Undeniably You is one of those books that put me through a rollercoaster of emotions. I didn’t know how to feel for most of the book! This story was downright PAINFUL at times. I mean, I hurt while reading it. The first half, not so much. It was actually pretty fun and full of humor and steam. Then later in the second half. My heart. It just hurt. I found myself stressed out. Wanting to bite off all my nails (which is a habit I just recently broke) and constantly messaging my friend who recommended this to me (thanks, Kate). The journey was a struggle, but it was worth it. This book was fantastic. The writing is amazing. And the end, it made it worth it all.

Sydney is spending some time housesitting for her aunt and uncle in Palo Alto. Spend a year house-sitting. Save some money for grad school, and then start back towards living her dream of being an art curator. That is the plan. Then she meets Lautner Sullivan (swoony sigh) and questions everything she thought she knew.

Dr. Sullivan and Sydney spend a month together. Just one month, but it’s pretty apparent they’re both head over heels for one another. Even if Sydney won't admit it… Lautner has no problem expressing his feelings.



Now to the hard part of the review. Not wanting to spoil anything, but have you ever gotten to a point in a book where you think- FUCK THIS BOOK. Legit. Fuck it. I’m over it. I’m not finishing it. I’m SO MAD. Yeah. This book had that moment for me. I’m not going to lie. I put it on pause and stewed for a day or two. Then I went back in. As pissed as I was (and still am a bit at this one character… yeah I hold a grudge… and yeah… I’m not completely over it) I’m SO happy I finished. Because overall, even with the rage, I loved this book so much! And as I said earlier, the end was worth it!

I really did love this book, HARD. But I’m not going to lie. There was a point I wasn’t sure if I could give it 5 stars. Ultimately, I did, because the writing and story were just too epic not too. But I feel like I have to explain my issue with it. I can forgive a lot. I mean A LOT. I’m a pretty easy to please reader and all around forgiving person. But there is one thing this heroine did that I personally find unforgivable most of the time. It’s one of those super hard lines for me. I don't have many, but this is one. You can’t have a kid and not give the father a choice of being in their life or not. You can’t get pregnant and not tell the father because you think he moved on with someone else. You can’t make a few measly attempts and just not do it. You can’t. It’s not fair to anyone. Not the guy, and most definitely not your child. THE ONLY reason it would ever be okay to not tell the man who got you pregnant he was going to be a daddy is if he was an abusive asshole, not a good person, dangerous etc. For fucks sake… Lautner was perfect. It broke my heart that she did that to him. I can forgive a shit ton. But that is one thing I’m not sure I’ll ever 100% get over. Which is why I just can't give it 5 stars!!!

Lautner and Sydney truly had an epic love story. This is one of those books that will stay with me. I’ll never forget the way I felt while reading. And oh boy did I feel! SO many emotions. If you’re in the mood for an angsty read that is fun, sexy and fabulous with an amazingly near perfect male lead- read this one!

Where do I begin to express how much this book affected me??!! To say that I LOVED this book, is putting it mildly!! This story completely OWNED me, HEART & SOUL!!!! All day I've been walking around with these butterflies in my stomach that have not left me since I finished this book in the wee hours of the morning!! Never have I had to actually turn to liquor to get through the angst in a story, until now! I feel like the author knew exactly what I love in a good story and she wrote this just for me!! I never thought that there would be a book boyfriend that could possibly be just as equally Swoonworthy as Kellan Kyle and Jesse Ward, but Ladies, we have a contender here. Lautner Sullivan captured my heart the moment he dived into that swimming pool NAKED!!!! The entire time while I was reading this book, I just wanted to dive into this world and wanted Lautner to be real and all MINE!! This story had all the elements needed to satisfy me 100%. It was as funny as an Alice Clayton book, the sex was OFF THE CHARTS HOT, the Angst was GUTWRENCHING, and the Hero, well he was PERFECTION!!!!!!



Sydney Montgomery is a beautiful 23 year old woman, who has life goals she is determined to accomplish. She takes jobs as a house sitter while traveling the world before she goes off to Grad School to get her PhD. Her dream is to become a curator for a fancy art museum. Sydney has been under the assumption that her mother led an unfulfilled life before she died from cancer. She vows to be all that she can be to honor her mother's memory. Syd is spending a month in Palo Alto at her aunt & uncle's house while they go on a vacation abroad. She's in charge of house sitting and looking after their crazy dog, Swarley. Her first day there she meets this drop dead gorgeous, sex on a stick, man, who she mistakes for the pool guy. He's so freaking cocky and charming, and really attracted to Syd, so he pretends to be the pool guy. Don't know what possesses him to do this but he ends up naked in her pool and we learn he is pretty beautiful all over and well endowed!! MY KIND OF GUY!!!! He certainly had an affect on Sydney as well.



Syd is only in Palo Alto for a month and then she is off to Paris and will be gone for a year. She has no intentions of getting into a serious relationship and makes that pretty clear, but the two spend quite a bit of time together. Oh and did I mention that Lautner is a Pediatric Surgeon??!!! Can the guy get any more perfect?? OH YES HE SURE CAN!!!! The things that this guy does to woo Sydney had my stomach filled with all those wonderful butterflies. I wanted to kick Syd in the butt many times. I know she thought she was heading down the right path but God Damn how many times does a Lautner ever walk into a girls' life???!!!



Things happen and misunderstandings help to add on to the unbearable angst that starts up at about the halfway mark into the story. All I can say is hold tight!! Don't give up!! Keep going because this story will leave you with the biggest kool-aid smile on your face when you get to the end!! I didn't doze off once!! I even stayed up past my bedtime to finish this because once the angst starts, you just want to keep going to get to that HEA!!! I couldn't stop until I got to the end of the line. Let me tell you, it is like one thing after another that will be thrown at you and will leave you feeling gutted at times. Definitely have some liquor handy!!!




