I know the madness of the rage that comes before death, seen bloody murder in the eyes of people who had forgotten who I was and wanted me dead. It was only a matter of time before I contracted the virus. Now I have, it would be easy to give up. But I can’t. Until the rage overcomes me, days, weeks or months from now, I have to keep going. I need to find Nate. Companions were never part of my plan. There are advantages in numbers, but can I trust these three men? Can they trust me? They don’t know what I’ve done. Maybe I deserve what befalls me when I meet the King of Bones.
The Rage is a standalone, dystopian reverse harem novelette of 15,000 words. It contains violence and elements of horror that may be triggering to some people.
Jaya Moon lives on the south coast of Australia with her husband and son. She digs holes by day and writes at night and is tempted to tell you she's a grave digger (that sounds far more interesting than her real day job).
She writes steamy, character driven romance novels.
Y no me equivoqué!
This was actually a very well done short story. There’s only so much information you can fit in 53 pages but Jaya Moon somehow managed to get an enthralling plot, unique characters, and a heart throbbing moment in. All while giving the readers an ending that is satisfying and ambiguous while leaving you wanting more. The spicy scene was also short and sweet, leaving the authors plot and action to speak for itself which I appreciate since authors nowadays focus very heavily on intimate scenes which becomes repetitive. This was refreshing. Definitely recommend for a short read that took me about three hours. Extra point because the grammar, punctuation, and sentence structures were well done. Spice Amount🌶️: 2/10 Story Plot✨: 9/10 Characters🧟♂️: 8/10 Ending🌈: 8/10 Will definitely read again.
It was good, but I was really fucking uncomfortable by the sexual touch between a presumed adult and a minor, ages aren’t defined besides the brother. It’s fucking weird and besides for the sucker shock value, could’ve just been another /clear/ adult.
If it didn’t have that, it’d be pretty perfect but two stars off for that.
I love dystopian novels (especially RH) and though this one is short, it has a lot going for it. It's got sexy times (and sexy men!) and excitement, and some sadness. I'll definitely be looking for more from Jaya Moon.
