Jia grew up in an orphanage that turned children into master thieves and gave the school of hard knocks a run for its money. Jia’s psychic talents have kept her alive, but not out of trouble. While searching for her adopted brother, Jia finds herself on a galactic adventure with a horde of extra-terrestrial kids she’s determined to protect. Adding to the chaos is an Askole Battle Commander who claims she is his mate. How is that even possible? They’ve never met. All Jia ever wanted was a family. Suddenly, she is torn between loyalty to her missing brother and love.
Trayon, the Battle Commander, is a deadly Askole. Huge. Battle hardened muscles. A regular warrior’s nightmare with black, armor-plated skin and tentacles. Who knew the scary guy was such an excellent kisser and had the heart of a romantic?
To win Jia, Trayon must prove he loves her and she’s not some female the Coletti Overlord just sold him. But first, he has to keep the trouble magnet alive long enough to convince her.
I was a 9-1-1 dispatcher for thirty-one years and to keep insanity at bay, I took up writing. Not to worry. The insanity isn’t catching – much. Other than the addiction to chocolate and the twitch in my left eye, I’m good. I just finished, Stilettoes and Gunpowder book #3 in the Gemma Stone series.
Children of chaos This was a fantastic story. I really enjoyed the different characters and the way the babies were accepted and their different personalities and abilities really enhanced the story. The author kept the story moving with lots of action and danger and I really enjoyed the way Jia took such an active part in every battle. This was only the second book I’ve read from this series and now I can’t wait to go back and read the rest.
Arresting the Warlord revealed a whole new group of villains and introduced a potential story for the cunning human thief with psychic gifts and the determined Askole battle commander. As usual, I was eager to get my hands on the latest action-packed, spicy, and humorous sci-fi romance in the Coletti Warlords series.
Stealing Jia is the thirteenth installment in the series that works best read in order, but can be started out of order in a pinch.
Jia has led a hardscrabble life since she was orphaned and ended up in the hands of crooks. Her psychic gifts and training make her a successful thief, but her heart is for fellow orphans of the human and animal variety. So, when her chosen brother Adam is stolen by a mad scientist for experimentation, Jia goes after him. She has to make a deal with the devil aka the Coletti and then take a determined Askole as mate to get there. With one harrowing space adventure after another, she rescues a motley crew of orphaned alien children and animals who become her own and can't help falling for the alien mate with the romantic streak who takes on her rescued children and her need to find Adam as his own heart and mission.
This one starts during the events of the previous book and it was fun catching up on the main characters from Arresting the Warlord even while getting Jia's back history and getting to know the new pair and their adventure. There are the usual humorous moments as Jia and Trayon fence with each other in their version of courtship and Trayon had to do the work of proving that he really cared for and understood her before she believed and reciprocated his feelings.
My stars, the orphaned alien kids were abso-adorable with their antics and strong support of Jia when she stumbled into mischief. I think I did a little swoon to see big, bad Overlord Zarek cradling the little one and the twins were real menaces.
The pace is swift and doesn't pause much between action scenes and sexy romance scenes, but I loved visiting with old familiar characters and encountering new ones, new settings, and new aliens. My heart broke there in the end and I hope for a miracle that will save the poor lost one.
All in all, it was just what I come to expect and enjoy in this series of light and spicy sci-fi romance. If you enjoy earth to out of this world action-packed sci-fi romance that will give you high entertainment, look no further.
I rec'd this book from the author to read in exchange for an honest review.
Rating: 4 stars Another great addition to the Coletti Warlord series. I really liked Jia as the MC and loved Trayon and how he treated her. I always enjoy the heroes who aren’t obnoxious and over the top Alpha. I also loved how Trayon adopted all of Jia’s little critter family. Overall, a highly enjoyable read. Thanks to my friend from lending me her copy. I did like it enough to buy my own copy sometime in the future.
Stealing His book 13 in the Coletti Warlord Series by GAIL Koger
Absolutely Hilarious and thourghly enjoyable reading for anyone interested in great writing! Humor, dramatic moments, plenty of action filled pages and heated sexy times!💖I recommend you have this entire fabulously written and thourghly funny series!!!😍
Loved the characters and story. But what I loved the most were the awesome extra-terrestrial children that Jia saved from a horrific fate then adopted. These children were sentient, intelligent beings but definitely not humanoid. I fell in love with them!
Loved it! Fun way to pass the time the Jones women always give you a good laugh plenty of excitement well worth the read look forward to hopefully more
This story was so good and just so sweet. The kiddies in the story are such a good edition. Jia’s story was so good. Wished it went longer. Good series. Good writer
This was an interesting story of an orphan who finally discovers her roots as she begins a journey to recover her friend who has been kidnapped by horrible creatures. In the process she finds her true mate and adopts children kidnapped from their attacked homelands. Good read.
If you want to read a book that will make you laugh all about how Jia rescued a bunch of young aliens and sort of adopted them. You need to read Stealing Jia because you find out that Jia is a Jones and they can destroy anything trying to protect the ones they love.
It’s an over the top romance with Jia destroying the Coletti and Askole enemies!
This was a fun book that captured me in the first page! I laughed out loud, I couldn't wait until the next page. Gail Koger is an automatic buy for me! I go back and reread her book whenever i need a break from what is going on in the world
Very much enjoyed reading this book after winning it from Goodreads giveaway. Jia and her friends are great characters and I hope to read about their further adventures. I will be adding this author's other books to my want to read list.
Really liked this book. Fun and romance all tied together for a fast read. Holding more are coming out soon from this author. Would also like to read the first book with the big A and his mate.
Humor, action, sex, Stealing Jia has it all with a really cool scifi setting. I think this may be my favorite book from Gail Koger so far. GIVE ME MORE!
I gave it four stars as there are too many copy and paste in descriptions about background history. That’s just plain lazy and unbecoming of such a talented writer.
Oh my those wee little monsters stole my heart 💞 Stealing Jia continues the light-hearted hearted romantic comedy suspense I have come to expect from this series.
Jia is an orphan with a few special gifts. After a childhood spent thieving and ghosting she finally has acquired her own slice of heaven An animal sanctuary and a haven for those who need hiding, the less fortunate as she once was Things are going well, life is good until people begin to disappear When one of her only true companions is among the missing Jia takes matters into her own hands 🙈 Let the chaos begin
Chaos seems to follow Jia everywhere that along with her habit of speaking her mind had me laughing through most of the story I loved how protective she was of her charges - wait until you meet this heart-melting headache-inducing tribe she comes to call her own Trayon was a whole different alpha than the Coletti warriors. He is firm but fair. He has a sweet sense of humor that begins to show once you get past his scales.
Things are heating up in the battle between good and evil New alliances are forged and betrayals are uncovered
Another light-hearted and entertaining addition to the series
Jia is a beguiling energetic woman with a few psychic and zapping abilities that have enabled her to survive a foundling childhood. As a woman Jia has an affinity for saving animals and children and now is being single mindedly pursued by a suiter and the Bjarke. The whirlwind of meeting foes, possible friends and saving children of various species is incredible.
I love these stories. You never know what will happen next. Whenever these warlords mate, chaos follows. The women are quite capable and talented. Can't wait for the next story
With each book I keep thinking the quality will be less than the other books . But, so far this is not true. This book was just as funny as the ones before.