I happen to LOVE angst and think that a good dose of it, makes the HEA so much more fabulous! Which is what you get in this story! I know there is an element in here that some might feel is a hard limit but honestly I knew in my heart what was right and that when two people are pretty much made for each other, nothing else matters!! You seriously need to get to the end so you get the whole story and then you won't be sorry!! I PROMISE!!!!



I will definitely add this to my TOP TEN FAVE BOOKS OF ALL TIME! This will be a book I will re-read many times over and I think Jewel E Ann is simply BRILLIANT!!!!




I want to give a HUGE Hug & Kiss to Allison for making me read this! I told her I had it on my TBR but she urged me to drop everything else and get to this one ASAP and I'm so glad that I did!!!

I need to start this review by thanking my best friend Patty, for gifting me this amazing book. Nothing is more precious to me than when someone gives me a beautiful book. Thank you Boo, this story rocked my world!!!

Undeniably You was the perfect read for me. It has humor, steam and angst, on top of the wonderful writing style. All this is why this book is going to My Favorites Books Ever shelve and the hero, Lautner Sullivan has claimed the top spot on my fictional boyfriends list.
I'm completely enamored with this novel, the more I think about it, the more I love it...

Sydney is a saving up money to go back to school to fulfill her dream of becoming a museum curator. She's working as a worldwide House Sitter, she gets to travel the world and make money while she's enjoying amazing new places and different cultures. Her job has recently brought her to Palo Alto, California. Her aunt and uncle have enlisted her services to watch their house and beloved dog, while they tour Europe. On her first day on the job several crazy things happen; The dog gets a bad case of the runs, she meets a very cute vet and a gorgeous guy, goes in for a skinny dip inside her aunt's pool.

The naked swimmer turns out to be Dr. Lautner Sullivan, he's gorgeous and funny, the perfect new friend. Sidney and Lautner start hanging out and soon a beautiful relationship blossoms between them. They agree to just enjoy the moment and each others company, since they are both very focused on their careers and can't afford the complication of a serious relationship.

These two characters complemented each other beautifully, they have the most amazing chemistry. Lautner knows Sydney is the woman for him, they have fallen deeply in love with each other and even though he is ready to do whatever it takes to be with her, Sydney is too scared to re-arrange her plans and possibly having to give up on her dreams for love.

Lautner wants more than thirty days, he wants forever but Sydney is too scared to admit her true feelings, and leaves breaking his heart. The kind of love they share is a once in a lifetime kind of love and when Sydney realizes her future doesn't seems as bright anymore without love, will it be too late for a second chance?



I've already listed all the reasons why this book was a total winner for me but I must add one more, and that is how totally unpredictable this story was. The constant twists and turns in the story made my skin tingly, my heart soar and my belly hurt from laughing so much. To me this book was the complete package and I will absolutely recommend it to everyone I know.

I feel as though I listened to an entirely different book from other reviewers..

Readers and or Listeners Beware.
If you are looking for a book where the main female lead is horrible to the main male lead and makes mistake after mistake without any qualms, then have it...

This book gave me Indigestion..

I hope that this was not based on a true story..

I am so angry with this book, I wish that I could give it Negative Stars.


Ok, the word "shit" was used way too often and I think the book could have had less cursing.

I didn't understand why Sydney was having the issue that she was in the beginning.
After the dog crapped once or twice in the house, why didn't she just leave him outside?
Her aunt and uncle needed a house and dog sitter so... if the dog is crapping all over the house..

I didn't care too much for Sydney's personality.
Why would she open the front door to a stranger and not let him introduce himself?
She just ASSumed that he was the pool guy and then had the nerve to be angry with him.
In the beginning, The dialogue between Sydney and Lautner was adolescent at best and I think that their first encounter could have gone so much better.


Sydney is Stupid. After, she slept with Lautner she still mentioned or thought about him and her sister, Avery, would "hook up".
Lautner:"You are pimping me out to your sister?"
Why would she not tell her sister that she was interested in Lautner?
And, when she finally does tell her sister, does she have to tell Avery EVERYTHING?
And, what kind of sister is Avery to try and call dibs on Lautner.
Sydney just told her sister that she met a nice looking guy,
why would Avery's first thought be, to jump on him when Sydney met him first?
By this point in the book, I did not like Syndey nor ditzy Avery.

And, why can't Sydney be in a relationship and pursue her dreams at the same time?
She is willing to pass up a good guy just so she can say that she wasn't distracted?
Isn't being with him *Period* however long a distraction?
Her whole thought process was stupid.
This story had so much potential, but the book description was better than the actual book.

I cant believe Sydney took Dane's game tickets and went with her sister.
She even has the nerve to tell him that she knew that he was trying to ask her out on a date
but she takes them anyway.
Sydney is STUPID and selfish.
I CAN NOT STAND WHEN PEOPLE CREATE THEIR OWN PROBLEMS.
I SAID, I can't stand when people "create" their problems like Sydney has done.
I rolled my eyes so much at this story, the dialogue and Sydney's behavior.
She is willing to give Lautner up in pursuit of her goals, BUT
she admits to not taking her birth control on a "regular basis"
and she coaxes Lautner into ditching the condom(s), proving that she is stupid, yet again.

