Two stars . barely .

What does it mean when you can skip 2/3 of the novel because you're bored and then get to the end and find out you really didn't miss anything that isn't being paraphrased again right now.

Sometimes action on action on action on action is just boring.

I wish some of the sub characters had been fleshed out a little bit and as much as the main characters love affair is flouted as the ultimate, some understanding is to why they keep promising that sacrificing each other.

It's like that old adage about crying wolf. The immediacy of the five alarm fire disappears when the same action is repeated again and again.

And so yes I skipped 2/3 of the book and I didn't miss a darn thing. I hope it gets better in the next one

Well,. I'll admit I was excited to read this book right up to the end of the first one. The the whole I'm leaving to protect you came into the mix and that just got on my nerves.
That said, I continued on and enjoyed the book.
There are parts that have me wanting to pull my hair out, parts where I just can't help the smile on my face and the parts where I'm not all to sure what was meant to be said.

Through out the book I do find myself more interested in all the other characters far more than Rella.
She has her good points but, I would rather her be the strong formidable woman we see in the beginning of the first book.... as the series has progressed she gets weaker and is willing to forgo listening to those around her and just do whatever the hell she fells like.

BRING ON THE NEXT ONE
