteller like Alana can write characters that connect in such a deep, meaningful way to make a jerk into a prince among men. Strong, loving feelings develop between the hero and heroine as they navigate the “marriage to a stranger” plot line. Highly engaging so I highly recommend!

The characters in this one got off to a rocky start! As the reader, I chuckled, flinched, and groaned for huge chunks of the first quarter of the book, feeling deeply for the characters as they tried to rebalance in light of mistakes made initially.

I liked both lead characters individually and together - their strength of character and determination to work things through was admirable. The story was dual POV, well written and edited, and another rollercoaster ride added to a great series!

Yikes! Mommy Dearest

Wow. Such an exciting but disturbing book. I loved Wrage and Elyse. How they fell in love and depended on each other to survive. Their story was full of such hope and gentleness while at the same time, bloody action and cruelty. Wrage has moved front and center to my favorite character list. Any fan of alien romance, human abduction and bad guys getting their just rewards will love this book.

Wrage

I finished this book with a smile and a happy heart. I loved this story. They are pretty close to the top of my list as my favorite couple if not the top. I fell in love with Wrage. I'm so happy he gets to have a happy life. Elyse too. They are a perfect couple. What they go through to be together is off the charts. As usual I cried a bit, laughed a bit and couldn't put the book down. This will be a book I read again and again.

Really good enemies to lovers

Ehile they werent exactly enemies for long and started together through a vegas style drunk marriage, their relationship became very cute. Ill admit at first i did hate wrage so much i thought she should never forgive him and was so mad that they were being forced together. But they ended up falling in love and being so sweet together! Loved that we got to see our pirate friends again almost like a little crossover

Wow, I don't even know how to talk about Wrage without giving something away. Let's just say, sometimes you gotta see someone's bad side to understand how good they really are. He was so bad, I started thinking he was pretending to be that bad. But oh my, how I ended up loving this guy. I fall in love with all Alana's "men", well, aliens. Alien men. If you read her books, you'll see why.

Out of all of the books in the series so far this one is my last favorite. Personally, I just didn't like the main characters. Don't get me wrong... Overall the writing is amazing like all other Alana Khan books, but something just didn't click for me with the main characters.