At this point, I didn't care anymore about a Happily Ever After for Sydney.
*I hardly ever say that but every once in awhile when I will get fed up with a book,
the characters,
and/or the author and I will say "f@&k This" and not care anymore.
I have an issue with not finishing a book once I start it,
so I tortured myself and continued reading.
But I have to say that I HATED Sydney, I really did with a passion.
I felt as if she didn't deserve Lautner and she was horrible for hurting him.
I felt as if she didn't deserve Dane and she was horrible for taking advantage of him.
I felt as if she didn't deserve to have a baby, and was not mature enough to raise a child at that time.

Sydney states that she needs a Master's degree to work in a Museum and that was her dream job.
She also stated that house sitting was helping her save money.
I can not believe that she was making more money house sitting than a regular nine-to-five job.
So, here is a thought you stupid selfish irresponsible Witch!
- go to Paris, enjoy yourself
-after Paris, go back to Palo Alto, get a steady job, save your money, go back to school, get your degree.
-and, oh, look, she can even date Lautner while achieving her goals, what a grand idea!
I did not understand her conflict or stupidity, because there really wasn't a conflict in this story that was not created by Sydney.
She ended up doing the very thing that she was trying to avoid...
All she had to do was "change" and "adapt" to have everything but she was too self involved to stop and think,
she didn't even care that she hurt several people along the way.

She should have kept in contact with Lautner when she was in Paris, via, text, email, phone calls, etc.. however way that she could.
And, when she returned she should have made it her mission to tell Lautner, but no,
she was a COWARD!
When she went to Lautner's apartment and Claire answered the door, she should have pushed her way into of the apartment and seen for herself what Lautner was OR WAS NOT doing.
She has to many excuses for not doing the "right thing".
Everyone that she knows told her that she needs to tell Lautner about the pregnancy,
but she Punks Out at every chance.
And, the way that He finally does find out is Horrible and Heart wrenching!
I don't feel sorry for Sydney, everything that she went threw was her own fault!
Lautner missed out on the birth of his daughter and her first THREE years of life.
That is something that can never be "made up" or undone.
I'm glad he found someone and was engaged. I hoped Emma was a nice woman worthy of him.
Sydney has the nerve to tell Lautner that she doesn't want him playing "house" with his fiance
but what does she think that she is doing with Dane?

Lautner tells her he loves her and asks her not to leave several times.
The first time she didn't respond when he told her he loves her,
the second time she tells him that "she knows",
and by the third time, she is telling him not to say it.
What a stupid selfish irresponsible Witch!
And, yes, I am angry!


Then around the middle of the book, chapter 15, I believe, the book fasts forward to her wedding, and she is not marrying Lautner, big surprise?
Not for me, because what else would a stupid selfish irresponsible Witch! do ?!?!?
You got it! She got engaged. And she still has not told Lautner about the baby.

I alternated throughout this book with wanting to SMACK Sydney and CHOKE her!
Like I said before, I didn't care anymore about a Happily Ever After for Sydney.
I wanted Lautner to marry is fiance and Dane to find someone else.

I resented Sydney every time there was chance for Lautner to find out about
his daughter but Sydney did not own up to it.
Sydney is a Hypocrite.
She left Lautner and had the nerve to have an issue when she thinks that Lautner has moved on.
Then she turns Dane into of the Rebound Guy when she sees Lautner with another woman in the park. It does not matter how many women she sees Lautner with, she is the one who left him.

Three years passed, THREE, and she still had not reached her goals or dreams,
she still didn't have a MA degree,
still not working in a museum.
All of that foolishness and heartbreak was for NOTHING!
She could have just stayed with Lautner for all of her accomplishments and she can't claim her daughter because she was unplanned.

I didn't even feel bad for Sydney when Ocean spent time with Lautner.
She is an insecure,
self absorbed,
sarcastic,
condescending,
miserable human being,
No wonder she thought the worse of everyone / everything, and felt that Lautner wanted revenge.

After all that Sydney has done, Lautner can still tell her that he loves her but she can not
open up to him as well???
She never ever let Lautner finish talking. She interrupted him constantly.
She ALWAYS jumped to the WRONG conclusions.
Everything was Everyone's fault but Sydney, she did not take responsibility for her actions and deeds that lead up to her big mess.

Sydney had the nerve to act surprised when Lautner didn't know that she loved him.
Please Witch!
How would he know that?
He knew that she loved him:
- because she told him that she loved him so many times that he lost count? NO!
- because he asked her not to leave but to stay with him in Palo Alto and she did? NO!
- because she kept his daughter a secret from him for three years?
- because she decided to marry Dane because she was too much of a coward to tell Lautner how she really felt and about his daughter?
Right, all of her actions listed above shows how much she ((luvs)) Lautner! My sarcasm grows.
Witch! please....

Then Sydney further complicates everything by cheating on her finance with Lautner.
She STILL does NOT tell him how she feels but rather ASSumes things as usual.
She even has the nerve to be angry with Lautner, bad mouths him and all men in general when he doesn't jump and tell Emma about their indiscretion.
Why would Lautner change his plans, when Sydney has never given him the green light?
The only reason why Sydney tells Dane is because he asks her point blank.
And, she has the nerve to state that she couldn't lie about it. Gee, that is very noble of her! NOT!

I don't understand why the author would write Sydney to be
a liar,
a cheater,
a user, and
a stupid selfish self absorbed Witch!

Sydney states that she believed her parents when they told her that masturbation leads to "blindness".
Then, Sydney had the nerve to say that she always looked at Blind People in a judgmental way.
Really!? WTF kind of a thing to say or write...

I was wondering the entire book, how many times was she dropped on her head as kid???
She had no sense, common or otherwise.

Lautner opened up to her about his feelings and what he wanted from her repeatedly,
he put his heart and everything out in the open for her, with barely an acknowledgement from her.
She did not have the sense to do the same or at least meet him half way.
Why would Lautner call of his wedding with Emma when Sydney has NEVER told him how she feels?

