At last, the classic weaving loom gets a long-overdue infusion of imagination, ingenuity, and fun. This book comes with a sturdy red loom and oodles of colorful, stretchy cotton-blend loops. Made especially for us, these loops are ideal for all kinds of woven projects. Follow the step-by-loopy-step instructions to weave up a purse, a picture frame, a mighty cute chicken and more. Comes With: plastic loom, oodles of cotton-blend loops, rainbow colored yarn, plastic crochet hook, and plastic yarn needle. Have fun!
I already knew how to weave potholders on a loom. (Am I really the only adult who still loves to weave potholders on the little loom and give them away as presents?) This book is cool because it gives instructions for different weaving patterns like stripes, pinwheel, puzzle pieces, hound's tooth, confetti, and rainbow squares. It also shows how to make purses, game boards (tic tac toe, and checkers), bean bags, and a loopy chicken. Fun!
The instructions are clear and easily understandable, even for kids.
This is the best weaving book for kids I've seen yet. The illustrations are specific and helpful. Both my son and daughter enjoyed making weaving projects together. It's easy to understand and explains the basics of weaving including vocabulary, technique, finishing, and pitfalls to avoid and how to fix them.