Sydney was a stupid selfish irresponsible Witch! all the way to the very end of the story.
She even has the nerve to try and blame her situation on Dane because he did not tell her that he ran into Lautner right after she had the baby,
and Lautner told Dane that he was having a hard time losing both his mother and Sydney
within six months of each other.
Witch! please!
Don't You Dare try and blame anyone else but yourself for your current situation.
If Sydney would have taken responsibility and done the "right" thing from the beginning and went to Lautner, it would not have mattered what Dane said or didn't say.

And, one more thing...
Does Sydney really not understand the concept of Birth Control?
You stupid selfish irresponsible Witch!!!!!!!!!!!

There are thirty six chapters in this book and Sydney did not tell Lautner how she felt
about him until the last chapter. That was ridiculous considering what she put him through.
I don't see why either Dane or Lautner was so into Sydney.
She had NO redeeming qualities.
I wanted Lautner to marry Emma and I wanted Dane to start dating his assistant.

This was NOT a Romance.
There was nothing romantic about Sydney being Too Stupid To Live.
There was nothing romantic about Sydney hurting not one but two men repeatedly.
It left me feeling aggravated, annoyed, and hurt for both Lautner and Dane.
I wish Sydney would have gone and jumped into of the "Ocean"......

This was a surprising little read. Undeniably You started out cute, quirky, and fun. I was living it up, house/pet sitting with Sydney. Enjoying her interactions with Swarley, the vet and pediatric resident. Stubborn Sydney is a bit of a disaster, but I was highly entertained. And Lautner was one fantastically written man - I've become a huge fan of Jewel, and her men.



Then around 50% - BAM! I got slapped with some angst. Lots of angst. It was pouring out to the pages. Sydney's drive to not settle, leads to all kinds of havoc. Bad timing and misunderstanding just continue to facilitate the hot mess that has been created.



While Undeniably You does contain some plot 'twist' that are a bit common and cliche, and there was some ...cheating... I still really enjoyed this story about finding "a goddamn soul-shattering love that will never, ever be matched."

At the risk of blubbering out a total fan-girl review that I'll end up editing the bejeebers out of in the morning, I'm gonna run with it while I'm on the Dr. Lautner Sullivan high.

Say you're a 23-year old college graduate. The daughter of a woman who got knocked up pregnant young and pretty much gave up her career dreams for motherhood. It's the summer before you plan to start graduate school, your dreams are to be a museum curator, living in a big city and reaping success from hard work well earned. A relative asks you to house-sit for their rambunctious Weimeraner dog for a month prior to setting off for Paris then grad school... but you meet a man. A perfect man who you mistaked as the pool boy. You have one month to bask in the glory of epic love, a man so romantic he melts the panties off of any living breathing woman.

Thirty days... He asks you to stay. He BEGS you to reconsider. He tells you he loves you. But you can't return the sentiments because DREAMS. Do you walk away? For a thirty-day fling at 23 years of age? I know what my romantic heart would say. And I know what I'd honestly tell any friend in her shoes...GO AND PURSUE YOUR DREAMS!





Sydney is a complicated soul and I can really see how some readers may want to throttle her. Lautner is just entering his first year of pediatric residency (SUCCESSFUL), he's an ex-Heissman Trophy candidate for Stanford football (STACKED), and he is freaking sex on a stick! Girls and boys, I don't think I've read a hero I've been so freaking infatuated with in a long time. He was perfection. His romantic gestures my hubby could take lessons from were so impeccably sweet. Chivalrous, romantic, and with a dominant sexual prowess that'd melt the knickers off a nun. I liked him...a lawt!







Sandy blonde hair, Medusa eyes, stacked like a brick sh*thouse. I'm sorry- RIP Paul Walker, but nobody fits the bill like Paul Walker in my fantasies head.








I don't know what it is specifically about Jewel E Ann's writing style but it just clicks for me. She has such a perfect way of instilling humor in her books- even when the plotlines are on the darker or grittier side. I went into this book, by looking at the comical bookcover, thinking this was a Romantic Comedy. Rest assured, it is but the second half sucked my heart out of my chest. Talk about angsty tug of war of emotions! I ate it up! Sleep be damned, I could not put this book down from the halfway mark on...







I love a book that stirs a plethora of emotions in me. This one did not fail. Between the hilarious Weimaraner named Swarley she was dog-sitting (snort snort)-







To the completely orgasmic and SO romantic doctor-in-training, Lautner (pant pant drool)-







To the heroine that I understood but still wanted to throttle because LAUTNER! (grits teeth)-







I was treated to an all-around perfect read. I could seriously quote half this book because just some of the things they said to each other made me melt. We see romantic gestures and dialogue all the time but these two, their epic love story, just really struck a cord with me. They're young. She's They're (kinda) stupid but also human and we get a perfect ending that healed my broken heart.







***I can't fairly review this book without bringing up the fact that there's a plot device that may not be everyone's cuppa. It added steamy angst to my read so THAT was a bonus. I'll spoiler tag it if you MUST know. There's cheating but you seriously WANT the cheating to occur because it's between the main MCs and their significant others aren't that significant. Enough said.

I have to be honest in that when I got recommended this I thought yeh yeh ok, it's a fun sexy read. I'll save it for a rainy day it was never something I thought I would pic up straight away. Yet I got recommended it time and time again, so eventually I said ok ok I'll read it and boy was I wrong. The cover is slightly misleading in my opinion. Therefore if your like me please PICK THIS BOOK UP as its one of my Top Favourites of this year.

Sooo what's it about
This is a book based on Characters that develop gradually. It's about Dr Lautner Sullivan who has one BIG heart who loves wholeheartedly to the people he comes in contact with. He loves the children he works with and those moments where they smile at him, and then there's the moment where he meets Sydney.

Sydney has her head set on working for a gallery working in the big bad world, to create and design the way art is set out. To get the money to do that she house sits, and therefore she is house sitting for her aunt which includes the lovely Swarley. A goofy lovable dog that has in time become Syd's heart. I digress initially Sydney and Lautner don't start off well, except over the next few weeks they become very close and become inseparable.



Time is of essence though so the first half is a light fun read that had me smiling, laughing and then giggling at Sydney's adventures and mistakes. Yet Lautner is what can I say swoooon worthy Hero he is EVERYTHING he is what made the book for me I fell for him completely.



The second half though is where it ventures into a angsy tough love story, and I spent my time crying my eyes out, unable to see the pages properly and feeling like I had my heart pulled out in two. Yet it was nothing of what I expected, and it was heartwarming at the same time.



This was a true love story about finding the person you want to spend forever with. But it took a wee while to get there, Sydney made some mistakes but not the kind of mistakes I thought it was. Honestly it turned down a path I didn't expect. And I loved 120% of every second, minute, hours and days I spent with them. Their unity, their toe curling sex, chemistry that was palpable and HOT AS HELL yet also sweet and loving. As I will say Lautner made this story for me, I fell for him hook line and sinker and he's the sole reason why this is 6 stars. His devotion to Sydney and his family, he was sweet, loving, sexy and yes could even be an Alpha!!!



If you want a story that is unexpected and a story that makes you believe in love and timing then this is definitely your next read!!!

“I love you … only you … always you … forever you.”



Well that was an emotional rollercoaster. There were times when I was screaming at my kindle, moments when I was literally laughing out loud, and tears in my eyes. That's the mark of a good writer and a good book.

Sydney is house-sitting and dog-sitting for her aunt and uncle in Palo Alto, California for a month before heading off to Paris for a year in pursuit of her dreams. In a weird twist of fate, Sydney meets Lautner in which she confuses him for the pool boy and quirkiness ensues.

Soon Sydney and Lautner finding themselves falling for each other when they meant to keep things light. And their newfound relationship has a deadline... which Sydney could change if she wanted to.



This was one of the angstiest books I've read in a long time. Not my usual type of preferred angst as this was rife with misconceptions and instalove, but I still really liked it in the end. Both characters made mistakes but their intentions were always good and that's something I admire in my romantic leads. No mind games, no asshole actions, just mistakes that changed the course of their paths.

Lautner was a really sweet guy. I kind of wish he was a little bit more bad but he still ranks high on the hotness scale. I love that he went after what he wanted with no qualms about it, knowing his lifetime of happiness was within reach.

Sydney. Oh Sydney. I normally have a very high tolerance for female leads but I wanted to smack my kindle over her head. For such a smart girl she was so dumb and infuriating!!! Her actions time and again were sooooooo off. She's a lucky bitch for even landing Lautner in the first place!!

Anyways, rant over. Thanks to Stephanie and everyone who recommended me this book. Jewel, you got a new fan and avid reader in me!

This was just perfect! Now I just need to stop crying.



ThanK you Patty for making me put down everything to read this. This story was like two in one. It starts off funny and lighthearted, then out of nowhere my emotions are all twisted up. Don't let the cover fool you. This was a angsty, heartfelt read and I'll never forget this story! And the ending...oh the ending was so beautiful. All I can say is read it! You won't regret it.

4,5 “Ocean” Stars.

Sydney and Lautner met during one summer, where they completely fall in love. He’s an intern doctor preparing for real life, she’s dog-sitting her uncles dogs. Unfortunately for them, life doesn’t always work how we want and life puts them in different paths… until the day they meet again.
A lot has changed, including them… could they have a second change or much water has already ran under the bridge?



This book was such an amazing emotional roller-coaster that I will probably never be able to re-read it again. It started as funny and sweet and there was so much twists that towards the end, where the angst ratio was so high, my heart was in my hands and I was almost praying for the happy end these two deserved. Don’t get me wrong: this is an amazing and powerful romance book. I was completely addicted trough every page of it, but if you can’t handle angst than this is probably not the best choice for you.
However, if you don’t mind the emotional roller coaster, get in. You have to read this book. Trust me! (And have I ever failed you before?)



Rating: 4,5 Stars.
Characters Development: Sidney was a nice heroine and despite not agreeing with some of her actions, they were understandable. She was honest, sweet and easy to like. Lautner was swoon worthy. An amazing guy, sexy and loyal it was impossible not tp love him. There was moments towards the end where I just wanted to kick his ass but he ended up redeeming himself and finding a way into my heart again. Those two together were a great couple to read… even despite the cheesiness of half of what they said.
Steam: Hot.
Sensible Subjects: No.
Love Triangle: No.
Cheating: There’s no cheating between the main couple, but they get involved with each while in relationships with other people, so technically there’s cheating.
HEA: Yes.

Holy angst...I am not even strong enough to do these books via audio.

The beginning starts off fun and sexy, and I was hooked. Then the next thing I know I am cursing every interruption I am getting, begging for spoilers and ultimately coming home and reading the ebook.

I loved how entertaining it was. I even loved how engaging and angsty this one is. I just didn't love all the choices made. Some made me so upset that I wasn't able to love the story was much as I did in the beginning.

Regardless, this book, read it. The hype is real! If you want sexy, fun, and a book that will make you mildly obsessed jump in!!

Okay, I know I'm not alone here and so I'll keep this short and sweet but, I must say that I truly adored this book! And the fact that there was mention of one of my all time fave romance movies "Say Anything" and one of the most romantic scenes ever with "In Your Eyes" playing, I was a goner!! I fell in love with John Cusack right then and there...hmmm, come to think of it, people say my husband looks like John Cusack. My subsonscious at work here? I think not! Okay, I digress, back to the fabulous story of Sydney Montgomery and Lautner Sullivan.



Launter Sullivan is Simply. Simply. PERFECTION. Sweet, Sexy, cocky, funny, smart, loving…Gawd, I could go on endlessly about this man!

“Lautner isn’t a catch, he’s the catch.”



“He cracked open the door to my heart and whispered what if.”



This story was gut wrenching, sexy, sweet, funny, and truly beautiful. I was all over the place with the emotions and I just loved the banter and laugh-out-loud inner dialogue of Syd. For example:

“I turn toward him and my eyes dart straight to his broad muscular chest and well-defined abs all kissed by the sun. Jeez, he’s too perfect and I’m…something. Distracted? Mentally lethargic? Crazy? Horny? BINGO!”

If you are true romantic at heart. You must read this book!!

This is unexpectedly going to my favorites of all time shelf. The reason being is that it made me feel more emotions than a book has made me feel in a long time. Not all of them good. There was anger. Lots and lots of anger and bewilderment and frustration. I agree with every other review that says that while the book had a decidedly lighthearted tone, it became something much more than funny as the story progressed. Some of the actions of the protagonists are questionable. Some the kind of dumb moves that had me wanting to rip my hair out. But ultimately, it was kind of a story of love, redemption, forgiveness, and fate. Not fighting what feels right. Go with your gut. Love who you want to. Give them your faith and trust, and take the risk. It's a weighty risk, sure. But if you don't trust the ones you love and do trust everyone else, your headed for heartache. A good love is always, always, always worth fighting for. And it's never too late. It's what romance is all about.

Undeniably You is the story of Lautner and Sydney experiencing the ultimate meet-cute while she’s housesitting for her aunt in beautiful Palo Alto, CA which leads to a month of falling in like then love and some smokin’ hot sexy times. This bordered on insta-love for me but was saved by the fact that the interactions between Sydney and Lautner were detailed, witty and not just about the sex. This author writes some awesome dialogue and I was never bored. So what happens when Sydney’ month is up and it’s time to move on?

I enjoyed the writing and humor but I have to say, there are some issues I have problems reading about. Trigger issues, if you will. Overall, I still had a good time reading this one.

One of my absolute favorite book this year!!! Ahhhhh I have feelings that are swirling all over the place. So these are the hardest for me to review because nothing I can come up with will do what I got out of it any justice. But here goes...

Top Book Boyfriend alert!!!

Sydney is 23 and has her bachelor's degree in art history in hopes of one day becoming a museum curator. In the meantime she is traveling the world to housesit which allows her to see the world, make some money, see all the art the world has to offer before she starts pursuing her masters.

To be closer to her sister, she housesits for her Aunt on the West Coast. It's at a magical place called Palo Alto, that on her first day runs into not only one hot eligible guy, but two ! Dr. Abbott - the vet and the scorching hot pool guy. {::sigh:: only in books}

When the door bell rings, Sydney assumes it's the pool guy. Enter Lautner Sullivan. Mistaking him for the pool guy, he goes with it and one thing happens after another and he's in the pool...NAKED! Now when I read that part of a friend's review, I was already in (I know...pervy but true). Not only is he not the pool guy, who just happens to have a body of a Heisman Trophy candidate, but he's starting his residency in pediatric medicine! Wha?? You say... That's right ladies, he's sex on a stick and he's smart. And that's just scratching the surface of all that is Dr. Lautner Sullivan.

"Boy meets girl. Boy physically feels like he's gasping for air because the girl before him is just stunning,absolutely...breathtaking."

They both know from the start that she's only going to be around for one month and neither of them are looking for distractions from their goals.

At first their encounters are gut busting hilarious. Seriously I was rolling and laughing and snorting and holding my stomach. The writing is fun and cheeky and full of teasing - of the sweet and funny kind.

"I was not jealous!" I yell in a high pitched voice.
 "Uh...your striptease was entitled
 'Where Lautner's hand will never be again 
 if he doesn't keep them off Dr. Skank.'"

But then what happens when the unexpected happens? What would you do if you found someone you have a passionate connection with knowing from the start that you only have 30 days to be together? Until it was time to go on with life and continue following the path towards your dreams? What if it wasn't just a fling but life changing? A deal breaker?

Even if you're not big on the angst and the misunderstanding and some of the plots that are used in this book...there is absolutely no way you will not fall in love with Lautner!



GAWD OH GAWD...where do I start with my Lautner Sullivan gush fest?
Is it that posing as the pool guy when we first meet him and he jumps in the pool naked? Is it that he is funny and teases Sydney in all the best ways? Is it that he can be the sweetest man for leaving flowers, tea, and breakfast pastries with regularity? Or is it that he full out LOVES Sydney and he isn't afraid to say and show it?

And of course a new top book boyfriend has to have the right amount of naughty.

"I left you in a hot mess this morning and you need to be serviced." His voice drips of confidence or most likely arrogance.

"What? No, that's not...um..."

"Sorry, babe. I didn't realize just how tightly wound you would be by now. Damn, you can't even form a coherent thought. Get naked, I'll see you in ten."

"Lau-"
He hung up on me!

Yeaaaaaaaaaah that's what I'm talking about!


This story had everything in a book I could want. It had you laughing your ass off, it gave you love tingles, it had you clutching your heart and wiping some tears. The angst level was very high and I'm not big on a lot of angst but I made it through and gained a new book on my favorite shelf!!!

" Is there such a thing as fate?

Ath the moment I feel so lucky to have such amazing reads. 2015 has been very good so far. I've come to read new authors and Undeniably You may be one of those books that goes beyond the fabulous read I've had.



Once again I have to thank my lovely friend Allison for her recommendation. I would have probably missed this book if it wasn't for her.

Undeniably You is one hell of a story. I read it in less than 24 hours (and I was working). It tells you everything you need to know right?

One more time I can't reveal much about the plot and the story behind the blurb. You are going to think I'm a horrible reviewer because I tend to say it a lot lately but once again trust me when I say the blurb gives you enough information. You don't need to know more. The blurb gives you the beginning and then follow your gut for the rest ;)

I'm still going to talk about my feelings towards the characters or the writing because I want everyone who's following me to read this book! It's so worth it ^^

Lautner Sullivan is flawless. And I weight my words.
He is the absolute perfect hero and book boyfriend. The things he says are beautiful and heartfelt.
What makes him who he is and what makes you see Lautner is a good man, is his love for Sydney. Once again completely flawless...

But Lautner makes me feel beautiful. It’s not lust, it’s more. I recognize it. It’s the way I look at a piece of art and see something nobody else does.


Sydney Montgomery is a dream kinda girl. She is scared to not live her life fully and to not follow her dreams.
IMO, she is blinded by her goal/dream when she meets Lautner. She is 23 years old and what would you do if you met a guy for a month? Would you drop everything you want for him?

I wasn't always ok with what she does and how she reacts but I've decided to let it go and not change my rating. Because I get that was how she deals with her story. And moreover that is her story.
If the circumstances were different, the story would have been totally different too. Lautner and Sydney had to go through some obstacles to be together.




The writing was fantastic. I don't remember a time where I've laughed so much while reading.
Sydney was so funny. I've posted an update during a particular scene where she read the instruction to know how to put a condom while they were doing it. It was hilarious. But that's also how Sydney is. She is adorable, she has a crazy side, she is not fearful to be herself and that what I liked about her.
Undeniably You was just incredible because in a matter of hours I felt so many different emotions. I was so enthralled in the story I felt joy, pain, love all at the same time the characters did and that how I know I had an amazing book in my hands.

Undeniably good and undeniably angsty...what more could you ask for? Romance? check. Hot and steamy sex? check, check. Drama? Hell to the yes check!

When you see a book showing up in a lot of your friends feeds and getting lots of four and five stars, you owe it to yourself to check it out...especially when your friends start recommending it to you. (thanks NinaReader!)

But this book really screws with you! The prologue starts off with Sydney getting married and we don't have any idea to whom. The first chapter starts with Sydney house ~and dog~ sitting for her aunt in Palo Alto. She's taking time off to save up for grad school. The dog is having some issues so she's off to the vet, Yummy #1. (The dog is fine) Then the pool guy shows up, aka Yummy #2...this is where the fun begins.

Now here's a dilemma...knowing it's an angsty book and there's tons of drama made me constantly wonder what's going to happen. It almost takes away from me just sitting back and enjoying the book. And it really made me want to read some reviews because we all know that someone out there will include all the spoilers. BUT...I just couldn't do it. And I highly suggest that you don't either.

The book will suck you right in especially after the second chapter that occurs where the prologue ended...OMG! I just knew that was going to happen. What I didn't know what why.



So yes...there are some plots that a lot of people won't like (yes there is cheating! ) and I have to admit, I really didn't care for some of them. Because even though this book is fiction, there has to be a certain amount of logic and ugh...it just bugs me when there's not (all her excuses for not telling Lautner and with his mom being sick? she would not have stayed away!).

I was immediately drawn to Yummy #1...there was just something about him....that sweet awkwardness just got to me. He was always there for her and I definitely wanted his POV.

But Yummy #2 is OMG...sooo, sooo good. Sooo romantic, sooo sexy, sooo everything. I don't know how many times I wanted to hit Sydney over the head! And I was dying for his POV...and the little bone at the end just wasn't enough!

The drama is over the top...sooo many twists and turns. I just couldn't put the book down and I certainly didn't want it to end. This is my first book by Jewel E. Ann and it certainly won't be the last. I highly recommend it!

Words fail me with this book. I ought to be pissed. The author reeled me in with Sydney’s comedic antics while she’s being wooed by sexy Dr. Lautner Sullivan. For the most part, I smiled and swooned my way through the first half of the book. Mid-way through, however, it’s as if a switch gets flipped and the tone takes a dramatic turn. Things become complicated, serious, and heartbreaking. And by heartbreaking I mean lump-in-throat, stomach-in-knots, yank-your-heart-out, and stomp-on-it painful. The worst part is the angst lasts throughout the entire second half, and yet I couldn’t put the book down. It’s like being unable to drive past a car wreck without looking or having a mosquito bite you can’t stop scratching. The way the plot is orchestrated is classic bait and switch and I probably should be pissed—but I’m not because the story is so painfully beautiful.

Every once in awhile I’ll stumble upon a book that catches me completely off guard. It’s only meant to be a light read, but it hits me at exactly the right time, pushes all my emotional buttons, and for whatever reason it simply means… more. That’s not to say the story is perfect. The heroine can be irrational at times, and a frequently-used plot device is employed that’s typically a pet peeve of mine. When executed by such a skilled storyteller as Jewel E. Ann, however, it wasn’t enough to stop me from loving the hell out of this book. The poignancy crept up on me, and the Hallmark-worthy ending had me melting in a pile of mush and clutching a wad of Kleenex.

So I guess I don’t have the words to write a great review because I really don’t want to overanalyze things. I just want to take this warm and fuzzy feeling and cuddle up with it for a little longer.

After reading so many awesome reviews for this book, I just had to give it a try. Especially since a lot of those reviews had warnings about the amount of angst in this book....and we all know I love me some angst !!!



This book actually started out pretty funny. I really laughed my ass off !!

Sydney is house and dogsitting for her aunt and uncle. She has decided to spend a year housesitting for people all over the world, to make some money, so she can go to school she wants and become an art curator. This is her biggest dream, so she is sticking to her plans.

This is how she meets Lautner. And damn Lautner was awesome !! These two definitely had instant chemistry !!



They can't deny their chemistry and attraction for one another, but Sydney, she knows she is gonna leave in a month, so she wants them to remain casual.... Lautner agrees and these two set about exploring one another :P

Now I can't say much more about this story, without really spoilering it and I don't want to ruin it for others...

All you need to know is that everything goes to shit !!!!



As much as the first part of this book made me laugh and swoon....the second part made me wants to scream. There were moments when I just got so angry....

Now all I can say is...hang in there...it will get better ;)

I really enjoyed this one. I like books that can me feel so many different emotions all in one go, and this one definitely did that.



I went from laughing my ass off, to crying and screaming....to eventually swooning and I closed this book with a huge smile on my face ;)

Writing: A-Freaking-Mazing! The woman is gifted.

Characters: Sam and Lautner. I have a brand spanking new book boyfriend! Sam is neurotic and Lautner is a calming presence. They are great together.

Storyline: Sam is house sitting and meets Lautner by accident. They decide to take advantage of Sam’s limited time by spending it with each other before Sam leaves the country. They begin to fall in love, but Sam denies it and leaves anyway. Circumstances bring her back, and they are both in for a big surprise.

This story had so much emotion. Jewel took me on this fantastic ride. I was so happy and smiling along with the characters, but right before the peak, Jewel DROPS ME 90 STORIES!

OH THE LOW was so bad. I was devastated. I was moaning and wailing. Whimpering how could this happen? And then the ride starts over again on a different path. The hope was thick in the second half that I was hanging on every word.

Intimacy Scenes: Flawed beauty. It was beautiful and imperfect. Emotional and hot!

Overall: MAGNIFICENT. Jewel is a genius. For a whole day, reality did not exist. I was consumed by this story and was distraught when it ended.

I read Undeniably You for two reasons it was recommended to me by a friend on here, and Patty's review had me so intrigued I had to meet Lautner. This was my first time reading Jewel E Ann and I have fallen in love with her writing and I will be reading her other books SOON.

Sydney Montgomery is a professional house-sitter traveling around the world saving money for her dream job and nothing is going to stop her plans. She is house-sitting / dog sitting for her Aunt and Uncle in Palo Alto.

Lautner Sullivan is on a break before he starts his gruelling three years Paediatrics residency, he ends up at Sydney's house and there is a case of mistaken identity when Sydney thinks he is the "pool guy" .

This is how it begins there is instant attraction between them Lautner woos Sydney with flowers, chai tea lattes and pastries. There is lots of hot sizzling sex, fun and games but as far as Sydney is concerned their relationship will end in thirty days as she is leaving for Paris.

What has the future got in store for Lautner and Sydney????

While reading this my emotions were up and down like a roller coaster happy, angry and sad and my nerves were wrecked and I have never been so SHOCKED reading a few words as my gif showed. This has everything you need for a heart wrenching romance the twist and turns their relationship went through. WOW OMG

I loved Lautner, Sydney and all the other characters that made Undeniably You such a special read and of course I cannot forget Swarley the dog.

I loved the book until 40% mark and after 60% mark I absolutely hated it.

I don't know how can hiding a child from the father be considered alright, just because the mother is insecure and selfish. Heroine choices made me so incredibly angry that I wished I never touched this book.

Wow, what an emotional journey! For me and the characters, lol.
I really liked this book. The first half was funny, full of antics and pretty light. I was moving along and not impressed by the book, but content. Then the second half completely turned everything around. Things became uber serious, angsty, emotional and stressful. I'm not a huge fan of the, "don't talk but act even if it's stupid" trope. I'm also not a huge fan of the, "misinterpretation thus leading to shitstorms" trope either. I'll keep those vague, but I will say that despite those tropes, I really liked this and had my heart handed to me.

There were a number of scenes I had to stop and take a full breath. It hurt to read them because of the angst and emotional upheaval going on. I've seen others say they weren't impressed with Sydney and her choices. While I understand that, I also understood her behaviors and decisions. I actually stopped and questioned alternatives to things, possibilities even, but I always came back to her rationale. I won't elaborate since its best to just read this, but suffice it to say I got Sydney but also got Lautner. Let's talk about him, shall we?

SEXY. SWEET. SEDUCTIVE.

Yep, that's Dr. Lautner Sullivan. He was those things and more. I loved this guy, seriously. At the midway point when shit hit the fan, he gutted me. I loved the second half way more than the first. I loved the ending and the epilogue. One thing I didn't understand though, was Emma's supposed reaction to Lautner leaving her for Syd. He said she was ok with it and wanted a man to look at her like Lautner did at Syd? SAY WHAT?! No screaming, crying, kicking? Seems awfully mellow for a girl 2 weeks before her nuptials to just shrug it off. Anywho, it's not a demerit against the book just a weird thing for me.
Otherwise, this was sweet, emotional and beautiful. I'm glad Sydney grew the way she did and that she and Lautner, despite the obstacles, let love lead their way, sigh.
